Hickory Dickory Dock - Nashville Lakefront Family Retreat
Welcome to ‘Hickory Dickory Dock’ our Lakefront Family Retreat!
This stunning lake front home on Old Hickory Lake is just 30 minutes outside of Music City and recently underwent to 2022 renovation. Whether you are planning a relaxing or adventurous visit to Nashville, this home will play the perfect host for you, your family and your travel companions.
We are located in a small community area on a peaceful cove which is ideal for fishing, kayaking or paddle boarding while you stay with us. As you will see from our pictures, the home has not only wonderful entertainment areas on the inside, but a plethora of places to enjoy mother nature beyond the walls of the property too! Lounge around the upper deck utilizing the gas fire pit, share a meal together overlooking the lake prepared on the charcoal grill or step down below and play games such as giant connect 4, take a nap on the lazy hanging chaise long or make s’mores together around the large log fire pit in the back yard!
We please ask that you are considerate of the homes around us as we have loving neighbors who’s homes are their tranquility. Refrain from any loud music outside the home at all times and especially keep the noise down between 9pm & 9am.
We realize that lakefront offers a lovely place to relax and take in beautiful vistas, but also know that there is opportunity for adventure and activity too. For that purpose we are providing the use of several kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets and fishing rods. All guests MUST sign our waivers prior to arrival. A copy of this will be sent to you upon booking confirmation. This equipment is not only expensive but it is provided for the benefit of all the guests that use the property so taking good care of it is paramount. Absolutely no use of the water equipment is permitted while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
So let’s tell you more about the interior layout.
On the main floor we have a large living room with plenty of seating around a flat screen TV. It is open to a formal dining area, a spacious kitchen with bar, a games table area and a conveniently tucked away office desk should you have some work to follow up with while away from home. The views of the lake from all of these areas are wonderful thanks to the abundant glass windows and doors to the rear of the home.
Nestled off the kitchen is a large laundry and mudroom area, perfect for washing and drying your clothes from a day outside. Through the mudroom you’ll find our oversized 2 car garage that has been converted into a heated and cooled games room. Within this room you’ll find an additional sectional couch with mounted flat screen tv, a pool table, a ping pong table and even a putting area for the avid golfer! There are in fact several golf courses located close to this home.
In addition to these living areas on the main floor, there are also 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with the following bed arrangements:
Master bedroom suite - Kings bed. Additional roll away single bed located in the walk-in closet. Ensuite bathroom shower and double vanities. Flat screen TV (Sleeps up to 3)
Secondary bedroom - Queen bed. Flat screen TV (Sleeps up to 2) Additional bedroom - Queen bed. Flat screen TV (Sleeps up to 2)
Lastly there is a large basement area which features a living room with mounted flat screen TV and gas fireplace. There is a full bathroom on the basement level and a specious alcove bunk bed area that can be closed off from the living space with blackout curtains. Within this alcove we have 2 queen bunk beds with queen on top of queen layout. (Sleeps up to 8)
The basement has an additional attached garage that is where we store all of the lake equipment. Please make sure that the kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, fishing rods, paddles, oars and life jackets are all returned after each use.

My husband and I and another couple came to Nashville but wanted to stay away from the city. We were so pleased with the home. It had more than we utilized. We did fish from the dock with fishing poles provided. It was a perfect choice ..fous.us.us.Quieneighborhood.

Great stay, was able to do all the activities we wanted. Spider city outside. Probably due to being on the lake but outdoors it was an issue. Otherwise great stay.

Place was perfect for my whole family. It allowed us to enjoy a portion of the house while my grandchild was sleeping and we didn't disturb her.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was well stocked with basics and had a great amount of activities to do for all ages. We enjoyed the lake for fishing and boating while using the boat slip to dock our 2 wave runners. We played pool, ping pong and connect 4 in the evenings. Such a great time, we had no complaints. The only suggestion we have is a ladder off the dock so you can easily enter the lake to swim or float.

The house was very roomy and had everything you could want or need, especially if traveling with children. We had a reunion with friends with children. There was plenty of space for everyone, including a crib for our little ones. The kitchen is well stocked, grill has propane, fire pit has wood to use, even card games and puzzles for entertainment. Highly recommend

We enjoyed our stay, beautiful home & area. It was stocked with everything anyone would need for a relaxing getaway. The only issues we found were some of the rugs presented a hazard for slipping &/or tripping. We rolled one up under the bed because the door wouldn’t shut. The outside facing the lake could’ve used a good cleaning. These are only suggestions, we throughly enjoyed our time there & will recommend it to anyone going to Nashville.

The owners thought of everything for this stay. Things to do on rainy days or when the weather is nice. Beds are comfortable and accommodations made for all of you need to gather in a big space or retreat to solitude. Loved this house and location.

Excellent lake home with ample space for two families to enjoy a weeks stay. Kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed for cooking during our stay. Outdoor area was also well appointed with plenty of seating on both the upper and lower levels.
Kids absolutely loved the large game room with their own tv. We brought our boat and enjoyed all that Old Hickory lake has to offer. Home is conveniently located within minutes of Spencer Camp Creek boat launch .
Already planning our next visit and cannot wait to stay.

This place was awesome! There was plenty of space to move around! It was one of the best stocked homes I’ve ever stayed in. There’s so much to do and they are so kind to share their kayaks and lake gear! We stayed here for a team building event for our 17’s boys volleyball team and it was fantastic! 5 stars for the beds and pillows too! I even ordered the same pillows on my way home! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This home was phenomenal! The pictures do not do it justice. We had a group of 14 adults and teenagers and everyone had plenty of space. The hosts were extremely helpful and made communication a breeze! The property is stunning with so many extras! You could stay here for 2 weeks and not run out of things to keep you entertained. The kitchen was well equipped and the linens were of great quality. We will definitely try to stay here when in Nashville!

Our families thoroughly enjoyed staying at Hickory Dickory Dock! The layout of the home was perfect. The spot on the lake was beautiful. We enjoyed being outside in nature, kayaking, fishing, sitting around the campfire and making s’mores, etc! The house provided so much entertainment that even through the rain, we were all entertained. The ping pong and pool tables provided endless fun for all ages. You could play pool or ping pong and not worry about waking anyone who wanted to go to bed early! The kids enjoyed having their own hangout space downstairs. Also, the drive to Nashville and nearby attractions was easy.
They have thought of everything at Hickory Dickory Dock! Would definitely recommend and would rent again in a heartbeat!

There are so many little touches that really made our stay special! Excellent house/property. Beautiful kitchen and lots of room! It's an older house with renovations, decorated nicely and very clean inside. Easy touch blinds, blankets everywhere, tons of room, game room was a HIT, kitchen stocked (even plastic containers for left overs), extra trash bags & toilet paper provided, 4 laundry pods and dryer sheets provided, tons of outside toys in garage! We liked the padded game table in living room for games. There was body wash in each shower. The bed swing on lower level is cool. I spent each morning on the outside dock swing...and a deer walked right passed me one morning! Lots of deer everywhere! Close to Kroger and anything you need. My only complaint was the spider webs on everything outside. I suggested they take care of that before each guest comes. I recommend this property!

The house and lake is beautiful. The front of the house does not do it justice. All the pics are of the back of the house. The area is gorgeous. It's so nice to have the dock right in the back of the house and access to the kayaks and paddle boards. We went out every day. However the lake is really dirty and you probably shouldn't go in it so that was a bummer. Don't bother waving to any other people on the lake because they won't wave back. Apparently they are not happy about any renters. They must all have a secret pack and we were quiet and respectful. The neighbor has a sign facing the house that says something to the effect of "Imagine if you lived next to a rental property." The house had great amenities with the games and the fire pit which included access to firewood. It would've been helpful to have a more itemized list of what is available in the house such as the type of coffee maker, shampoo, body wash, firewood, etc so that we could prepare better. The owner was quick to respond and was able to help with all that we requested. I could've easily given five stars if the neighbors weren't so unfriendly and if we were able to float in the lake. I do highly recommend it and everyone loved it so much we talked about making this an annual trip. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and property!
