"It was close to a good selection of restaurants and stores. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Area surrounding the hotel is a little "tired" looking and felt sketchy, but the hotel itself was nice and quiet."

The town of Mattoon itself looked very clean and well kept, very charming. The Walmart was the nicest, cleanest Walmart I have EVER seen. I would definitely go back to Mattoon, but that Super 8 needs burned to the ground!
