"The Bridgeport was closed. They took my reservation a month ago and they weren’t even open. So this weekend as I was on my way there I got a phone call saying they were closed and moving my reservation to a comparable room across the street at the Baymont. It was a dump, no pool, no breakfast, no coffee, dirty, scetchy people hanging around and the same price as the nice hotel I booked. Other people at the convention I was at had a similar experience. "The best part was the excellent bed and overall cleanliness of the linens, room, and public areas. The check-in was slow, even though I'd already paid online weeks before and the staff was not very engaging. This property is apparently undergoing massive renovation, so much of it was closed off, including the pool. The entry portico was damaged and parts were laying about on the ground. Based on first appearances and check-in, I was unsure about staying there the full 3 nights we had reserved....
