After going over your feedback with the homeowner, we wanted to share the following: - We strive to be transparent with our guests at every stage of the booking process and do break down all rates and fees before the reservation is confirmed. - As is standard for vacation rentals, guests are asked to complete a few small tasks, like removing their own trash, as part of checkout. With the added time needed for the professional cleaners to sanitize and turn the house for the next guest, it is very helpful. - The house is 102 years old so a little creaking would not be surprising; however, the owners have never received any complaints about this in the past. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - We use professional photography so the features you see on the listing are as advertised, including the shower. - The listing also states that the home has a flat-screen Smart TV with Roku. We encourage guests to thoroughly review the listing before booking to ensure they find the perfect vacation home for their needs. - Additionally, the cleaner came to the property to help with the TV and find the remote, which was on the coffee table. The owners do all they can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests!

Hi Tom, we’re sorry to hear that this was not the right house for you. The owner has a few comments about your review: We definitely feel bad that you weren’t happy with my home and we want our guests to feel like they have a good value rental. - The prices are set by Evolve and they use an algorithm that takes into account the season, amenities, size, demand, prices in the area, and the location. This helps us stay competitive and also gives a good value compared to other similar properties. - The parking is off the street for two vehicles. We’re not sure what is unsafe about that. - Our grounds crew does maintenance weekly and the unusually rainy summer has made it grow faster. - The shower is average-sized and can accommodate one person. - The spare garbage bags are under the sink and we’re sorry that you missed them. - We didn’t realize the soup spoons were missing, so now we have replaced them. - We’re sorry that the departure instructions felt lengthy. Although it's not unheard of, the only thing we ask that is sometimes extra, is that renters strip the beds and pile linens. We are not onsite every trash day to pull it to the curb. We only ask that you not leave garbage all over the house, a refrigerator full of food, and dirty dishes. Thank you for traveling with us and best wishes in the future.
