The manager was very helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the water. Very rusty. I made coffee with it not realizing how bad it was. Yuck.

We are so sorry for the water but it usually clears up in a minute or so. Also we have how ever much spring water in a dispenser in the office, you are always welcome to that. We will try to think of a better way to get you spring water. Thank you for alerting us to issue

Great time
Comfy beds, updated rooms—shower was large and relaxing- very clean. Loved having a fire pit and lawn chairs to use in the evening. The complementary coffee, hot cocoa and popcorn in the room were a wonderful addition. The convenience of parking directly outside your room was an added bonus.

Beautiful old retro motel but with the modern amenities that travelers have come to expect. Staying here was an exceptional trip into the past. It made me long for the good ole days. Absolutely loved this place!

This is a very clean and cute motel. The owners do a lot to please their customers. The lot is on the smaller side, so if there is more than one person there with a car trailer, it takes juggling around and good maneuvering around during your stay.

The Cardinal Inn is wonderful and serene. The rooms are updated and extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Easy walk to shopping, dining etc. We stay here every year and will be back. Thank you.

Everything was comfortable, quiet, and clean. Checking in and out was a breeze. The staff communicates so well! Plenty of linens and towels. We’ll definitely be staying here again when visiting Maggie Valley!

Best little motel
Amazing little motel! Every detail was thought of to make our stay nice. Very clean room, water, coffee, hot chocolate and popcorn included. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Special place to stay
Super clean and great attention to detail make this a special place to stay. There were TV trays in my room and a larger model compact refrigerator. Towels and linens very nice. Probably better for families and groups as people can congregate and talk loudly outside your window.

The customer service was great. The rooms were very clean. It would be nice to have a breakfast option on site, but there were several breakfast places nearby.

I liked the whole stay. Owners add a lot if personal touches. Popcorn, bottled water, hammocks, fire pits, rags for wiping down motorcycle. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed staying somewhere that felt more like home than a hotel.

The Cardinal Inn was awesome!! They make it an awesome experience when you stay with them. The room was very clean. It is located in a great spot where you can walk or drive to destinations. We will definitely recommend our family and friends to stay here and we ourselves will be back.

Only have a couple negitive comments. In room 9 I got stuck in the bathroom. The door would jam. In room 5 the walls were thin and the guys snoring keep my family member awake. Lol minor problems. Other than that it was great! Fantastic customer service and very clean.

Excellent service and a comfortable room!
We arrived around 9PM on a Thursday. Contactless check-in with very clear instructions sent through email. The room was prepared perfectly for us, with little touches of care, like free microwave popcorn, coffee, tea, and bottled waters. The printed notes oriented to the room well. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. There were some slight stains on the loveseat, but not too disconcerting. Very homey!
