VILLA PIANA - Four Bedroom Villa, Sleeps 9

Situated in a prominent position overlooking the Val d’Orcia, at approx 10 Kms from Pienza, this villa offers incredible views and is in a peaceful and natural setting. It’s within walking distance to Monticchiello, which is home to many shops and restaurants as well as a castle. You’ll be able to enjoy the countryside views during your day trips through Tuscany or with your friends and family by the private pool at this vacation rental. This villa is surrounded by a landscaped garden with plants, trees, and flowers. There is a covered terrace furnished with a table and chairs. The private swimming pool (6m x 10m) is surrounded by a sun deck and grass-landscaped lawn, both with sun loungers and umbrellas. Please be aware that the caretakers live in an annex that is connected to the villa but maintain complete privacy at all times. They have their own entrance, parking area, and garden and do not share the swimming pool. The property is gated and parking is available within the property grounds.
The house,  charmingly decorated with beautiful valued antique furniture , is on two levels. Ground floor: from different halls you get into the main sitting room with a large fire place and a bar corner. On the other side there is the fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower and washing machine. From the internal stair you climb to the first floor where you find a second living room with fire place, four double bedrooms, one bathroom with tub, one bathroom with shower and a small equipped landscaped terrace.

This was the 4th rental for our grand tour of Italy and easily our favorite. Time stands still at this 14th century villa and the view is nothing short of storybook. Riccardo, the property owner, met us for both check in and check out and explained the basics of the home. It is close to many sights, including local medieval towns of Montepulciano, Monticchiello, and Pienza. We also took a short drive to Bagni San Filippo to enjoy the local hot springs. The house and view of Val d'Orcia is just magical. Our kids enjoyed the pool and sunset over Pienza. There are several cats that roam the property and our kids had fun naming each of them. I was worried about the lack of A/C, but the ancient stone walls and fans keep the home quite comfortable and we also opened windows to enjoy the breeze. There are olive trees on the property and rosemary the size of bushes, along with the iconic cypress trees. I took an unbelievable amount of photos that i will cherish always. Thank you, Riccardo! Your home is unforgettable!

Stunning, authentic Italian villa
Spent a week in this stunning villa in an absolutely beautiful area of Tuscany - with views straight out of guidebooks - and couldn’t have wished for a more relaxing week. Monticchiello is ten minutes walk away and has some fabulous restaurants - with obligatory views. The villa was very well appointed - lots of room, well equipped, lovely pool, and beautifully furnished. I’d go back in a heartbeat!!
