With two bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 baths this is a perfect getaway boasting a privately fenced yard, deck, and outdoor shower. With lots of natural light, big yard, and great neighborhood, this home provides both a peaceful getaway and prime access to both downtown Middletown and Newport. We had a nice vacation here and locale is close to downtown Newport snd beaches.

This home was so pretty and comfortable. It’s just on the Middletown/ Newport border which makes it easy to get to the beaches without a lot of driving/ traffic. I only wish we had more time to play in the yard.

The location of the property is excellent. Its in a very quiet residential neighborhood and is very private with a nice outdoor patio and yard. It is possible to walk to some neighboring businesses and restaurants and its very near some main roads to easily travel to Newport, Middletown, some hiking areas or the beaches. The house itself is modernized New England and charming. The stairs are quite steep and there should be a warning for those who might have a problem. We were there for 6 nights. Beds are comfortable. Nice to have laundry machines. There are 3 tvs but we didnt learn how to use them. We didnt do any cooking but the kitchen seemed to be well equipped. Window air conditioners kept us cool, though they're a bit loud. There are lots of things to do nearby.

THE GOOD-Pets are permitted (add'l fee). Fully fenced backyard. Decent location. THE BAD-repeated attempts to get check-in info which came an hour after check-in time. Mildew odor in house. Cushions for deck furniture stacked outside were saturated. Main bathroom-toilet on raised platform. Someone could take a misstep off the platform in the middle of the night. The shower curtain had brown glob attached to it-tub was dirty. The second toilet is in laundry/utility room-the seat looks mismatched to the bowl. There were misleading details regarding the number of bathrooms. VRBO site indicated 4 bathrooms while descriptive text indicated 1 1/2. The “second shower” was outside, completely unscreened. Unless you want to shower in a bathing suit, totally useless. Kitchen is basic but if want coffee in a mug you’ll have to take turns–there’s only one mug. Bedrooms were fairly uncomfortable-one pillow for each of the four of us. Other pillows were decorative. Large hole in bedroom wall, bad patch job. A/C in bedrooms no econ settings, ran constantly. Too few outlets. VRBO indicates amenities provided. In reality: · Shampoo, conditioner, soap–Nope (only soap was the hand soap) · Spa whirlpool–Nope · Iron/board–Nope. · Hair dryer-Nope · Beach chairs-where? · Exterior lighting-one dim backdoor light To sum up, we felt ripped off. Our vacation experience was dampened. For 3 expensive nights we expected and deserved more.
