Perfect Cottage
Charming great little cottage fully equipped right down to a clothes line if you don’t wish to use the dryer, bbq and lovely back deck. Having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, etc all within 10 minutes. Excellent base to south shore destination- an hour to Halifax. Would book this one again in a heartbeat!

Must Have Vacation
My 2 sisters and my best girlfriend went there to celebrate my 70th birthday. Accommodation was great with beds for everyone as I myself could not make it up the stairs so slept on the couch downstairs. Plenty of bedding, towels, face cloths. Shower downstairs with a bathtub upstairs. Everything and anything you could possibly think of in amenities, name it they had it. Homey and comfortable with beautiful pictures on the wall, informative and relaxing. Definitely a place to return to. Thank you again Maureen and Barry. God Bless

Lovely Home in Mahone Bay
This is a lovely older 2 bedroom home in Mahone Bay, within walking distance of much of the town. Maureen is very nice and made sure everything was fine. We really enjoyed our stay. I would rent the house again.

Sweet!
Cherry Lane cottage is a very sweet, clean and comfortable place to stay. The kitchen is roomy, and the dining area is bright and airy. We enjoyed our evenings, watching a bit of television before bed. After a long day of exploring Nova Scotia it was nice to sit down and relax for a bit. The downstairs of the cottage was very nice and cool, but we did struggle with humidity and heat in the upstairs bedrooms. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot while we were there and it would have been more comfortable had the weather not been so hot and humid. Having said that, we found Cherry Lane cottage to be a lovely place to stay.

Home away from home!
Wonderful cottage w/great access to Mahone shops and bay. Staying in the cottage felt like staying in our own home. We particularly enjoyed having breakfast on the backyard deck.

Cute cottage, great location
Cute cottage in the lovely town of Mahone Bay. Easy walking distance to all the town amenities yet tucked away down a quiet lane. Cottage was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Owners were very responsive in communication and the check in process was simple.

wonderful spot
Maureen and Barry’s little house was perfect for us, a couple in our 60’s. Spacious for 2, clean as could be, exactly as advertised. We loved Mahone Bay and the fact that it’s attractions are a short walk from the house on Cherry Lane. We used the house as the starting point for days trips to Lunenburg, to Peggy’s Cove, Chester and Queensland Beach - and loved all of them. At night we used the Prime video account to watch some nice movies. We would highly recommend this lovely spot.

Beautiful little house
Perfect little house nestled in a beautiful location. Has everything you could possibly need. Great communication with owners. House was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Perfect location to be able to walk to Main Street in Mahone Bay . Would highly recommend staying there. Would definitely rent again if we ever come back. Thanks for a great stay!!

Lovely Mahone Bay Retreat!
Barry and Maureen were excellent hosts and attentive in every way. The cottage was well stocked and in a quiet neighbourhood as presented on their site. It was ideally located within walking distance to shops/restaurants and its many picturesque charms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Our only suggestion, as with many of the rentals we’ve stayed in is to be mindful of the growing number of people with sensitivities to cleaning products and laundry detergents containing harsh chemicals. A welcome change we’d love to see in all rentals would be the use of unscented, biodegradable green laundry and cleaning products. Washable covers on furniture would eliminate the use of sprays or chemicals to clean fabric sofas, etc.

Cherry lane was fine for our needs. Quiet neighborhood and easy stroll to village. The cottage needs some TLC. A good scrubbing and then painting both in and out. Both bathrooms especially need updating .

Great Stay For 2 Couples
The house is as described. Clean, comfortable, well appointed, and well located. Mahone Bay is beautiful place to visit and this home is the perfect place to explore from. Reservation process went very smoothly and host replied promptly and completely. The host checked in on us to see if there were any needs or anything they could assist with. Very congenial and helpful. "Thank you" We stayed as two couples. The two bathrooms were a big help. Amenities of laundry, dishwashing, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and cable TV were all frequently used without issue and very much appreciated. Some cooking was done and kitchen had all necessary items needed and in great condition. Beds and linens were of very good quality. Bathroom amenities were provided as well as a supply of personal items that might have been forgotten at home. The accommodation had a very homey feel inside and out with furniture, décor, and yard all well kept and tasteful. Top notch all the way. Would highly recommend staying here.

Delightful Cottage
Loved the cottage. Maureen and Barry could not have provided anything more to make our stay more enjoyable. Very clean, lots of nice fluffy towels, comfortable beds, good pillows and tea, coffee, sugar, etc. in the cupboards. The location was perfect as we could walk to restaurants, shops and to the waterfront in a matter of minutes. Great spot for a relaxing vacation.

Lovely cottage in great location
We stayed in Cherry lane cottage in June 2019 for 5 days. The cottage it self was delightful. It was clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable as were the chairs and couch in the living room. The kitchen was well equipped. It was also handy to have a washer and dryer available. The setting of the cottage is fabulous. The cottage is situated within a few minutes walk to nice coffee spots and other quaint shops and restaurants. It is on a quiet lane and traffic noise was minimal. I would certainly recommend this cottage to others and hope to return one day myself.

A real home from home
We really enjoyed our stay. The owners Maureen and Barry communicated well throughout the booking process and were there to meet us on our arrival. The house is spotlessly clean and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay so comfortable. The location within walking distance of all Mahone bay's many amenities was something we also enjoyed. Our Happy Place
This cute, cozy cottage comes with charming hospitality by the owners and perfect location! It set the tone for the entire vacation! The cottage is centrally located within walking distance of all you want to see. It was clean and stocked with everything you need...right down to flashlights and battery operated candles which we used one night when there was a 2 hour outage.Absolutely loved this place, highly recommend and can't wait to go back! Don't miss the Coconut Creme Pie at JoAnn's Deli or the Reuben at Lahave Bakery or the beer at Salt Box Brewery.....
