We loved our stay with this property for multiple reasons. Lake Huron is so stunning and peaceful. You're not far from town which has cute shops and restaurants. The home was super welcoming and the Mitten hosts are very kind and attentive. Huge shout out to Fundamental Cleaning for their fantastic cleanliness and customer service as well!!!

We had a wonderful time, and everything that we needed. The space was open concept which made it easy to enjoy ourselves together. But the bedroom spaces also offered privacy. We were. Delighted to connect with other people that were staying at the other cottages on the property. We will book there again I can’t wait till next summer

If you need a place for the weekend it's good, anything over that not so much. Very loud with all the cars passing by which is not the properties fault. We had a long stay during winter and place was cold we had to stuff a towel in the door to keep the warmth in.

This particular cabin on the property is right on US 23 which is a fairly busy road, not real loud at night for sleeping but if that sort of thing is an issue, something to consider. The cabin is not right on the beach, two houses in front of you. Definitely not a professionally remodeled property but nice enough for a business stay.

Cabin is nice and clean enough room for my family of 4. As other reviewers said there’s a few cabins on this property and this one sits by the road. It didn’t bother us any. A lot of cabins are like that on the oscoda beach. We enjoyed the property and my kids had a blast. I was able to contact manager very easily and all my questions answered. No complaints here.

We enjoyed our time in Oscoda, however, we were disappointed to discover the Garden Cottages’ “patio right on the beach” is actually behind 2 other rental properties. It would be fine during the warmer months because you can still swim, but when it’s colder and you’re coming for the view, it was definitely a letdown.

My kids and I had a nice, relaxing trip away just to get out of the house. The Garden Cottage was the perfect size for us, and the kitchen was well-appointed. Please note, there are no streaming service options and only basic cable, so bring your DVDs! I was unaware of that. I also thought the cottage was going to be right on the lake, but there were two others in front of the lake. Still a very nice opportunity to just relax, play games, and get away from the house. Thank you so much!!

Disappointed dropping crazy money for 2 nights stuck between US23 & a cottage that had the lake view. Cottage was dirty with dried food & crumbs on countertop, dog hair in couch & shower valve stuck on hot no adjustment. I'm 60 & have traveled for years & didn't expect anything fancy but this was one of the biggest dumps my wife & I have ever stayed at. If we didn't live 4hrs away I would have went home but kinda stuck. Price should be adjusted for filthy quarters

Visited the beach club with my family on a spur of the moment decision. The garden cottage was small but suitable for our needs. Although it wasnt directly on the beach it wasnt a problem the beach is so close it feels like it is. We did have a couple issues such as the sliding door to the bedroom being broken and not closing. Pet hair on the throw pillows and the bed being super uncomfortable but really, it was not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything youd need. We went and bought propane for the grill and used it to cook majority of our meals. The beach there is pretty much next to perfect. We didn't want to leave. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beach stay! Cant wait to return next year..

This place was nice walking in. The price of cabin was HIGH. Here are the reasons-
*Add says beach towels. 3 Beach towels for 4 people for 6 nights. Just no!
*3 rolls of TP for 6 nights for 4 people, NO.
*There was mouse poop in the cabinet with the pots and pans, just gross...clean it up.
*Carpet in bedrooms dirty, just nasty.
*Ended up finding a bed bug, reported it and they denied it.
Loved the location, not worth the money. Period!

I didn’t receive the access code so I was unable to enter my rental upon my arrival. Since I didn’t have any wi-fi, I called the management company, but had to leave a message. After not hearing from anyone within a reasonable amount of time, I called back, but my call was rejected. I ended up calling the police to contact the management company and that is how I finally got into the cottage hours later. The coffee pot had not been properly cleaned, and the handyman never showed up re the living room TV. Inspite of everything, I managed to enjoy my stay because the cottage was cute, the other renters were friendly, and the weather was good.

The cabin needs paint and cleaning. The TV in the bedroom did not work, the ceiling fan in the living area made knocking noises, had to use the plunger on the toilet every time we flushed, the refrigerator every time it turned on made a noise like you turned on a hair dryer, the fridge was rusty, the stove had some sort of fungus grown on the bottom metal panel and the list goes on and on. I had a 70 lb. German Shepard dog from the neighboring cabin attack me and my dog. The Shepard busted through the full-length screen door knocking it out of its frame and came after me and my 15-pound Bichon. When I called the property manager, she told me the dog next door was a service dog and there was nothing she could do about it. A service dog is well trained and is calm around people and other animals. This was not a service dog but a renter wanting to take their dog with them on vacation regardless of the requirement for a dog. I had to send in a picture of my dog plus inform you that the dog was under the 30 lb. and was non shedding. If my dog of me would have been hurt, you would be dealing with a lawsuit. I guess what upset us the most is the manager was more concerned about asking the renters about this dog rather than showing concerns that we were attacked. By law you no one has to inform you about their health issues, but you can insist that if a renter claims their dog is a service dog ask for credentials showing training the dog has completed for service.

Wonderful stay! Went with my daughter and her two sons, ages 4&9, and they had a blast. Garden cottage is located in the opening behind two cottages. Clear and easy access to the beach. I enjoyed my morning cup of coffee watching the sunrise over the lake on our patio.Cottage was well stocked with cooking utensils, dinnerware, bathroom linens including beach towels. Communications with the provider was only a text away and with a prompt response. For October in Michigan even the weather cooperated. FYI no iron or ironing board so we walked around happy and wrinkled. We will be back!!!
