The location is good, but this place is definitely not a four star hotel. The staff is not very nice. The pool is has nice views, but it is small and often crowded. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The service at this property was top notch. The staff always greeted you with a smile and were happy to help in any way. The property location was great. Walk across the street to cococabana beach and short walk to Impena beach. The views from the pool were amazing. There were some fabulous (and cheap) restaurants right outside the door of the hotel.The breakfast at the hotel was very expensive and not worth it in my opinion.

Overpriced and overrated establishment Swimming pool on the roof deck is not fit for purpose …basic accommodation with no view of Rio …very overpriced with no complimentary refreshments offered in the basic rooms .There are no facilities in this establishment , service is poor to say the least and lack of atmosphere …avoid making a reservation here it will ruin your time in Rio

Copacabana dream come true
100% recommended. We loved everything about the hotel. It is a small boutique hotel. Service was perfect, everybody knows your name, room and they are so attentive. The rooftop is breathtaking and the view from our room was a dream come true.

Wonderful hotel, great location
Lovely stay, heavenly place. Great staff. My only issue was the room was called a "King Courtyard." It's very expensive, so I was really disappointed to see it's just a regular room (albeit a nice one) with an ugly view. The hotel does not even have a courtyard! I complained and Bruna from Guest Experiences was very kind. This name should be changed because it is false advertising. The location at the end of Copacabana next to Ipanema is great. Octavio on the amazing rooftop restaurant was also very charming. All in all a great stay.

Beautiful hotel. Staff was extremely attentive & kind. Level of service here was lovely. Sheets were great, shower presser wonderful, little added extras by the hotel staff made it a special stay. I really enjoyed it. design & interior were very cool. Great Stay!

I loved this hotel. Everything was wonderful. Some areas for improvement including the check-in process as well as the absence of any staff on arrival by car outside. One has to go through a small door before we see anyone welcoming you. Also, they should stop charging for in room coffee.

Now, before i start this review, let me tell you we are a family of jaded and spoked New Yorkers used to stay at great boutique hotels all over the world. I didn’t know Emiliano existed , but our friends from Sao Paolo recommended. We were smitten. The ambiance , the suite , the culinary delight, the decor , the view from the rooftop, the service , the location! We loved it so much we switched our reservation at Sao Paolo for another Emiliano. One of the best places i have stayed in!

The hotel is incredibly beautiful. The rooms and the roof make full use of the stretch of copacabana it faces. The restaurant is nice and included breakfast more generous than expected. My only complaint was not receiving the room upgrade upon checkin despite the room type showing available. But we loved the room we booked.

Exceptional services. We originally booked our stay for 3 days and extend to a week we have returned 3 weeks later for one night. I was unwell and through their amazing concierge services i got a doctor visit booked in 2 hours and the reception handled the medication to be collected from the pharmacy and sent to my room in less than an hour. Will definitely recommend a stay at this beautiful luxury boutique hotel. It has everything that you need for a perfect stay: great service, perfect location, amazing facilities and a team that will go above and beyond to help! Thank you Emiliano team!!

We got to the hotel super early they let us clean ourselves up in the spa area before our room was ready and they checked us in at 10a which was great since we had such a long flight from the US. Room was amazing, view was amazing, food (breakfast and room service) was amazing, staff was hospitable for the most part. The pool is small (and heated!) but great views over looking the beach. It’s located at the quieter end of the beach, they offer complementary umbrellas and chairs and the beach attendant was super cool he had sunscreen and water for us as well. The toilets in the room are heated (which I definitely think is worth mentioning). The shower was roomy and powerful. Overall it was great. The only issue I had was the comforter and towels had stains on them, which was off putting. I knew they were washed and clean, but I still didn’t like that. Overall, I still think it’s the best hotel on the strip and I recommend it because you won’t find anything better.

The hotel does not honour the Expedia VIP Access package. When I arrived, they would not upgrade to the next level, even though they were still selling rooms in the next category. They made up excuses, and tried to charge me for the upgrade, so eventually I ended up staying in the same category I booked. The late check-out which was also part of the Expedia offer, also never happened. The reception staff are arrogant and not welcoming at all. Most of them won’t even look at you when you come to the desk. They talk to you while looking at the PC screen. Everyone makes you feel that you should be grateful that you are allowed to stay at the Emiliano. One of the show pieces of the hotel is the infinity pool on the top floor. Unfortunately when I arrived it was covered with scaffolding. This was later replaced with another structure, which covered the entire area with a transparent plastic roof. If you ever wondered how it feels to be baked, then please spend some time on the roof of the Emiliano Hotel. None of the construction work was of course mentioned anywhere on the Expedia website. You will only find out when you get there. This hotel is made for clients who want to be seen and show off, who don’t care about practicalities and hospitality. You can get some great Instagram pictures out of the Emiliano, but it does not reflect the quality of the stay. My suggestion, stay somewhere else. There are better and more friendly 5 star hotels in Rio.
