Nice hotel
We had a lovely time in general at Seth Port Mahon. We had a Suite, which was nice and spacious. Our only issue was the air con did not work properly. We reported this every day, being told it would be fixed - but it was not. We were given a fan to go in our room as well, but aircon not working was not impressive. It would turn itself off completely after a few hours - so overnight the room became unbearable. Breakfast buffet had lots of options

The welcome at reception, to the very friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent. The convenient location to the town centre and the nearby shops and restaurants.

A bit outdated hotel, rooms are tiny but Great location, helpful friendly staff and very close to the Marina nightlife. Highly recommended!

Lovely hotel and room was great with really good air con. Really glad we booked a room that had a balcony. Bathroom needed updating but we found out the hotel is shutting in October for a refurb. At breakfast we had a good choice - only gripe would be juices from a carton other than the orange that was in a jug but it tasted like it had been watered down and wouldn't expect this from a 4 star hotel. Didn't eat there for dinner as it was buffet service and again would expect this from a 4 star hotel. Would definitely stay at the hotel again though. Fabulous restaurants at the harbour below the hotel and a 10 minute walk takes you to the heart of Mahon. Good bus service there too to various places around the island. We got a taxi to the beach at Cala en Porter which cost about 20 Euros then the bus back. Great beach with lovely sand so not walking on stones / rocks into the sea. you can hire sunbeds with an umbrella for 18 Euros for the day. Also a couple of places to get drinks and food on the edge of the beach.

Breakfast was disappointing- orange Juice out of carton etc. Finished at 10am very sharp during the weekdays- weekends longer- but we are on holidays!

Great holiday here
The hotel is in a fabulous location and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The bathroom had a bath as well as shower and the balcony overlooked the seafront. The walk into the centre was about 15 minutes.

Poor tv reception for English channels. Noisy when staff and guests moved furniture above and below the room at various times during night and day. Hot plates at breakfast buffet didnt keep food warm. Great suite with large terrace overlooking the harbour. Good housekeeping. Friendly staff.

The location and view of the port was beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The setting was quiet and peaceful. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the walk to the city center and shops is short. We really enjoyed our 10 day stay.

The reception staff were very helpful and professional at all times. My only negative comment would be the lack of jugs for cold milk for my tea - I had to use a cup ( very difficult to poor), otherwise the breakfast had such a variety of food it was hard to make a choice each morning. Excellent location for wandering into the port or town centre.

Didn't appreciate the loud Rap music being played at the bar and terrace having regard to the average age of the clientele this was inappropriate it was clearly music to please the young staff and not the guests !!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The front desk staff was very helpful. Breakfast had many choices available. Room comfortable and clean. Plenty of parking along the street in front of the hotel.

Very quiet location, and a wonderful view from our room. Easy to walk to nearby restaurants, there's a lift down the cliff if you don't want to go down the steps right outside. A lovely room with a most comfortable bed. Maintenance was exceptional, I mentioned a failed light and it was fixed immediately. Breakfast was very plentiful, but not exceptional.

Hotel is in a great position, a short walk to the centre and the port. Would certainly recommend, our only criticism would be that the breakfast dishes were not replenished very quickly and if you came to breakfast a little bit later - 9.30am some were not replenished

Good night sleep
Clean hotel, very friendly receptionist, slept well and did not hear any of the other guests or hotel noises. Husband said shower water was hot/cold/hot/cold but I didn't notice, plenty of soaps and necessities in the bathroom. Note safe needs a key, €15 deposit in cash only + daily rate (€1,50 for 1 night), which we were not told about at check-in and had to walk back down for. Hotel is near the waterfront; walk out the front door, turn right, turn left once you crossed the street and a lift (about 100 m to the right) will take you down to the seafront where there are many restaurants and cafes. If you want to go straight into town turn left out of the hotel and in about 15 mins gentle walking you are in the heart of Mahon. Taxi from airport to hotel was €13, return € 16 and took no more than 15 mins.
