The staff was nice and it was an easy check in. Once you walk into the front door the place has a bad smell of cigarette smoke and sometimes fishy. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke and so did our room even though it was a non smoking room. The room was clean and didn’t have any stains.

I would not recommend this hotel for a weekend stay as there is lots of loitering. The outside doors were secure at all times, however, they would not always open and you would have to go back to the office. I did not feel safe there.

This place needs to be observed by a higher department. I’ve never experienced such a bad stay at any place. I suggest this place gets a revaluation on being open to the pubic. The level of cleaning and preparation for customers was absolutely disturbing.

Do not stay here. As I arrived to check in, the person at the counter answered her personal cell phone and kept me waiting. The "lobby" is more like a vestibule. It is very small and her kids were running around the customers. Waiting for the elevator, I noticed the walls were dirty and stained, inside the elevator as well. Upon arriving to my room, I noticed the sheets were dirty. I booked another hotel and checked out of this one. I was told I would get a refund in 7-10 business days. That came and went. I followed up several times and got the run around. I finally had to call the 800 number to get my refund.

Like: residence are nice. Dislike: bugs, crushed bugs, dirt. They do not clean your room. They do not remove trash. They clean once every 2 weeks. Water is never hot (cold showers) Room smells like weed. Cost you extra for clean towels and linen. Cost the same as a regular hotel but without regular hotel goodness(?)

I showed up to check in and was met with a hand drawn sign that stated “Sold Out”. Thinking that I had a reservation and all I had to do was check in, I was sorely wrong. I called the front desk phone as there was no one at the front desk and was told that there was no vacancies. I stated that I was already reserved and just needed to check. I was told tough luck and I literally told “you can yell or scream about this, it makes no difference”. So I walked away with no room. Come to find out I was charged after being told that I wouldn’t be charged. I called hotel.com customer service where I was told that I wouldn’t be charged and the representative told me that they were indeed rude. Confirming my entire experience.

This property was overbooked and after we paid in full and we’re forced at midnight to find other accommodations now we are being refused a refund! Hello Lance, Thank you for contacting Expedia. We apologize for the inconvenience that you have experienced. We have contacted Extended Stay America Select Suites - Las Cruces to see if they could make an exception and grant a refund. Unfortunately, after multiple tries, we weren't able to obtain an approval from the property manager to waive the cancellation fee. This means the current rules and restrictions for your booking apply and a refund can't be granted. We're really sorry about this; we always try to contact suppliers and advocate for our travelers in these situations. Properties often have strict policies around refunds, and there's nothing more we can do in this case. Again, we're sorry that a refund wasn't possible. Worst Hotel Ever
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Place was dirty, cockroaches in both rooms I purchased, dirty towels and dirty bedding. To top it off, no working TV. I would never recommend anyone to stay there and if I was a part of Hotels.com, take it off your inventory.

Awful hotel
My stay was awful, very loud people screaming and yelling. Staff seems not present AT ALL and would not help. A lot of homeless hanging around the parking lot, building fires. Not an ideal stay for the price I paid. Motel 6 would have been better.

This is NOT a hotel! It’s an apartment building! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Let’s start at check-in. We arrived very late, at 2:08 a.m., only to find they stopped checking people in at 2:00 a.m. so they cancelled our room! Having no options, I had to pay the hotel for the same room I already paid for through Expedia! Then we get in our room and being dead tired, pulled the covers back to find hairs, lots of them, in our “clean” sheets! The next morning I got up to shower and found no wash clothes and only 2 towels! No soap to wash my hands, no shampoo or body soap, nothing. I went down to the front desk to ask for 4 wash clothes and 2 extra towels (it was my wife and I and 2 boys in the room), and was told the “company policy” was only 2 wash clothes per room!! I said, but sir there’s 4 of us in the room. He said, “ it’s policy” and proceed to give me two wash cloths!! The “hotel” had no iron or ironing board. No blow dryer. NOTHING! No amenities at all! Do yourself a favor, spend the extra $25 and stay at a hotel, not this apartment building. BTW, I talked to a tenant who had been living there for 7 years!! Sounds like an apartment and not a hotel.
