Our door was tried to be kicked in at 4 am by someone, front office was not available and cops had to be called in, I requested a full refund but the hotel denied it. I am charging back my credit card as the hotel was very bad, sheets had cigarettes burn holes in them and there was no one to communicate at the front desk.

It was affordable and clean. We just needed a place to sleep before catching the early Catalina Island ferry. Desk clerk was polite and hospitable when we arrived at 9pm. Bathroom was oddly huge, bedroom tiny. Even with blackout shades, the bright parking lot lights lit up the room all night. We got coffee and breakfast at Starbucks in Vons next door b/c they don’t have coffee or microwaves in the room, in case that matters for your stay. There are only 7 parking spaces for 11 rooms, so we had to park on the street, but our car was safe, not disturbed.

Someone clearly spent a lot of money renovating the property to make it look nice with a Mediterranean vibe. However, they have not taken care of it and the room soes not match the photos: scuffs amd scrapes on the white walls amd baseboards; door does not close properly so there is a breeze amd you can see day light; no security lock; thick calcium deposits on shower head; mildew in shower pan/wall corner grout; hair from revious guest; finger prints on tv; tv kept restartig, requiring from desk assistance because they have a special remote; thin see through sheets; and just over all disappointing. I would have called to switch hotels but there was a conferenceamd it was spring break so i was stuck with this option and because there was nothing better availa le per the expedia website. I chose to complain after my stay because i didnt want to make it awkward, but this place is 10 thumbs down will never reccommend.

Horrible parking. Very unsafe and unsecured property. The rooms are disgusting. Theres a lot of dirtiness, stains on the wall and not all the linen was cleaned properly. The uploaded photos do not match the actual rooms. It isn't a hotel or an Inn. It's just another motel that should drastically drop its prices. So much more wrong with it.

I'm giving two stars because the rooms are spacious, and felt clean. But this is an absolutely basic motel, without so much as a coffee maker in the room (that would be available for an extra charge). No ice machine. Lousy pillows. Very poor internet connectivity. Room looks onto the parking lot. And LOUD!!! Plus they charge an extra 20/hour for early check-in. There was a sign that said "Vacancy, Yes," so obviously my room was ready, and still they would have charged me extra for checking in at 2 p.m. I told them I'd rather spend $20 in a coffee shop, and come back at 3 p.m. Fortunately, I only had to spend one night there, if not, I would have left anyway the next morning.

The property itself was OK and it was located within a block of the beach. The room was oddly configured with the shower, which had a clear glass enclosure, in the main room, with only the toilet in a private enclosed space. Thus, there was no privacy for someone taking a shower.

A comfortable place in a great location
This is a low key place in a great location. Walkable to the beach and restaurants with a grocery store next door. Parking is limited but free. If on the street keep an eye on when street cleaning day is so you dont get a ticket. Clean and comfortable but not a-lot of extra amenities which is fine since so much to do in longbeach

The people in the neighborhood were so nice. But the hotel staff ask me about my towels and what they were dirty. The "clean" towels they gave me had stains. They knocked on the door even though I had a do not disturb sign and interrupted my meeting. No parking. Expensive cars or belongings are not protected on this property. They will keep your deposit always.

The staff ask me what the "red" is on my towels. They took a 100 dollar bill of mine and wouldn't give it back till they inspected the room. Very rude and uncomfortable. Dirty floor, dirty walls, mold in shower. no parking. No privacy. They gave me a room that looks nothing like the pictures. Very stressful I will never go back and recommend noone else does.

Smelly Room
Check in was simple and easy. As we get to our room. It smelt like pee. Went to the bathroom and the bathroom light did not work at all. Brought both problem to the front desk. Did not take care of it at all. So we had to close the seat to the toilet and close the actual door to the restroom to avoid the smell. We used our dirt towels to wipe around the restroom to reduce the smell.

While I had some reservations about the area, it was right at the beach, lots of local restaurants that were very good. The room itself was fit to the pics online, comfy bed and way better than expected. The hotel is close to the beach, has its own parking, and has, like I said, many restaurants around it. It doesn’t have a pool but if you need to cool off the ocean is 2 blocks away.

Simply Beautiful
We really loved the room. Its so cozy or simple yet beautifully setup. If they can consider to put a shady cover over glass door by the shower. What if, we are not couple and one of us is taking shower naked. Over all, we really like the place. We definitely coming back.
