We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay. The view fThe kitchen was well-stocked with everything that we needed. The property was well-maintained and spotlessly clean. There is a world class Weber grille big enough to cook for a crowd. The wrap around

Charming and rustic cottage with beautiful views of Tomales Bay. Has a very nautical feel. Lots of great hiking trails and kayaking spots nearby, but also a great place to just relax, enjoy the beautiful views, and listen to the waves lap against the shore. I've stayed here a few times and can't wait to go back!

Very quaint and inviting! The views and layout provided a peaceful and restful stay. It provided all the amenities to make our stay affordable and comfortable. The suggestions and directions to visit local highlights was easy to review and quite convenient. Although if you chose to you could just stay in and enjoy the property all by itself.

Peaceful cottage directly on the water. The furnishings are basic, but comfortable. Well appointed kitchen. Very close to Tony's seafood with great cioppino, and a 12 minute drive to Route One Bakery. Nice sunsets, unless the fog rolls in :) .

Amazing location for kayaking and a quiet respite from suburban life. checking in was like coming home. But the best part is this place is gorgeous and well appointed in every way. Someone really cares about this home. We thoroughly enjoyed coffee on the deck watching rays swim below us. and quiet evenings with the warmth of a fire.

Great time just looking out at the water of Tomales Bay. Comfortable accommodations in a really beautiful spot. A short walk from the Marshall Store should be enough to sell this property to anyone. The place could benefit from some nicer chairs to take in the fantastic views. While the window seat is great, the two wicker chairs just don't cut it.

Overall a pretty good stay. On the water, but also right on the highway so there is a lot of street noise. Was expecting it to be more tranquil. Also, the listing for the studio states that there is washer/dryer and hot tub - neither of which were available for our use. Listing needs to be updated. Also kind of a weird layout. Way too many chairs for 2 people. But it was clean and cute and not bad for a short stay.

We booked after we read the great reviews. I must say they were accurate. From the view, the layout, the kitchen and bbq, everything was thoughtfully stocked and immediately comfortable. Spectacular view. Great recommendations from the host too. The most important of which is to show up your first night with everything you need for dinner and breakfast since there are no stores nearby and restaurants close at 4pm.
The only issue was the firewood was wet from the recent huge storms and being quite cold, we did have to purchase some dry firewood. The wood burner was needed as temps dipped down to 40 at night and the electric heaters weren't enough. Delightful place, we highly recommend it.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights on a recent weekend trip. At no fault of the property owners, our flight was delayed and we did not arrive at SFO until 1am. It is quite a far and challenging drive if you are tired and it’s the middle of the night. We did it, but would definitely recommend arriving closer to check-in time. It was worth the effort, as this home is lovely and quite charming. I enjoyed reading the reviews of guests from over the years who have spent many a romantic evening at Sea Mist. The home has great energy and I agree with other guests who have commented on the magic of this area. We were looking for a place to enjoy a few days in nature and it wasn’t a far drive for us to get to Point Reyes. (Highly Recommend). Unfortunately for us, the weather was cold and rainy most of the weekend and we did not get to enjoy the local Marshall area as much as we would have liked. The drive in to the city, Sausalito and Muir Woods were lengthy but very beautiful and we very much enjoyed the drive during the day. The grocery store in Point Reyes station was not too far and had everything we needed. The host was responsive when I shared some travel concerns prior to our arrival and they were very kind. I highly recommend Sea Mist Studio to any couples wanting to escape reality and spend some quality time together. We will have memories of our weekend at Sea Mist forever and are happy to be amongst the many travelers that have enjoyed the home over the years.

occasional street noise otherwise it’s super quiet and peaceful. Both my husband and I are light sleepers but we slept through the night jsut fine. There’s nothing like waking up to the sound of water splashing against shore and the sunlight. The kitchen is small but mighty - don’t expect to cook a thanksgiving meal here tho. Ventilation is limited so plan ahead. Plenty amazing restaurants nearby. Our favorite is Tony’s for their big and juicy grilled oysters. Can’t wait for our next trip back!

The Sea Mist Studio was peaceful, serene, healing, and just what we needed for a weekend getaway. This beautiful place had all the amenities you could ever need and felt so naturally like home. We launched our paddle boards from the convenient ramp and glided across the bay over blooms of jellyfish, sat on the deck with cups of hot tea and watched the stars twinkle (no light pollution - the Milky Way was stunning), and even shucked and grilled some local oysters. This studio is the most romantic spot on the bay and provides the perfect launching pad for any adventuring, hiking, dining, and wine touring. We absolutely cannot wait to return for another visit soon!

We absolutely loved the Sea Mist studio. It's cozy, charming, full of thoughtful touches and amenities and in a fantastic location. We loved listening to the water lapping up against the studio, sitting on the deck for morning coffee and returning to catch the moonlight over the water. It's such a peaceful, relaxing place. Aaron was very responsive and easy to communicate with and we look forward to returning!

I stayed here with my husband over the Fourth of July weekend and we had an amazing time. The studio is a great size for a couple; we did not feel crowded and the outdoor deck was also a big plus (we saw a bat ray swim by on our last day).
The studio was very clean and the kitchen was well appointed. The bed was comfortable.
