Very atmospheric but needs investment
Stayed for 5 nights with our 7 year old. Lovely old building, setting and views. Obvious that the business is struggling as the hotel is a bit tired. There clearly was a gym which is now derelict. Changing rooms, pool and jacuzzi were probably top of the range 15 years ago and are now wasting away.

Great base to enjoy the golf and surrounding areas
Nice castle/mansion on a good location to relax, play golf, enjoy the spa and a perfect base to go enjoy the mountain roads around the gorge du verdon.

Very relaxing hotel!
We stayed here for 4 nights in a family room. The chateau is in a beautiful location, surrounded by mountains and greenery. We were undertaking activities on the Verdon (Ride the Verdon activity group we used and were Fantastic!) and it is a perfect spot just 30 mins away. Breakfast is lovely in a beautiful room overlooking the golf course and mountains. We ate in the evening once on the fixed menu of €50 each and the meal was Mitchellen star quality! Pool indoors which is such a pity! and spa area amazing! Pool table and board games freely available which is a nice addition. Lovely terrace to sun bathe Improvements: hotel needs a gym and air conditioning! Pool area needs daily cleaning

Property and it's setting were stunning. Golf course very scenic and excellent condition. Only real negative was the internet wasn't working.

Beautiful golf course high in the mountains
The hotel is on a golf course which is beatiful to look at not being a golfer I don’t now how it plays. Breakfast on the terrace in the morning was beatiful. The pool was lovely. We had a lovely time and will return for another visit.

Stunning setting, but let down by restaurant
The grounds and exterior of this hotel are magnificent, with a lush golf course and forested areas surrounding a converted chateau. However, the interior lets it down. Our room was quite nice- very spacious, quite sparsely furnished, but comfortable enough and the bathroom was a good size. The hotel advertises an evening turn-down service on hotels.com but we never once had this over three nights, so never had the one bottle of water next to our bed replaced. The lift was also broken, which was not a big issue for us, but elderly guests might not like walking up to the second floor every time they return to their room. The part that really lets the hotel down is its restaurant which is located in the Golf Club House, which looks very dated in its fittings and furniture. The food is not terrible, but, for the price, compares unfavourably to most other restaurants we ate in during our trip. Both the service and food quality were up and down over the three nights we were there, but the hotel is too far from any other restaurants or towns for one to comfortably go elsewhere. The huge plus of the hotel is its location - beautiful views, tranquil setting, right in the heart of a regional park. This makes up for any mild discomforts and there really doesn't seem to be anything better around.

Nice resort in the middle of no where
Very beautiful resort with golf course nice staff very good restaurant but is not easy to locate it because there is no address only area and the gps is not helpful.

Great hotel. Spacious rooms.
I stayed at this hotel recently as part of a stop along the N85 after Castellane. Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Please do not follow the navigator or google maps. Just drive along N85 and the entrance is there. Google maps and any navigator will take you to the opposite side and you will be sorry. Otherwise a splendid hotel. Shame I didn't have any time for a game of golf there.

I was disappointed by the small room .The room must have been for a servant in the manor. Room should be retired. The surroundings are lovely. The food was excellent. The indoor pool was clean but nothing special.Unless you love golf pass it by.

Un endroit magnifique mais drs ameliorations possibles
Un tres bel endroit avec un golf magnifique, un rai havre de paix. Cependant nous vous deconseillons la chambre standard (chambre handicapee? tres sombre et toute petite). Nous avons du prendre la chambre classique avec un surcout. La restauration italienne moyenne, et peu varié pour un sejour long. Dommage qu'elle ne soit pas au niveau de l'hotel. Le spa , la piscine un peu viellot mais tres agreable.

Séjour pour amoureux delà nature et du silence
Une chambre pas au standing attendu. Une porte de salle de bain avec un gond défait, un miroir de sdb sans lumière, pas de climatisation dans la chambre et un service au petit déjeuner un peu particulier (avec cetaine grossièreté) .... Dommage. Sinon le site est extraordinaire mais comme on ne joue pas au golf....

Lieu exceptionnel. Le golf est sans doute un des plus beau d'Europe. l'entretien est quasi parfait. Très bonne table le soir, le menu est renouvelé tous les jours. Petit bémol, les chambres ont besoin d'une rénovation

Emplacement, propreté et la beauté des lieux sont très satisfaisant. Il est regrettable en revanche qu’il n’y ai pas de service à l’accueil, et au départ : comme proposer de prendre et monter les bagages à la chambre. Qu’il n’y ai pas plus d’accompagnement une fois la porte de la chambre ouverte pour nous expliquer les 2/3 services mis à disposition et le fonctionnement des appareils.

Bonjour Madame, Monsieur, Nous vous remercions pour votre commentaire. Nous n'avons effectivement pas de service de bagagistes, ceci n'étant pas un critère obligatoire pour un hôtel 4 étoiles, c'est la raison pour laquelle vos bagages n'ont pas été pris en charge. Lorsque nous accompagnons les clients à leur chambre nous avons remarqué que la majorité ne souhaite pas d'explications, juste prendre possession de la chambre afin de se reposer, c'est pourquoi nous nous faisons les plus discrets et rapides possible à l'arrivée. Toutefois vous avez parfaitement raison, le réceptionniste aurait dû vous demander si vous souhaitiez quelques explications sur votre chambre, nous veillerons à ce que cela soit fait à l'avenir.

Avoir un bel établissement et un 4 étoiles n'est pas une fin en soi. La qualité du service rendu n'est pas à la hauteur du tout. J'ai rarement vu si peu d intérêt des clients et autant de manque de professionnalisme. Nous nous sommes sauvés de ce lieu inhumain et desertique. Si vous n'êtes pas golfeurs à fuir pour éviter la déprime. Sans parlez du tarif indécent de la carte du restaurant qui n'est pas à la hauteur de la quantité et qualité des assiettes. Nous n'en revenons toujours pas. C'est le pire 4 étoiles que j'ai connu et nous partons un we sur 2... J'ai jeté mon argent par la fenêtre.

Nous écoutons toujours avec beaucoup d'attention les critiques constructives de nos clients afin de nous améliorer, mais s'il y a bien un critère où nous ne sommes jamais remis en question (voir tous les autres commentaires) c'est notre sens de l'accueil, notre intérêt et notre implication pour nos clients. Il est vrai que le Domaine est vaste, 340 hectares pour 100 clients maximum à l'hôtel, on peut avoir la sensation de ne croiser personne, mais c'est aussi ce que nos clients recherchent. Vous n'avez émis aucune plainte durant votre séjour, ou au moment de votre check out? et pour preuve de notre sens de "l'humanité": nous vous avons surclassés à votre arrivée (sans raison, juste pour vous être agréables), et ne vous avons pas facturé la 2° nuit réservée quand vous avez décidé de partir plus tôt (alors que cela fait partie des conditions générales de vente). Soyez assurée que nous accordons toujours une attention toute particulière au confort et à la satisfaction de nos clients. En espérant sincèrement vous accueillir à nouveau, afin de vous faire oublier cette mauvaise expérience, nous vous souhaitons une excellente journée.
