Home away from home

We come every summer and stay at Honey's and Gil's. This is our favorite spot away from home. Very comfortable, welcoming, and beautiful.

Well appointed, comfortable, and cosy with scenic outlook.

Excellent. Loved the peaceful location, views up the canyon and early fall scenery. The cabin is well equipped, very clean and suitable for those seeking to enjoy the natural beauty of this lovely River valley.

Mountain Getaway

Our stay in this cabin was wonderful. There was a lot more room than we were expecting. It is well furnished and the decor fits perfectly for the mountain setting. We really appreciated the detailed fishing maps and access information that were posted in the living room.

We will be back!!

Honeys cabin is an opportunity to stay at your family’s place! We picked chockcherries, made syrup and had a wonderful time. The time spent there was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the decks. This spot is worth a few days!! Thanks

Exceeded our expectations!

Wow, what a spectacular cabin that exceeded our expectations! The cabin was much larger than I expected and just beautiful. I only wish we had booked it for more than three days. The kitchen is well stocked and organized and the beds were oh, so comfy. We also used the gas grill on the deck for our steaks, and they were grilled to perfection. Having a (nearly brand new washer and dryer) was also an added bonus, especially after fishing all day. The scenery surrounding the cabin is serene and the mountain spring flowing directly beside the property is very soothing. Thank you Lisa for your excellent communication and directions. To Anne and Jim, we thank you for opening up this beautiful home and hope to return next summer. Many thanks! KPD

Wonderful Stay o the Boulder River

This cabin and second small building (the "Cubby") was wonderful. Located on the main (middle) fork of the Boulder River in Montana, this property is exactly as advertised. Large to accommodate several people,, private bedrooms in doing so, and even a "guest cabin" called the Cubby with two plus bedrooms to allow for additional privacy for your guests. A few miles from a wonderful state part with ample hiking, and a nice hiking trail a short walk from the property, this cabin is ideally located for an active vacation. We also drove up the road ascending the Boulder River for several miles and had a pretty drive. The accommodations available at the cabin were nice - a very ample DVD collection, many books, and a very sufficient kitchen. We made scratch meals for all of our breakfasts and dinners and wanted for nothing in terms of kitchen implements, pots and pans, and baking needs. Also, this property is "pet friendly" and boy was it for us. Our two dogs loved the location, played in the small stream that runs through the property just outside the back door, and generally loved cavorting in the yard. It even has a large fenced dog run for the "two boys" when we wanted a nice dinner at Chico Hot Springs and decided to leave them at home. All in all a very relaxing and wonderful vacation for me and my family. Deeply appreciate you sharing your wonderful property with us.

Beautiful Boulder Valley

Comfort in the great outdoors. Eleven of us spent a quiet few days enjoying the Boulder River and multiple hikes to waterfalls and caves. The cabin had ample towels, fans, kitchen utensils and coffee! The kids enjoyed the foose ball and sleeping in the Cubby. Pack plenty of mosquito spray and itch cream. Check out the huge Boulder fields by Hells Canyon.

Great place to get away

Great place for a family getaway. Love the cabin and large porches. We grilled outside every day. Sounds from the small creek behind the house were amazing. We slept with the windows open every night. Many fishing spots up and down the dirt road so take time to explore. Home was stocked with everything we needed to cook. Just bring your food. We would definitely be back. Only issues was at check in. There is no cell service so the Hospitality app did not update with the key code. Fortunately the app showed the WiFi password so I connected to WiFi and got the key code. WiFi does go out during storms so this could have been a big issue. You have to drive 20 miles for cell service.

Nice cabin

Cabin was nice, location much more rural than expected but lovely none the less. Cleanliness of the cabin was sorely lacking especially the kitchen. I notified the management company during our stay to advise them of the lack of cleanliness.( Kitchen counters where dirty stove and microwave where sticky. Living area and bedrooms needed dusting)

Private, spacious, authentic cabin that has it all!

This cabin is AMAZING! Views, privacy, well- stocked and lots of room inside and out. We were looking for a place to experience nature and beauty of Montana and keeping our distance. This cabin was perfect as it was so well- equipped with every kitchen utensil and basic cooking starters ( oil, spices, flour, sugar, coffee, tea...). The attention to detail in the decor, seating and entertainment options blew me away. We enjoyed the decks, piano, games, hammock and the VIEWS during our week. The owner has thought of everything and the location was perfect for feeling separate and in nature with lots of hiking and sites to see.

Secluded retreat

The property is much more expansive than the photos suggest. Wonderful decor, oversized fireplace and phenomenal view off the deck. It’s a long haul to get there, but you simply can’t beat the feeling of exclusivity and privacy.

Beautiful mountain cabin in the woods!

This is a very peaceful cabin. They thought of everything! The perfect serene getaway. You could hang out in the beautiful cabin all day, play games, read, write, cook fabulous meals, lay in the hammock, curl up on the front porch. Or, you could hike miles through beautiful mountain country out your front door. Or, you could fly fish and swim in the Boulder River. It's great!
