Fantastic
Thee staff was very helpful and friendly. They called us taxis, made recommendations, and the outside dining for breakfast was very pleasant. We will be back the next time we visit Rome.

It was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. They helped us arrange private transportation from their hotel to Civitavecchia which was great. The only downside - the beds are quite hard but it was manageable. In the end, I would stay there again.

Room size
As you do for most other properties, you need to mention the size of the room so there are no surprises for your guests. The room size, not including the bathroom and a very small entrance corridor, was less than 5 square meters. That's not a room; it is barely a jail cell. The limited space made it feel cramped and suffocating, while the tiny window didn't allow much natural light or fresh air to enter, further intensifying the sensation of being trapped in a confined space. It was an uncomfortable and unsettling experience due to the lack of space and the feeling of isolation from the outside world.

Breakfast was so so. Room was tiny. Frig didn't work. Shower sprayed water everywhere and hot water was sparce. Bed was uncomfortable and didn't fit on frame. Elevator was broken most of the time. Staff were nice and helpful.

Located literally a couple of mins walk from Ottaviano Metro Station and around a 10min walk to the Vatican, this is a small cozy hotel. We had read reviews that the area is not safe but we didn't find anything unsafe about the location. Its situated in a leafy main road, a few restaurants on the street but walk 2 mins and you have lots of restaurants and shops in a oarallel street. The staff were absolutely amazing. The room was a little small but perfect for us as we just went there to sleep at night. Its tremendous value for money, clean and superbly located.

I loke everything about the place, its proximity to lots of sights in Rome and most esp. the Vatican. Staff very helpful and they don’t bother you at all. Breakfast is superb I kept craving for their authentic Italian presentation. I want to come back there, God willing!

Hotel near Vatican
Good location near to the subway station and easily walkable to the Vatican. Friendly service at reception and reasonable breakfast particularly as it was included in the price. Room slightly tired but fundamentally fine. Slightly off situation with our shower in that it was in the corner of the room.

Decent stay
The room was tidy and comfortable. There were a couple mosquitos in the room, but otherwise it was nice. The spa was not in working operation when I was there, so I was disappointed. Otherwise, it’s well connected to city center with bus and tram.

Poor customer service
I didn't end up staying at San Relais, though I paid for the night in the room. I accidentally booked two rooms for the same night due to an issue with the hotels.com app and neither hotels.com nor San Relais would allow me to cancel the night. While true that I had selected the no cancellation reservation, I only made the second reservation after the app told me the room was no longer available. I was not impressed with the customer service and wouldn't recommend staying there in the future in case you had a similar problem.

Located in a lovely tree-lined street with restaurants close by. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Towels changed every day and air conditioning very effective. Best of all, had our breakfast on the lovely roof terrace each morning. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this place
We were a family of 5 traveling to Rome and found this accommodation fantastic. Because we were 5 we needed to get two rooms and they wound up being adjoining with a door which worked out great. The location is very convenient being only two blocks from a metro and not too far of a walk to the Vatican and other attractions in the city. There are a ton of restaurants and other shops within a couple minute walk. We were welcomed by extremely friendly and helpful reception staff that spoke English very well and they interacted wonderfully with our kids. Our rooms were very clean and came with a nice spa welcome gift. Overall the place was modern, clean and well located. We really liked the top floor patio where breakfast is served, a lovely place to relax in the afternoon away from the bustling city and tourists. Highly recommend. My only knock is that our rooms 101 and 102 were facing the main street so there was some street noise from cars and people sitting outside at night at the next door cafe but not that big of a deal once we had the air conditioning on. Wi-fi was free but a bit spotty in our rooms.

Milton at the Reception desk was superb. He offered us a perfect tourist walking route to do by ourselves. All his recommendations were super helpful and allowed us to see a lot in just 2 days. He really went the extra mile. The place was the perfect location for Vatican and most central spots, the room was perfectly clean, the shower is fine warm, no hot. The shower is is modern see through. Cool color-light panel behind the bed. Breakfast at the terrace was good, varied and relaxing.

I found the walls were thin and neighboring rooms were loud at times. I could here one man talking on cell after midnight. I could hear another man snore at night then throwing up in the morning. But this would not deter me from staying here again.

We had a wonderful stay, the staff were very helpful and the location was perfect! We were able to walk to the Vatican within minutes! Plenty of restaurants around and we were able to walk to catch a shuttle bus to take us to the airport for 6 euro. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We had a great stay here. The staff were excellent throughout our stay. The room are a bit basic but the location near Vatican City more than made up for this. Breakfast was a continental buffet but was very good with plenty of choice and the breakfast lady was constantly replenishing everything. This hotel is in walking distance of most attractions. Once again great stay.

Close to the Vatican, pleasant, helpful staff, good value breakfast, lovely close local restaurant. However, room very small. Couldn't open the wardrobe fully as the bed was in the,way. Couldn't sit at the dressing table as the bed was in.the way. Worst point though was the paper thin walls, especially with a very vocal female in the next room, which was actually an adjoining room.

Great location, friendly staff, cool room, great price. We thought the spa facilities were open to guests (that's why I chose this hotel) and only massages were extra but it turns out entrance to the spa costs money; that was the only downside and otherwise we had a great stay.

The hotel was good the only thing that wasn’t working was the air conditioning overall location is great walking distance to all the sites also we didn’t know on the weekends most places are closed can’t do to much for restaurant or bars :(

RelaisHotel San Pietro
Great location 5 blocks from Vatican. Very helpful and friendly staff and a varied and tasty breakfast on rooftop terrace. Many good cafes and restaurants in a very peaceful Rome neighborhood. Room itself was small with minimal amenities but everything else positive.

Nice hotel close to the Vatican
Enjoyed the closeness to the Vatican and being within walking distance to the main attractions. The hotel terrace was a pleasant place to eat breakfast along with the nearby restaurants recommended by the hotel. The metro was just a 5 minute walk away giving easy access to the colosseum.
