We stopped here to break up our drive from Pokhara to Lumbini. It was reasonably cool except for late afternoon -- hey, it's summer time. No A/C but a table top fan is provided. It was our understanding breakfast was included but they insisted on charging us for breakfast -- be carefully and make sure you know what your are paying for.

Wij verbleven er voor 1 nacht op doorreis naar Lumbini. We kregen niet de kamer (met zicht op de stad) die we via Hotels.com geboekt hadden. De kamers met zicht op de stad en op de bergen waren blijkbaar bezet door twee aanwezige groepen. We moesten vrede nemen met een kamer op het gelijkvloers achter de receptie met zicht op de tuinmuur. Kamers en badkamer zijn basic. 's' Morgens was er geen warm water. Meerdere lampen waren defect. Gans het hotel gaf een ietwat verwaarloosde indruk. Mooi zicht op de bergen en de stad vanaf het dakterras. Prachtige zonsopgang. Hotel ligt op een heuvel aan de stadsrand zodat je bijna verplicht bent in het hotel te dineren. Het eten (a la carte) was OK. Om 8u bleef er door het vroegtijdig vertrek van de groepen niet veel meer over op het ontbijtbuffet en werd er niets meer aangevuld. Na wat aandringen werd er ons toch nog een eitje en wat kaas geserveerd. Personeel afgemeten vriendelijk en niet echt behulpzaam. Hoewel we konden aantonen dat het ontbijt in onze boeking inbegrepen was, wilde de manager ons toch de ontbijten aanrekenen. Na lange discussie werd de rekening dan toch geannuleerd. Conclusie : een te vermijden hotel hoewel ik vrees dat er in de omgeving geen alternatieven te vinden zijn.
