My wife and I had the best time here! David is the greatest host weā€™ve ever had. So friendly, generous, and funny! The property is by far the cutest in the area. Incredible, vibrant murals, amazing ocean view, and a really cool outdoor space for your dog. The interior is so comfortable you wonā€™t want to leave, but you need to take the few steps to the longest stretches of beach in Baja! Highly recommended. Thank you David! Weā€™ll be back for sure. See you soon!

Beautiful property and well maintained. David greeted us upon arrival with a property tour and tequila! Very warm and welcoming. Quick 3 minute walk down to the beach and 30 minutes to Valle de Guadalupe. La Fonda restaurants and bars super close. We can't wait to stay again!

David and David are wonderful hosts. This is our 3rd stay at casa martini. The proximity to the ocean is great and being able to watch the ocean from the living room or balcony is very relaxing. Casa Martini is very comfortable and welcoming. We love it here. We'll be back!

this property is exceptional in every way. It is beautiful inside and out, a great ocean view, furnished perfectly with a wonderful kitchen and bathroom and great bed. the property is very secure and easily located and very fairly priced. Additional benefits are the wonderful owner and his dogs.

I came out to Baja from New Jersey for business and had the pleasure of staying with David in his stunning guest house. The accommodations were incredible. David is an attentive and wonderful host who left no stone unturned. The house was clean, beautiful and cozy. I will absolutely be back again in the near future and highly recommend Casa Martini for your next getaway!

We enjoyed the large picture window all day, every day and the ocean view and sunsets were stunning. I've been visiting baja for 30 years and Casa Martini has one of the only wide, sandy, beautiful beaches at all times of the year. Being so close to two of the best restaurants, it was a great find. We didn't have to drive far for anything. The Davids put such a great decorating flair to the apartments and their special touches of wine, donuts and great coffee made our stay feel better than home! So wish I had brought my dog!

This is my third stay here in less than a year, it is just a wonderful place to stay. The decor is amazing, the ocean view is great and the area has all sorts of entertaining things to do. These include the fine dining of Valle Guadalupe, wine tasting, surfing, horseback riding, or even just walking on the beach. But, what makes this place really great is your host David, if you need a light bulb he has one, if you need a dinner recommendation or someone to watch your dog he is on it. He and his workers will carry your luggage, wash your car and in general completely make sure you have a great stay.

My husband and I frequent Baja several times a year and have stayed all over. This experience was by far the best weā€™ve had. David and David are exceptional hosts. The place was absolutely stunning. Our dog had a blast. It was quite literally perfection! When I first read the very favorable reviews for this place I wondered how it could be so good. Well now I know. Do yourself a favor and book this place asap! We cannot wait to go back! Thank you David x2 for everything!

Casa Martini was a great rental. It was clean, comfortable, and picturesque. David is a great host. The pictures truly don't do it justice. You've got to see it to believe it. He designed the indoor and outdoor spaces; a masterpiece. Although the weather was overcast and rainy, the warmth of the space (design and heat from the fireplace) kept us contented. My fiance and I are looking forward to our return; maybe for our honeymoon!

The property is amazing! What a view!! You can see the ocean with beautiful sunsets.. So cozy and romantic if that is what you are looking for or just FUN. Walk to the beach all they way to restaurants. Gated and secure. Place was clean and had everything we needed. David is an amazing host. Provided us wine, snacks, and much more! He is very accommodating. Knowledgeable about the area. We will be back next month! Its was great! Highly recommended!

This had to be one of our favorite Airbnb's that we've ever stayed in. The grounds were beautiful, the house we stayed in was romantic, relaxing, colorful, had all the amenities you could ask for, the view of the beach and the house yard was spectacular. The hosts David and David were so accommodating and friendly. We even went to dinner with them the first night and had a great time. I could not recommend a better place than La Mision. And the cherry on top was that they wash your car right before you leave. The location was perfect as you are right in the middle of Ensenada and Rosarito Beach. The wineries are around 20 minutes away. And if you don't feel like driving to eat, there are two really good restaurants right down the street. And the beach is right down a flight of steps and is private. We loved La Mision and can't wait to go back!! Karen and Dorene

This place is amazing and even better than the photographs! The host David is warm and welcoming and you immediately feel at home. Few highlights from our stay- The knowledge: David knows the area well and is always ready to share where to go and what to consider - take advantage of that! The grounds: First off, you feel very safe there as you are in a gated community and David's place is secured as well. The grounds are immaculate, including the dog garden (yes, there is a section dedicated to puppers!), from the plants to the decor, the murals (plural) to the detail work. The short walk to the beach is easyā€¦ unlike a lot of sections in the area, it's not down a cliffside (there are a few steps). The living space: The place is larger than we had expected w/a great, fully stocked kitchen, large bedroom, amazing fireplace, cozy couch, washer/dryer and perfect patio area. The view out the living room window, with the layers of garden, tiled roofs, crashing waves, & passing hummingbirds, is something you could stare out all day. The bed: Thankfully a very comfortable king bed. There is traffic noise from the highway, so you are aware, but it mostly blends into the sound of the ocean soothing you to sleep. The area: There are a number of restaurants closeby so you have options. North is Rosarito and South is Ensenada, so plenty to explore, however you may just want to stay at David's the whole time! For sure a 5 out of 5 stay - enjoy!

I was looking for a place to rent somewhere between Tijuana and Ensenada, Mexico that would welcome my dog. David and David's Casa Martini in La Mision popped up and I was sold from the photos and description, but the reality is even better! I have traveled extensively and can honestly say that this hacienda is one of the most charming, beautiful, and enjoyable places I have stayed. Everything you could possibly want or need is there, (except for a TV but who needs that on a Mexican vacation, anyway?). David Worthy could not be a better host, and the price is a steal. The endless, wide beach is a block or so walk from the house, and good restaurants are within a five - 10 minute drive. My friend picked me up at the San Diego airport, and La Mision is an easy 1 1/2 hour drive from there. We shopped in Ensenada one day (about 25 miles south), and drove a few miles north another day to shop in Puerto Nuevo. The house is beautiful, filled with art, and designed to accommodate no more than two people. It's situated in a gated community of lovely homes and feels very safe. I would recommend Casa Martini to anyone looking for a relaxing Mexican vacation in an upscale, lovely environment.

My sister and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Martini. David and David are hosts that dreams are made of. The attention to detail was exceptional with not a detail missed To create a five star experience. From the moment we arrived until when we pulled away we felt welcomed and cared for at every turn. While it seems impossible La Casa Martini is even more beautiful then the pictures. Everything was clean and tidy and you could tell a lot of thought was put into every decision. We arrived on a cooler night and David had the heat on to take the bite out of the air. Making our first steps into our home for the next several days cozy and inviting. The View from the patio and large bay window is unparalleled. Leaving you satisfied whether sitting inside or outside. The beach is only steps away making it an easy walk. The beach felt safe and was very clean. Every time we came and went David made an effort to check in with us to ensure we didnā€™t need anything. David is extremely Knowledgeable about the area and you can tell he loves where he lives and heā€™s proud to show it off. There was a fully stocked kitchen as described. You can tell David and David genuinely care about their guests and love meeting new people. We left feeling like we had a couple of new friends. We can think of no where else we would rather stay when visiting the area and will definitely visit again soon.

My husband and I and our dog stayed three nights last week at David Worthy's amazing property. Our last visit was during Christmas 2016. I rarely get around to doing reviews, but I did after finding Casa Martini that first time. We were so impressed with the beautiful casita, the grounds, the view, and especially with our host, David, that I really wanted to write one. I say host instead of property owner, because that is exactly what he is. We could only imagine what his friends experienced staying there if he gave complete strangers such royal treatment. So this second visit, instead of just referring you to my first five-star review that detailed everything, I just wanted to write to say that all of the great reviews are true, and not only that, if anything, David seems to be upgrading his "brand" even more. We were no longer strangers and he couldn't do enough for us. He took our dog out while we went wine tasting and since our car was completely dusty after the trip to the Guadalupe Valley, insisted on having our car washed before we left Actually he doesn't know any strangers, so if it's your first visit, you'll get the same Platinum experience. His garden is growing more beautiful and he's added even more art and accessories to invoke the beautiful Mexican style. We couldn't love going here more and can't wait to get back. I'd say I wished Casa Martini was closer to us in LA County, but if if were, we probably couldn't afford it, and probably couldn't get a reservation for that matter. Plus you'd have a crowded beach instead of the peaceful playa at La Mision. That's it. I know we've all read reviews on Yelp, etc.where people lament that the place "ain't what it used to be"; this is NOT one of those places. Thank you David!

I just re-read all of the reviews for this ocean property to see what I could add, and so to those of you looking at this rental, just believe all of them! This place is as wonderful as described: there is beauty wherever you look, inside or out. The photos faithfully depict the scene you'll enjoy. But the main thread that runs through all the reviews is the impact of property owner David Worthy who personally took the experience to the Platinum level. It was his vision that made the property so unique and, yes, over-the-top memorable. Yet it is the passion and joy he still holds for the little piece of paradise he created and shares with all of his guests that creates the atmosphere. If we're honest, pure joy isn't something we witness that often. Happy host, happy guests! We were extremely lucky during our four-night Christmas stay with our labrador, Abby (who I must say also showed unbridled joy on her daily off-the-leash runs on the wide uncrowded beach). We not only received David's greeting and tour of the casita, the bottle of wine, fruit, chocolates, delicious pastries, coffee, etc., but we were invited to he and his partner David's fun Christmas Eve party. We were so glad we went. Let me tell you, they and their friends from the La Mision community are so much fun! Thank you Dos Davids! My husband and I (and our three sons) have been going to the beaches of Northern Baja for 50 years (now with grandkids) . We've rented everywhere from San Antonio close to the U.S. border to Bajamar, but found La Mision about five years ago . Even in summer the beach isn't that crowded, but you can rent horses and ride them on the beach. Nearby is the famous (now two) La Fonda restaurant and you really don't have to go anywhere. But if you do, It's also only 15 minutes to a great lobster dinner in Puerto Nuevo and less than 30 minutes to wine country. The main reason we were so happy to find this casita is that we don't have to wait for a family vacation to come and visit. Casa Martini is a perfect couple getaway whether you're old like us or a young couple. And if you have never been brave enough to drive to Baja, I stongly encourage you to do so, Easy signs guide you to the Rosarito/Ensenada cuota and soon you'll be taking the La Fonda off ramp and drive into guard-gated La Mision. Don't let the "messy" scenes you see along the route bother you; all will be beautiful when you arrive at Casa Martini. Oh and come in winter: it's cold but beautiful!

Casa Martini is exquisite. Immaculately kept with a first class attention to detail. The casita is very well laid out and the interior is beautifully decorated, the large picture window with the view of the ocean is a highlight. The outside garden and sitting areas are a magical place to relax and watch the ocean and sunsets. The outside murals and decor make you feel like you are in an oasis (which you are!). One thing that sets this property apart from others we have rented is what wonderful hosts David and David are, thoughtful and highly personable. From the thorough orientation upon arrival, helpful suggestions about the area and gracious/prompt responses to any question we had, they go far above to make sure you feel welcome and comfortable. They also welcomed our little dog like she was family and looked in on her if we were away for the day - an added touch that made a huge difference. Absolutely everything you can think of is provided for you at Casa Martini, the list is too long to note here. Our 3 week stay was one of our best experiences with a vacation rental anywhere in the world & we highly recommend it! Thank you David & David for creating such a wonderful escape - we didnā€™t want to leave and are all ready looking forward to returning.

This was a vacation for us that was marked as the beginning of my retirement. A place to see the Baja coast and leave the rest behind for a while. Mission accomplished! I can't say enough good things about this property. It was home for 3 weeks. The pictures drew me in and they are accurate. Super safe gated community with very gracious hosts that live on site and belong to the community. Perfect location between Rosarito and Ensenada that gives a great base for day trips. Easy beach access. Small markets and great restaurants are close and everyone in the community was nice polite and helpful. If you're on the hunt for a place to stay stop hunting and book this spot or someone else will. Don't miss out.

Casa Martini is everything we were looking for in Baja Mexico to escape the Arizona summer heat. The casita with its beautiful Mexican tile work is a perfect showcase for the artwork, antiques and murals that Davidx2 have collected over their 41 years together. Even the bathroom sink is a designer collector's item! Davidx2 are gracious hosts and thoroughly enjoy canine visitors as well as human guests. We so appreciated having our puppy watched over and entertained when we were off to play golf. Also, we never lacked dining suggestions which we enjoyed for breakfast and lunch. However, for happy hour and dinner time we couldn't tear ourselves away from the peaceful patio overlooking the garden and the incomparable views of the semi private beach, the ocean's rolling waves, and the incredible sunsets. We have been to several VRBOs and Air B&B's in Mexico and Casa Martini will be the one we will be returning to now. Thank you both! Bonnie, Gary, and Abby August/Sept 2021
