Left welcome baskets to be placed in the room for out of Town Mayor who was visiting as a guest speaker for our local High School. All the custom items in the baskets were stolen prior to the guest arriving. Staff gave two different reasons as to at happened and neither made sense or justified the theft. I would not stay or use this hotel chain again due to lack of trust !!!!

The room was basically clean, but it has been noted, especially over the last few years that some types of cleaning, such as around baseboards in bathrooms, has been lacking. I actually just went ahead and wiped up some yuk around our bathroom door area. I literally wiped it up with toilet tissue, so it is not a scrubbing issue. We also had a pair of men's underwear left under our bathroom vanity on the shelf with towels and extra toilet paper. We moved out our hide a bed sofa to make room we needed and found an unfired bullet under the sofa. The tiles in the pool have not been cleaned for some time. I worked at a pool for 4 years as a teenager, so I know about this. Also, the water was not completely clear and the chlorine content was too high causing eye irritation. In general, we like Home 2 Suites and it meets our travel needs when with our grandchildren. The issues we had with the underwear were addressed in a very timely manner. Also, ungodly noise in the room above ours at 6 a.m. was also addressed quickly.

Very clean and updated
The room is very spacious. Breakfast is ok, nothing really special. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Very close to several restaurants.

Checked in around 7p, no one was at feont desk for about a half hour. Cleaning staff was available, folding sheets in the dining area....but front desk was unavailable, short staffed to save money i spose. Windows have some debris all over them like wet newspaper.

Overall, I'd stay here again, but we did have problems, which I was told were all in the process of being addressed. The outside back door locked at 7am, the pool was closed, and the blinking smoke detector light in the room which annoyed everyone. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The property was quiet. Call and ask about the pool, because we were not told that it would be closed.

Great place to stay!
We enjoyed our 1-night stay at this hotel and would stay there again if we are in the area. The breakfast was great and the employee working in that area was on top of everything and very courteous. Our room was quiet and large enough to accommodate our family. The pool was amazing and felt warm, which is rare for hotel pools that we have stayed at in the past. Overall pleased with our experience.

Nice clean hotel, all the staff we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice sized and had all the amenities we needed. Pool was clean and warm, and the breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again!

Not the best place to stay. When we pulled out our couch bed the mattress was stained and gross! When we went to the front desk to ask for a new room they were very hesitant to get us another room. They finally did. When we pulled the table out in our new room in the morning for breakfast it was filthy and had definitely not been cleaned by housekeepers.

Would have been nicer had there been another set of elevators at the other end of the hotel. Wasn’t many parking options at the main door, so we had to park at the back but then walk to the main doors to get to the elevator and then our room was at the back of the building on the 4th floor. Other than that, the room was great, staff was very pleasant, breakfast was eh. Overall, great stay.

A perfect place for home base as we went around Richmond. I do wish there was a can opener but other than that, very nice! Beds a little uncomfortable but I didn't mind.

NO REST FOR THE WEARY BUT VERY FRIENDLY STAFF
The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, the pillows were TOO SOFT; no matter how many adjustments we made with the pillows, and constantly moving around, just couldn't get comfortable. Therefore, we did not have a good night's rest during the entire stay.
