The staff was very slow, unprofessional and not very helpful. I booked three nights and then had to change my reservation, they took 30 minutes to tell me I could not get a refund and had to pay for a new booking. The washroom smelled awful and made me gag every time I went in. This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had, I will never stay here again.

My stay at Royal Torarica Hotel was absolutely amazing. The area around the property was just perfect and had a lot of options to do anything you want to do. The staff, cleanliness, food and the interior design was excellent! Can’t wait to book my stay at Royal Torarica Hotel soon.

The building is beautiful, the rooms are clean. I just didn't like the shared door to another person's room. Someone actually tried to come into my room from their side. But the staff assessed the room, door and privacy and even spoke to the occupant in the other room. I was grateful for that.

We had a lovely stay at the Royal Torarica. The hotel is under renovation but we were able to use the amenities (pool, restaurant) at the adjacent Torarica resort. Easy walk to Fort Zeelandia and the Palm Garden. Nice staff, good breakfast. Would recommend.

Only in this stay, there was a lot of noise due to renovation at the ground level; very uncomfortable; but when ready, we will be able to enjoy a better hotel.

This is a beautiful property, the staff is very polite, friendly and helpful. However, the windows in the rooms do not open and it’s therefore impossible to air the rooms; it smells very musty and you can see on the walls that there’s a mold problem. Also, our room reeked of smoke and the drain the showers was clogged; thankfully we were able to change rooms the following day.

The experience at this hotel was the worst I’ve ever experience, being a world traveler I was very disappointed. The staff was not knowledgeable, the emergency situation which I had to deal with it was not up to standards, I did not receive any help when needed to go to the hospital. Hotel is over price and lacking Energy from the staff.

World-class, comfortable/very little to critique
International-standard hotel (including professional, well-trained staff) in maybe the best location in the city with beautiful colonial streets, restaurants, cafes, etc. nearby. I stayed in two different standard rooms and overall, they met my comfort standards on amenities like wi-fi, climate control, space/modernity of the bathroom, shower pressure/temperature and the bed. Any complaints I have are petty, like a slightly leaky shower in the 2nd room or not having anywhere to plug the hair dryer in the bathroom. Inexpensive shuttle for the airport provided. I chose it because the Marriott was fully booked, but I think I lucked out
