My family and I had a great stay at this home for a lovely weekend. Within walking distance to shops and restaurants. Lots of extra space and thoughtful “extras” available such as toiletries and seasonings. Would stay again and hope to be able to next year!
My family enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and convenient home that is walking distance to restaurants, shops and many attractions in Ludington. it is a casual and relaxing place with a lovely patio and cute sunroom and is well supplied throughout. There is so much to do and see in this area
The home was very quaint and cozy. Check in was a little confusing because there were 2 lockboxes at the door entrance, with one not working and had not been removed. Once that was figured out, there were no issues. We loved the screened in porch and spent most of our time when we were at the house there.
We were so thrilled to have found this great location in Ludington for our family! So close to everything in town and the beach, this charmer was convenient and a good fit for us. The home has had some renovations and so I would imagine updates are in progress. No air conditioning, but many fans provided to help beat the occasional hot day. We especially enjoyed the double rocker, screened in sunroom and outdoor patio! We hope to return and look forward to seeing how the property evolves over time. Thank you for hosting our stay!
I had a great time, so did my family too. Including the family dog Loved the place. Walking distance from downtown. Very clean and great amenities. Only wish They had air conditioning. When I went 80°+
Improvised, I went and bought four box fans. Open all the windows. Turn the ceiling fans on. A lot more comfortable. Definitely would stay again!!!
Quiet getaway just blocks from downtown Ludington.
We chose this home for our two-day visit to cap off a Michigan camping trip. The house was airy, charming, and in a quiet neighborhood. We walked over to downtown for meals but would have enjoyed using the kitchen (which had all the necessary equipment and utensils, not something we take for granted in a vacay rental). It was an easy walk to the city beach and the sunsets did not disappoint. Michael and Michele were very responsive with the few questions we had, and the guest instructions were clear and straightforward. Definitely hope to return for a longer stay sometime soon.
Group of 6 stayed over for July 4, which was two nights. Lovely place in a fantastic location by downtown. I have some picky people in our group, and everyone was happy with it. Hot tub was a hit. Reasonable walk to the beach. Home is well stocked with what we used, so toiletries, towels, and dishes/utensils. Didn't cook anything, so can't comment on that. Ceiling fans everywhere and some floor fans to help with no AC; the fans worked well. Host was a very good communicator. Would book again workout reservation.
The first evening we arrived we got locked out. The door unlocks from the inside, which we did before stepping out to enjoy the patio before calling it a night. When my friend and I went to go back inside, it was locked. Thankfully I had my cellphone with me and called the hostess. She had a friend come over and let us in. It all only took about 1.5 hrs and could have been worse.
The next day we both planned on sleeping in but got awakened at 8 or 9 by a young man knocking on the door who claimed he cares for the garden patio and asked if he could use the bathroom. It was very hot during our stay and there isn’t air conditioning so I wasn't prepared to answer the door in my summer nightie. When he left, he left the gate wide open and my dog got out and started wandering the streets, took 15 min of running barefoot (in my robe!) to find him and get back inside the yard. This was very unsettling and could have ended terribly but thankfully didn’t.
The next day Orkin showed up knocking at the door. I hadn’t checked my phone the night before but the host had messaged that they would be here. Again, the inside of the house with windows open all night was 80 and I was not planning on greeting anyone at the door. He ended up spraying the outside and after texting with the host she asked to allow him to come back later that day to get inside to spray the basement.
The next day awakened early again by the mowing company.
I did not enjoy my stay, was not able to relax.
