Perfect Downtown Getaway!
This was a perfect home-base for a career conference at the Long Beach convention center, complete with secure garage parking! So many terrific restaurants within easy walking distance! Luis was extremely communicative and accomodating, and we couldn't have asked for things to go more smoothly!

The building is a Historic Landmark build 100 years ago. It is not flawless but it has some genuine character and charm. Bathroom took a little getting used to but the restaurant below had some live music over the weekend. A Vons is 2 blocks away and there are many convenient transportation options.

Fabulous on all points
This place is super cute. Perfect for what I was looking for. The place was clean and has everything you need plus a few extras. Convention Center, shopping and the LB aquarium are all in walking distance. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, really nicely located. There’s even a coffee shop and restaurant in the building which made it very convenient. The check in and out process was simple and clearly explained in the instructions. The host was very responsive and had great recommendations. It was truly a great experience.

The Vrbo site was down for two days before my check in date. Fortunately, Luis did an excellent job of guiding me through the process or I would have been helpless. Also, the kitchen sink was clogged. Luis was very responsive with a solution. His personal touch made a huge difference in what could have been a negative experience. I will be a repeat customer and I wish Luis continued success. Good job and thank you!

Perfect Choice in downtown Long Beach!
The apartment was perfect! Right in downtown and easy walking to everything cool in Long Beach! The secured parking that comes with the apartment is such a nice bonus! The apartment itself felt very safe and comfy. The little balcony was perfect for people watching and morning coffee. ❤️ It was very clean and the owners very responsive and helpful! The value for this stay was amazing! No where else in downtown will you find this! Such a gem! We will definitely be back on our next time to Long Beach!!

Excellent Stay
This is more than just a studio as it's nice sized with good sized bed, a nice couch, plenty of drawers to put clothes in, and pretty much a full kitchen. Laundry is in the basement and accepts credit cards (but not the detergent which accepts only coins). This is a nice historic building in Long Beach and is close to the convention center, many restaurants, and the beach. Parking is available with a parking structure that works with the building's owner and is pretty much easy. If I wasn't getting a second home in Long Beach, I'd strongly consider staying here again. The owner was also very communicative, helping me get through the lockbox and other logistics smoothly. The only snag during my stay was the dishwasher leaked soap but he offered to send someone that same day, but I advised him since I mostly ate out this trip to have it looked at more properly afterwards. Overall, good stay, good building, and definitely great unit.

I checked in but didn't stay in the property! It was impossible to use the very dirty mattress and bed sheets. The bed sheets were used, probable by a previous guest, and the mattress and its' protector were dirty and damage as well. Not to mention some strange absorbent papers that we found under the mattress protector. It was impossible to lay down in the bed under such terrible unsafe conditions. I didn’t stay in the property a single minute and immediately moved out to a near hotel. This was communicated immediately to the host with pictures, and the unit's keys were returned next day. The host Mrs. Luis Reina said I need to talk to you as she couldn’t do anything. The problem was also reported to Vrbo. Support Team on Nov 20th, via phone and e-mail (support_vrbo@vrbo.com) including pictures to demonstrate the problem. I want a refund!

Luis was a wonderful host, really appreciate everything he did for my wife and I. Leaving roses was a wonderful additional touch to the place. He checked in on us during our stay to make sure everything was to our liking. Made recommendations as to where to eat and didn’t disappoint. We stayed for an entire week at Luis place, upon arriving we left quick to go eat when we returned later the day we realized the floor was a bit dirty we notify Luis and he sent someone to clean up. Was really impressed on how quickly he took care of this. The place has a AC unit and small electronic firewood heater which is perfect for the space. AC really cooled down the place quickly when needed. Kitchen has utensils needed to cook if you wish to do so. We didn’t use any of it but it’s there if you need it. Filter pitcher in the refrigerator is a great additional perk if you don’t wish to buy water. Coffee machine is there also to make some coffee, which you can enjoy on the balcony early mornings. Best part you can head downstairs to the two coffee shops and just buy. One offers a larger menu for food and sandwiches which is great for a quick bite. The space is located really close to plenty of restaurants to chose from. There is also a place to go grocery shopping at, less than a 7-10 minute walk away. The sleeping arrangements could be a little better. The bed is in between a enclosed space so only way onto the bed is to climb in from the foot of the bed. Same way into the bed is the same way off the bed. Bed isn’t the worst bed, but the issue is the squeaky of the bed while getting on and off the bed. Upgrading the bed, bedding, and pillows would definitely increase the value of this place. When it comes to hospitality business white bedding and pillow cases is key to showcase the cleanliness of the place. Bathroom does it’s job, just very small for females to get ready. There were shampoo and conditioner supplied along with more than enough T.P. Can’t tell you how many time I stayed at places where we are staying over 5 days and half a roll is given. Overall we had a great stay and loved that we were 30 minutes to Hollywood and Disneyland location since those were some places we visited. Train station is very close by as well but we Uber everywhere instead. $35-45 to Disney depending what time you are leaving. Same price for Hollywood area. Thank you Luis for allowing us to stay.

Superb host, cute place - great experience.
Luis was a superb host with excellent communication skills. He was always quick to respond and proactive in checking in every few weeks if he hadn't heard from me. The place is very cute and comfortable with a balcony to view the ocean and historic dowtown Long Beach beautifully lit at night. The balcony is also great for people watching with the busy 555 East steakhouse directly across the street, Modica's Deli directly below (sometimes hosting live music in the warmer months) and the constant activity along Ocean Boulevard. I will seek out this rental again when staying in Long Beach.

Long Beach getaway
We went to Long Beach for a weekend getaway and to experience the Lobster festival..which I highly recommend. The apartment did not disappoint. It is an old building but with that came a lot of charm. The building was advertising a social BBQ on Sunday and even though we dont live there, they were very kind and invited us several times. I was concerned about the bed being to small but we actually slept pretty comfortably. The restroom is definitely not a girls best friend when it come to getting ready, but the apartment had plenty of mirrors to do your make up and hair. The balcony was wonderful, we sat out there both evening. The location was great. Lots to do. We were lucky that they had a street party/festival on our street with lots of live music and venders. The apartment is stocked up with everything you need. We were surprised to see they even had beach chairs and umbrella if we wanted to hangout on the beach. The owner Luis was very kind. There was a misunderstanding on checking in but Luis answered my call very quickly and was extremely helpful. He even checked in on us during our stay to see if everything was going well. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend and would recommend to anyone!

Excellent Location!
We very much enjoyed our stay at this Condo. It was perfect and what we needed post wedding festivities. The location was perfect. Walking distance to everything in Downtown Long Beach. I would highly recommend this place to any friend or family member as an alternate to a hotel. It is more cozy than a hotel room and you get a balcony that has a great view! We ate out every day we stayed here, but kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal and eat peacefully on the bistro set on the balcony. We will definitely stay here again when we need another vacation because the price cannot be beat! The building's charm was immediately transparent when we noticed the classic elevator dial indicator. Check in was a breeze! Luis was very communicative and checked in periodically. Parking is a covered garage 1 block away, so easy!! The building has 1 designated loading spot (painted white curb) that we used to loading and unloading luggage. I grew up in LA and am used to the one way streets, Long Beach is beautiful but can be a pain if you aren't used to a bustling downtown scene. Be patient and study your maps so you know exactly at what cross streets you need to be. The address is on Ocean Blvd, but the entrance is on the west side of the street on Linden Ave. Anyway, we loved our adventures in Long Beach this year and thank Luis for allowing us the opportunity to stay here. Sanctuary after Disneyland
This studio apartment was great for a two person getaway. It was very clean, homey, and comfortable. The host had some items that we could take to the beach, chairs, towels, and a umbrella. The beach was more of a 10 minute walk but still easily accessible. The host provides an AC unit which made the room whatever temp we wanted, especially cold, which was amazing after coming back from the hot sun! Checking in and out was easy to follow and the host made sure everything was going smoothly. Wifi was great. The parking garage is down the street so parking in front of the apartments at the meters to bring your stuff in and out is easier then we parked in the garage. There is a nice cafe right next to the entrance, great wine! The host provided hotel soap in the bathroom but if you are staying multiple nights , bring your own. The sink is small but big enough to wash your hands. The instructions to checking out were simple. Overall, great stay to be by the beach and be 30 minutes from Disneyland and 5 minutes away from Catilina Express Ferry Port.

Overall great stay
We were very pleased with the studio and found it very clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance to the convention center but did find it to be a bit of a Kong walk so wear your walking shoes! Luckily there are scooters and bikes to rent on every corner. We were worried that the Murphy bed would be uncomfortable but we actually slept very well and was larger than I expected! The kitchen was stocked with coffee, sugar, bottled water, as well as plates, mugs, wine glasses, etc. the building is older but it’s kept very clean and has a lot of character and charm! My only issue was a bit of a hiccup when checking out. When we checked in, I had issues accesses the key and the owner contacted me to help. The locked jams and is hard to open. The problems was quickly fixed and the owner checked in periodically during our stay to see if I needed anything. Check out was another story. Again, I could not open the lock to return the key. I texted the owner and sent a picture of the lock with the correct code and no response. I called the owner, and no response. I ended up leaving the key with the GM of the building who was very helpful as I had to catch a plane and couldn’t wait any longer. The owner has his read receipts on and I was able to see that he saw my texts, yet didn’t respond. I checked out 2 days ago and I’ve never heard back. After paying $612 , I would at least expect a response that he received my messages and the key made it back to him safely. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this location to anyone who will be in the Long Beach area!

The unit is very clean and modern....exactly like the pictures. Luis is very responsive and all my needs were taken care of. I attended a conference at the convention center and this was definitely a better option! Close walking distance to the center and there are many wonderful restaurants nearby.

Lovely, clean apartment, great location. I used this as a base as was attending an event at the Long Beach Convention Centre which is only a few minutes walk away so the location was excellent for me. Great communication from the owner, easy check in etc, plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Would definitely recommend!

My husband and I loved our stay at Luis' apartment. We had a little trouble getting in as we hadn't recieved all the check in information for some reason, but Luis was easy to get in touch with and was very quick to send through the information we needed to access the apartment. The apartment was very clean and modern and had everything we needed for our stay. The deck was great to sit out and enjoy the sunny weather with our morning coffee. The murphy bed was a little awkward getting in and out of as you had to crawl in from the base of the bed, but we were prepared for this after reading some of the other reviews. Luis' apartment was in a great location and very close to shops, restaurants, tourist sites and transit. Luis was great - very easy to get in touch with if we needed anything and he touched base with us during our stay to make sure everything was going well. We would definitely stay here again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the Formula Drift event and it was perfect! The location is great, the space itself is clean and pleasant, and the balcony is a fun plus! However, our check in process was a bit chaotic as we were given the wrong lock box code and couldn’t get ahold of the property manager for a while. So we were sitting in the building lobby waiting until he was able to help us get in. Also, the bathroom door does not shut! So this may be a problem for some people. All in all we had a great time and would rent again.

Overall great experience. Location was perfect: close to beach, close to downtown shopping, coffee shops and restaurants. Our condo was very clean and well-furnished. The only (minor) drawback was the bed. With a wall right up next to both sides of the bed, it was difficult to get in and out of bed during the night without disturbing the other person. (Had to climb out of the bottom of the bed) Bed frame also squeaked quite a bit. Would definitely stay here again if and when we have the need. The proprietor kept in touch with us and was always available to1 answer questions and help us out if needed. Thanks for a great stay

My stay at Luis’s place was enjoyable and easy. It was a pleasure to stay in an historic building and the location couldn’t have been better with respect to the purpose of my visit. I found the neighbors to be nice and the cafe downstairs to have good service and food. The access instructions include a few steps so read them ahead of time and best done with at least a little daylight.

Nice little spot in downtown LBC
My wife and I had the opportunity to stay at this very nice Condo in the LBC. Pros: Luis was a great host. Luis answered all my questions with attentiveness and kindness. Luis also checked to make sure we checked in ok and confirmed if we needed anything. On our last day, Luis even sent me a good morning email hoping everything went ok and to give check out instructions, taking the guessing game out of it. We picked the condo versus the standard hotel room because we believed we would get more for our money and a better experience. We were spot on! As soon as we opened the door we were greeted with the very modern décor of the studio. Luis has a wonderful set up for the kitchen area. The cabinets are a dark wood contrasted nicely with stainless steel appliances and white speckled countertops. Even though we did not use it, the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes for eating and drinking, and spices for cooking. We were pleasantly surprised by the two ice cold water bottles in the fridge waiting for us. My favorite part of the condo by far was the balcony. Upon opening accessing the balcony, we were greeted by the sights and sounds of downtown Long Beach. Since my wife and I both love the competitive sport of people watching, this was great! The balcony not only provides great sights and sounds of downtown Long Beach, but it also provides a partial ocean view. Most of my time in the condo was spent on the balcony enjoying the weather, enjoying the sights, and the sounds. The condo was central to everything. Restaurants, Vonn’s grocery store was nearby, the beach a few blocks away, a fresh juice bar 2-blocks away; everything you could think of is within reasonable distance. If you don’t want to walk, you can rent motorized scooters right outside the building. Con: The only real con for me was the bed. It was of adequate size but was not comfortable in my opinion. It could be due to the type of bed it is that looked like it could be folded up if necessary. Because of such, the bed is stiff and thin, and both my wife and I toss and turned and found it uncomfortable. Perhaps the purchase of a comfort top for the bed to add an additional layer and ensure extra comfort. We enjoyed our stay at the condo and would do it again. As a matter of fact, we were talking about coming back soon, without the hassles of going to a wedding and just enjoying our time together in the cozy condo in the heart of the LBC. Thanks again Luis!

I really enjoyed my stay at the condo and I would definitely stay there again. It is very secure and located close to the convention center. It's a studio, so the bed is an old murphy bed and you have to climb up from the foot of the bed, but I slept very comfortably, and I'm not usually able to do that when I travel. The bathroom sink is very tiny and a little difficult to wash your face without splashing water all over the place. Other than those two things, which weren't really a big deal, it was a great place. Very clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. The location is awesome. Getting to and from the parking garage was very easy.

Small but great location
The positives: great location - walking distance to downtown and other great locations. The owner is very responsive and readily available for any items that may come up. Good coffee shop at the entrance to the building and the parking was easy and very close. The negatives: Very small studio - very small bed I think it was a full size or queen- if both people are in the 150-175lb range both can fit other than that ones taking the couch lol. The room gets warm but there is multiple fans and a A/C unit. It does get loud at night due to the location. All in it’s a good location at a fair price and a good owner.

Luis was responsive and solution oriented commingled with a large dose of kindness and hospitality from the first inquiry all the way until I left. The location was convenient to the convention center and it had everything you need close by. From good food to a grocery store within blocks. View of the water from the balcony made this well decorated comfortable property a gem. I recommend it for a close staycation for even locals. Luis was always quick to give good advice and recommendations as well as respond with a warm answer. The cold bottled water was a great discovery when I arrived to just relax after coming into to LAX. There is a really convenient shuttle only a few blocks away that goes direct to LAX for only $9 each way. I would stay here again in a heart beat.

My husband and I loved this place. Loved the “Paris” theme. Nice and clean room. Loved the beach chairs and beach umbrella. We were able to spend as long as we wanted on the beach. Very modern. Grocery store, restaurants and the aquarium all in walking distance. Really didn’t need a car rental. Take Taxi or Uber from Long Beach airport. Great Beach weekend getaway. Thank you, Luis.
