We originally booked a family room. All the family rooms face a junky looking alley. They were very accommodating and moved us to a standard room with an ocean and pool view the next day. I would definitely book there again, but just would advise everyone to book a standard room instead of one of the cool family rooms (unless the view doesn't matter to you)

PROS: The staff at the resort were amazing!! Specifically Andrea in the buffet and Johnny and Paola at the activities pool! Great location. Right by the marina where the cruise ships port so it was cool watching the ships come and go throughout the week. There was also a nice little flea market by the marina so you were within walking distance of some souvenir shopping. If you want to go further into Puerto Vallarta by the boardwalk, it was a short cab ride away. The beach was clean and beautiful. Nice sand, waves were not too big so kids were easily able to play in the water. We never had a problem finding beach chairs. We enjoyed the activities at the activity pool (zip line for the kids, giant chess game, ping pong). Never had a problem finding a chair at the pool with lots be of umbrellas to provide shade if desired. CONS: The resort is very dated and it shows (tiles missing from pools, paint chipped, etc). The food was average at best in the buffet and snack bar with not a huge variety. The restaurants were good but the booking system makes it almost impossible to get a reservation (you literally have to go on every day at 9:01am or you will miss the window to book). The pools were not always the cleanest. The family rooms are nice to have the bunk bed but they are located on a roadway (away from the ocean), do not have balconies and there is zero privacy in the bathroom as the doors to the shower and toilet are opaque and do not lock.

The cleaning staff was rude, slow, and often lied to us about when the room would be cleaned and then pretend they couldn't understand english when challenged on it later. Sometimes they would knock on the door, to clean the room only to run away when we answered the door because they just wanted to say they came to clean but we didn't answer. I say this because no matter how fast I answered the door, the person who knocked would be walking away when I opened the door, and then refused to acknowledge me as I walked after them begging them to come clean the room. In the week we were there our room was cleaned only 3 times. This made the whole trip feel kind of gross.

We loved to beach and the view to the ocean Our room was dirty and there was bed bugs, my entire body is covered in bug bites which made my sleep terrible due to the itching. I asked for a different room and the new room was not very clean and the bathroom smelled like pee so bad. We closed the bathroom door because of the bad smell and had to use the public restroom downstairs. Most of the workers at the hotel don’t speak english no one really helps much. The safe in my room got locked and it took 2 different ppl to unlock it. It might be all inclusive and looks like a good deal but I highly not recommend this resort to anyone. Now I am afraid the bed bugs might be in the luggage and I pray to God not to bring the bed bugs home.

The staff are superb. Stayed here for 5 days and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Buffet food was not great but my kids are picky. Make sure to bring pesos as its near impossible to get money converted here. Very safe and tourist friendly. We will be back :) :)

We absolutely loved the options and locations, this resort had to offer. The water park for the kids, provides a wide variety of age appropriate things to do. The only thing i didnt like was the dinner reservation system, they have in place. You scan a bar code outside a restaurant and advised by staff to log in at 7:30am to book for that nights dineer. They have many placesmto eat but besides the Buffet each night' (which was amazing) it was always booked up. Walking by resaurants you would have wanted atbthat particular time and there were many empty seats. Trying, I was told we couldbt come inside inless we had a reservation. Breakfast was great. Lunch hour food sereved between meals. Amazing. We will definitely return. Well done all of you!

When we arrived we didn’t like how dated and cheap everything appeared so we decided we wanted to look around before checking in. We weren’t impressed in the least but after a long travel day we decided to spend the night and find somewhere else to stay for our remaining 6 days in the morning. The room was soothe most raggedy thing about the resort. Plus, our sliding door was broken and didn’t lock or even completely close. So we didn’t even spend the night.

Clean, excellent service, good wine and tequila. The layout is convenient as everyone’s close to the beach and pools. I would like to see more breakfast options. It was the same every day. Honest review from a person so spent hours reading reviews about the hotel. This place is amazing for kids. The water park is great and the zip line in the mornings is so much fun for kids. The resort is clean. The beach is not private, therefore we saw some locals drinking and playing music…. But I don’t think any beach in PV is private. The rooms are run down but we only slept in there so it wasn’t a big deal. Water pressure in the shower was the best I’ve experienced in Mexico. I was quite impressed. The phone left lots to desire. Thank goodness for the omelette bar and chilaquiles in the morning. We encounter a situation at the Buffett where a waiter was extremely rude. Drinks are ok. I made this trip for my kids and they really enjoyed themselves. Don’t expect luxury at this resort but if you want cleanliness, plenty of staff to lay out by the pools, and a great play area for your kids, then this is the place. I wouldn’t be opposed to returning.

Worst resort I've ever stayed at. From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out everything was horrible. The room was dirty. There were stains on the sheets, the floor was so dirty, there was even roaches. We asked for a room change and it was the same thing. The food was the worst. The reservation system for the restaurants was ridiculous. If you did not get in by 9:01 am into the system you were screwed. Absolutely the worst vacation of my life.

We weren’t very impressed with the accommodations. The rooms were terrible, bugs, mold, and tiny. A coffee maker was like pulling teeth to get. The kids club was a joke, with 45 minute time slots only, very misleading compared to other resorts. You couldn’t book the restaurants in advance so unless you logged into the booking system right at 9:01 every morning you were out of luck as they’d be booked. They would accommodate our group eating together anyways (8 of us) in either the restaurants or the buffet. Thankfully there are many wonderful places in PV to eat outside of the resort. The food at the resort was very good. The pools and kids splash park were all beautiful as well as the beach. We will not be returning to the crown paradise.

The hotel is old AF, a glass shade falling off on the balcony, sliding balcony door does not lock, bulbs burnt out, telephone plug was pulled from the wall, which didn’t matter cause no one ever picked up at reception. Furniture is dated and shows damage BUT beds were comfy. Buffet was ok, the extra restaurants to which you have to make reservations for, used food from the buffet, pizza was frozen, pannacotta stale. Food outside of the buffet and restaurants only included hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, tortilla chips nasty nacho cheese. In the end you get what you paid for so don’t expect 5 star accommodation, service and food It’s all 3 stars in my opinion. We won’t be returning here The kids section is great though Hotel is close to Walmart, marina, and proximity to downtown.
