The front desk staff were great. They also have a cute dog treat bag. The property is undergoing renovations. The room we were in was clean, but dated. The pool area was gross. I went first thing in the morning and could not go in. It was dirty (hair, scum). The roof was leaking with mold around it. I took a picture to show my partner, and a staff member followed me. After somewhat aggressively asked me why I was taking a picture they explained that the pool would soon be closed for renovation, and this should have been communicated to me (it wasn't). We had breakfast from the restaurant. The quality was on par with the price, which was reasonable.

The property is very old and unkept. It is a total waste of money. No hot water at all at the bathroom. I and my children used very cold water to bath.

The staff was especially welcoming. Every staff member we encountered was well spoken and polite. They receive a 5-star rating in my opinion.. I specifically picked Holiday Inn Suites because I had previously stayed in a Holiday Inn Express in Kingston about 5-6 weeks ago and it was a beautiful hotel. In the photos advertising this hotel in London, it looked similar to its sister hotel in Kingston. Newer, cleaner and crisp. This was not the case. This is an older hotel going through renovations. I was given a room on the newly renovated floor. The door to the room kept sticking, as if the key pad and lock were not aligned properly when trying to open the door. The bathroom door handle was not properly installed. I let the front desk and maintenance know my concern as I did not want to be held accountable if the door handle suddenly broke off. Maintenance was called to come take a look. I was told that fixing the door handle would have to wait as it would take about an hour to take off the handle and put it back together on the door properly. The door frame had paint chipping off of it, as if it needed to be painted. The pool was dirty. I did not dunk more than my feet in it. The water was greenish in colour. There were things floating in it. The next day, the pool was out of order as it needed to be cleaned and chemicals be added. I specifically made sure the hotel I picked had a pool and we could not utilize it. I am still very disappointed about this.
