We loved the beautiful wood building, the open breezy lobby and the riverside terrace. The wood room was lovely too. We would have liked to have comfortable chairs in the room balcony to spend some time reading, but other than that everything was perfect, plus they provided parking just across the street. Staff were all very accommodating.

Pleasant stay
The Teak house is a spectacular wooden house, as the name suggests. It is a clean, comfortable place to stay with all the facilities you need. Perfect for travelling in Mae Hong Son. My only suggestion for the hotel is to provide a kettle in the room so you can make a cup of coffee!

Another amazing stay! We stayed here last year for one night but unfortunately on last year's trip I got really ill so all I did was sleep. This time we stayed for two nights and was fighting fit. I adore this hotel, make sure you get a room high up overlooking the river. I loved walking around this area at night... Make sure you go for a roti for 10baht.

Great staff but zero soundproofing in rooms
The staff were very friendly which I really appreciated and the building itself as well as the surroundings is beautiful! However, the building Is made from wood so the noise from other guests travels and vibrates through the whole building. Even footsteps and doors closing can be heard and felt which makes a restful night quite challenging, even with earplugs in

Nice hotel with River view if your are lucky. Very welcoming and unique place to stay. Does have limited parking, so do make arrangements with hotel if needed. Hotel has a restaurant with river view, so there is no need to go out for food and drink if too lazy to. Staff was helpful and friendly. Had a great stay

No pool! Deceiving listing, the pool is in another hotel they have access rights to. Cute hotel but very noisy. Still, clean and super friendly staff make up for the simplicity of the hotel and facilities.

Few good hotels to choose from in Mae Sariang. Third time for me to stay at Riverside Hotel. Good location, and parking. Breakfast small but have fresh coffee. Balcony was dirty and one chair was broken which i found disappointing.

Great Fly Fishing Experience in Mae Sariang
Staying at the Teakhouse was great....The service was excellent and it's like staying in a turn of the century property with all the modern conveniences...Beautiful teak wood structure in a great location. Nick was a great guy who took me up the mountain for a chance to fly fish. Look forward to coming bck next year.

Good value stay. Ample parking. Hotel is an old teak wood house. Many rooms have balconies overlooking the river. Fantastic food in the restaurant especially the fish with sweet and sour sauce. The personnel are courteous and very helpful. This was the second time we stayed and will definitely go back again.

It feels like they do the minimal required. Nothing bad about the hotel or the service. There are not a lot of properties in Mae Sariang to chose from so my feeling is they know that, so don't try to improve on service, or furnishings in the room and on the balconies nor the outdoor restaurant furniture.

Lovely place. Lovely staff. Just make sure you don’t get the ground floor rooms where you are overlooked but restaurant. Need to keep curtains closed all the time. No view. No light. Rooms 10 and 11. Beware!!

Old, Noisy and So DIRTY
Room #23 - 1 x Night Stay Not a wide choice of Hotels to book around Mae Sariang - but we thought this was the best, whilst booking on Hotels.Com. We were disappointed with our choice - If you like cute, old heritage style wooden buildings - then this is for you.... BUT you DO NOT get any PRIVACY Every movement you make is heard throughout every floor of the hotel. The BATHROOM was disgustingly DIRTY - It clearly had not been cleaned for Months! Grimy Dust on every nook and crevice - Horrible. Breakfast was good apart from an initial lack of service and direction on how the breakfast system works. The Old Man who was on the night reception makes a TERRIFIC Cup of Coffee from the Freshly Ground Coffee machine - I enjoyed Four cups! There are TWO very good restaurants 100 Metres further along the road ( on the same side of the road ) where we enjoyed a Freshly caught Fish from their Inside Fish Pond and the whole snapper ( Tilapia ) was only 350 Baht - Great value - Both restaurants are on the Water Front. We would not Book and stay here again.

Good location close to the river and city center. Good internet, breakfast and friendly staff.Check in and out was fast and easy. I liked the free bicycle they provided for use. I used their restaurant for dinner and found the food good and a good value.

We stayed there on our Mae Hong Son loop trip. Nice little hotel, clean, nothing fancy but you have the attention of th staff. Helpful and welcoming. Enjoyed the quiet wake up and the view/balcony on the river. Peaceful.

Home away from Home
This is one of the coziest hotels we have stayed at. We felt right at home. The hotel is clean, located on a main street next to the river overlooking the mountains. The lobby, which extends to the terrace that overlooks the river and mountains, functions as a very pleasant living and dining space. Here you can have your breakfast or dinner, use the desk top, or just sit and relax and have a delicious latter. The staff is kind, very friendly and helpful. We planned to stay only two nights, but extended to five.

Nice teak hotel....
The entire hotel is made of wood and is situated just beside the river. Footwear has to be removed before stepping into the hotel. Rooms are not soundproof so we could hear our neighboring guests. There isn’t a kettle in the room and I went down to the reception to get some hot water in the night. Guest parking is opposite the hotel.

I was stuck riding in the cold with inadequate gear. The friendly owners (from Seattle) rode home and found a scarf for me to take with me. Great place to stay along the Mai Hong Son Loop. Comfortable and clean, with an espresso bar in the lobby.

The hotel is made of wood so we have to remove our footwear and walk barefooted. The staff is friendly and helpful. There isn’t a kettle in the room so I had to get hot water from the reception. The rooms are not soundproof so we could hear our neighbours.

Lovely hotel on the River!!
Great room with balcony overlooking the river. Love all the teak wood floors and walls throughout the hotel. Simple and comfortable for the price it's perfectly. you. An use the pool at their other hotel down the street. Sleepy town but the countryside is spectacular!! Rented a scooter from across the street and rode for hours through rice paddy fields and the surrounding mountains. People are warm and friendly. Mae Sariang is by far a better stop than Mae Hong Son and this hotel is perfect. And basic egg and toast breakfast included with some fruit. Would stay again.

Value value value and location - it's great
I like older wooden buildings and the more authentic Thai experience, so this was a good choice and we were very happy here. You can use the pool at the nearby sister resort, so this place has all you need. A very hard bed, but that is my choice, and simple amenities are what to expect. Has a good carpark too, so your hire car or bus will be off street overnight. Hotel has a good position and nice outlook, my partner is from there so I can vouch its close to many bars cafe's and restaurants. This whole quaint town is lovely and unspoilt, real Thais live here, not many farang but it's welcoming all around. A few bikers from the Mae Hon Son loop call thru too. And did I mention value? Everything is pretty much Thai price all over, except beer at bars have a farang price, but in reality when you are having a great Pad Thai (or other dishes) for 40 baht a dish I think you may forgive a 10-20 baht surplus on the beer bill! I will happily go back again to this hotel and Mae Sariang.

Helpful pleasant staff and handy location. It was pleasant dining on a veranda overlooking the river and with evening sunset. We had access to a new pool situated down the road at their more expensive resort which was a welcome relief on the hot days. We were happy with the room we had on the second floor. All rooms overlooked the river. Ther was no fridge or safe.
