The hamlet of Montessino is located outside the village at the top of one of the lovely hills of Monferrato, surrounded by nature, fields and vineyards. Spend wellness and pleasure holidays in the large, recently renovated 2-room flat "All Ulivo", which is part of the former Montessino winegrower's house dating back to 1850 and is now a boutique B&B and resort. Our "adults only" formula guarantees peace and relaxation, even by the pool and the entire green area! The flat has a separate entrance and a private patio where you can have your breakfast, lunch, or dinner which you have prepared in the well-equipped kitchen. Of course, you are welcome to join the guests of Country House Montessino, for an Italian aperitif on the sunny terrace or at the pool of CHM where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets. The spacious green areas of Country House Montessino with magnificent views as well as the outdoor saltwater pool, sun loungers, parasols, whirlpool, yoga room and fitness room can be used free of charge and are shared with our few B&B guests. Sauna for a fee. Pool, whirlpool, and sauna are open seasonally. Soothing massages can be booked all year round.

Since 2014, this area is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the traditional wine-growing and infernot. Infernots are historic, old wine cellars, which were hewn by the then winegrowers directly in the rocks (Pietra Cantonale), the tuff rock similar. In Cella Monte lies the Ecomuseo della Pietra Cantonale, where two publicly accessible infernots can be visited.
Moncalvo (8 km), the smallest town in Italy, hosts the world-famous white truffle fair and a renowned dance festival every year. Vignale Monferrato (5 km) has hosted the Vignale Danza dance and theatre festival for over 40 years and Cella Monte hosts the annual Jazz Rebound Festival. The nearby towns of Casale Monferrato (capital of Monferrato), Asti (oldest Palio in Italy) and Alessandria invite you to visit museums and markets or simply to stroll and shop ;-). In Moncalvo (6 km), the smallest town in Italy, the world-famous truffle fair takes place annually. Vignale Monferrato (5 km) has hosted the prestigious dance festival Vignale Danza for 40 years. A variety of events and festivals with music, dance, art, gastronomic and oenological delicacies enrich the area throughout the year.
Feel the history and culture of Monferrato and let yourself be enchanted by the many castles and castles in the area, of which the Monferrat has the highest concentration of all of Italy.

In the nearby natural park is the sacred mountain "Sacro Monte di Crea", a pilgrimage site in a beautiful panoramic position. The lovely hills of the vineyards can be discovered by bike, on horseback, on foot or by car. Well signposted paths show you the way and inform about the condition and length of the paths. We are happy to arrange e-bikes for rent, or take part in guided Nordic walking or hiking tours.
Several golf courses are within 30 km. Even an observatory is located nearby.
