Not the wow factor we had hoped for
This property is located in a great spot in Condessa, and is well laid out, spacious and comfortable. It looks gorgeous and 5* from the listing pictures, however, is not well maintained or cleaned. The floors were very dirty (slippers were black underneath after a few days), queen bedroom had tons of ants all over the floor and BED!! The listing says it is a smoke-free property, however as soon as you walk in you can smell it.
The bathrooms are quite tight and the faucet in the main bathroom is loose and the sink gets clogged. There is only one hair dryer which is fine, but it is locked into the wall so it cannot be moved to the other bathroom. The showers get clogged and could be better cleaned as well. The water gets hot and cold randomly, the . There is an awful sewage smell coming from the bathrooms if you leave the drain covers off, so you have to remember to cover them.
Knowing that we booked the place for 8 nights, they provide very minimal and basic supplies. Two large towels per bedroom (no other towels), one bar of soap, a tiny one-time use bottle of shampoo and conditioner, a couple of packets of coffee, whitener, sugar, tea, a couple of rolls of toilet paper, 1/4 roll of paper towel.
We asked for more towels and after a few follow-ups, we received them, but did not receive the toilet paper or paper towel.
Overall, it was an ok place to stay, not the wow factor we had hoped for, but we were conveniently located in Condessa and enjoyed our stay in Mexico City.
