Absolutely a disgrace and the customer service was even worse. Manager abusive DO NOT stay here. Felt very sorry for the staff working there. Rooms were not as advertised nothing as it was listed.

The staff is incredibly friendly. They organized a Diwali dinner for guests which was so beautiful. There are a lot of activities organized by the hostel so it’s a great way to meet fellow travelers. The hostel is beautiful. There is a kitchen if you want to cook and a working space. The terrace turns into a bar at night. The location is great, central. You can walk to most of the tourist attractions or take a Grab for very little money. The staff is always happy to help you with your travels. I couldn’t recommend this hostel enough. I’m in KL often and I always stay there. It was my 6th time now.

It was very convenient and having stayed here previously, I was impressed by the cleanliness of the space as well as the value for money. Walls are quite thin so you can expect to hear the next door neighbour speaking and the constant slamming of doors. Triple room is located beside reception so expect some noise. You can hear the water running at the showers at the rear end of the building. Ear plugs are however provided.

Water was not hot enough for me. But the weather was hot so it would be ok if people like cold shower in hot weather. Overall good hostel because the location and cafe.

Great location, friendly staff, shabby chic decor and a nice friendly atmosphere but very noisy (from both within and outside the hostel.) Maybe not a place for the more mature traveller !?

Booked a family room for myself and two kids. Arrived to find was only two single beds jammed into small loft space (which wasn’t really a loft just tight but space couldn’t even stand in room and I’m very short)... was also told kids don’t usually stay and weren’t allowed at rooftop/bar area even with myself at anytime & was fully booked so couldn’t change rooms. Sadly next day booked and paid another hotel. Then was told only refund through Wotif and staff were lovely trying help except manager who was rude and made fun of us in Malay not realising I speak fluent Indonesian as Australian plus he refused to refund and became even more scarastic once realised I had understood all he spoken about. Not very nice ending. Location fantastic for Chinatown etc and cafes downstairs some best had there. Single travellers recommend but area not the safest. The rest staff were very lovely.. so mixed emotions but can’t say overall I’d recommend it at all

Aawesome hostel.
I loved the hostel. Not a very social one. No daily activities. I bunked with Laura who works there and she's a delight. Very central to Pasar Seni station. Right in the heart of Chinatown. I didn't like how unsafe the street was for a solo female traveller. For that reason, I would be extra careful and take a Grab car (like Uber) whenever you need to.

Stayed for 2 nights. Had a breeze through check in and check out. Rooms were clean and comfy; I thought the breakfast was good enough compared to some places. Not ideal for older people though - it can get quite noisy sometimes due to loading and unloading commotions outside. Would definitely be back.

The place was nice overall, breakfast was basic but enough to start the day. There wasn’t much interaction with other guests but they had good food tours at night which we went on and met a few travelers. The bed in our room (16) was awful and our backs got destroyed by it. The location was good in Chinatown and lots of good food around. Close to lots of transit options so easy to get around KL

Was a great place to stay. Beds offered privacy curtains which also meant you didn't get woken up by the light being turned on. Breakfast was great too.

Hit and miss
We stayed here two nights and had two very different experiences. One the first night we were checked in by a very friendly guy into a clean loft room #15 with a sink and desk below the bed, and air conditioning above. The bed was clean and room adequate ALTHOUGH VERY noisy. The walls were very thin and not connected at the roof. Due to an error we made when booking we had to switch rooms the second night. The female staff member was very rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. The second room #36 was tiny and dirty. It was too small for two people, even though it was a double room. With our backpacks on the floor, we couldn't both stand at the same time. The bed was in a little pocket in the wall that got very hot at night. Overall I'm sure you will find something better for a similar price in KL.

Very cozy hostel!
Very cozy and well organized hostel with both private and shared rooms. Friendly staff. There's a rooftop where they serve breakfast in the morning and have a bar in the evening. Downstairs there's a place to eat as well. Hop-on-hop-off bus stop is just a couple hundred meters the main door I can definitely recommend the Mingle Hostel.

Stayed here 2 nights; would definitely return! The nice and helpful Mingle staff definitely aim to engage the diverse solo travelers, with various activities that always include food. I signed up for a Saturday group (7 ppl max) tour; the cost was 25 RD (less than $6 USD) for a 6 hour tour outside of KL. I recommend it! The hostel was a bit noisy at night due to some male guests, but when asked to quiet down they willingly did. Mingle does provide earplugs. There are various seating areas to make phone calls or chat with other backpackers. All areas were clean and spacious. The only things I had to get used to were walking past the open modern-industrial bathrooms to the roof bar, for breakfast and the placement of the community sink to brush my teeth. Take an umbrella to the roof bar if it is raining (esp. during breakfast time) or you will get wet. There are 6 toilets and 6 showers; I never had to wait in line. I don't like that the hostel charges to rent the padlock for the locker assigned to the pods. I stayed in a 4 room pod so I felt comfortable storing my 2 bags in the locker without a lock. The location is in walking distance to a few temples, night markets and food spots. The restaurant downstairs is delicious and you can get a 10% discount for showing your key card. I was advised to use GRAB only if I wanted a ride to get around; the hostel is easily found on the app. Bring your slippers (shower shoes or basic flip flops) for your room, no shows allowed inside.

The location is excellent if u like Chinese food!! Even though it's noisy sometime, but the atmosphere during the stay is really nice, easy to meet friend! And the bartender who name Lawson I like the most, he treated all guests as a frd , he did provide a lot of useful information! Thank you for his service ! Would definitely come back

There's better options
Mosquito's are going to eat you alive! A lot of standing water & open windows. From the toilet to your room mosquito's are relentless. And they fail to mention even I'd you turn in the towel without receipt you fail to get your deposit back. I should of just kept the towel.

I booked a 4 pod room, what they don't tell you is that two of pods are double beds so the rooms actually sleep 6 and not 4. The reason I book smaller rooms is to avoid people making noise and couples espically like to talk to each other. On the 2nd night at 1.30am the night receptionist checks people in by coming into the room, turning on the lights and then telling them about the facilities!!!!! This is totally unacceptable when people are trying to sleep! There was no hot water both nights I went for a shower The breakfast is a bit of a free fall, not much room and pretty average The pods are nice tho and have a light and plug socket.

Amazingly polished hostel, with excellent service
The hostel places great emphasis on preserving the original condition of the old building, while merging it with new facilities that make the stay very pleasant. Quality of furnishing and decorations are purposeful and deliberate to make the stay enjoyable. Fast WiFi, digital check in and instant hot showers. Also I would like to commend owner Leong for the excellent insightful day tour to the waterfalls and hot spring. Truly appreciate his pleasant personality and sharing of knowledge! He was not shy to go out of the way to make the stay a memorable one. Also would like to commend staff Lawson for making this trip a very personal one. I am very grateful for your generosity and kindness to explore the hip places of KL together with me. Mingle is easily the best hostel in KL. Amazing cafe downstairs too. Keep it up!

Great little hostel, it's in a cool old historical building with a nice atmosphere. I stayed in one of the dorm rooms and it's like a capsule hotel, the air conditioning worked really well. Bring your own padlock to use the locker in your room. If you want to use their towels you need to pay a small fee and deposit but it's really cheap. The staff were friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood has a lot of cheap restaurants and it's next to the big Chinese night market but it's definitely a little grimy - not a big deal for me though. They provide a simple breakfast of toast, boiled eggs, coffee and tea.

Dare to be different. Leon has created a hostel with an quirky artistic industrial rustic feel. His team were super awesome and knowledgeable. Rooms and bathrooms best experience ever. They arranged amazing extra tours although we couldn't fit one in. Location in china town and street markets just right. GoKL bus around town super easy. Best experience ever. Thanks Leon and team.

It has been a very good stay, it is nearly perfect especially the staffs were giving warm service and smiles were on their faces all the time. Just one thing that i was not happy with: the sound proof is bad, all night has been accompanied with the noise from the vehicles(almosy 80% of the rooms'windows are facing road) and i can hear the laughs and walking(on steel kind of stairs). Couldn't sleep well.

Mingle is a great hostel, I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms and facilities are clean and modern and the setting is great. The hostel design is really cool and innovative, and in an ideal location to explore KL. The breakfast is basic, but that's to be expected. Overall, really great place, will recommend it to anyone looking for a base in KL.

Great location, awesome staff
I thoroughly recommend Mingle and would definitely stay there again if I come back to KL. The best thing about staying here is the friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff. They know the city very well and offer advice on activities, local food, onward travel options, etc. They also organise a group activity each weekend - today they took us for a tour of local restaurants to try some traditional foods. The dorms have everything I would expect from a new hostel: great wi-fi; beds are really comfortable and each has its own light, air-con unit and power outlet, as well as a thick curtain for a bit of privacy in the dorm; bathrooms are clean and the showers are powerful. There is also an open air seating area upstairs where breakfast is served in the morning. It also has loads of character and is a quiet, relaxed place in a great location close to lots of things to do. The Chinatown night market is right outside the door so lots of cheap, tasty food is easy to find, as are other things you're likely to need, like ATMs, grocery shops, and a laundromat. The only negatives I can think of are very small: it would be nice to have a water filter to refill bottles from and stop so many being wasted each day; some rooms don't have windows so in spite of the air-con it can get a bit stuffy if a few people are moving about packing bags... but if you're in the room enough that this bothers you, get out and explore!

良い宿です。
良い宿です。近くにコインランドリーあります。共同トイレ共同シャワーです。お湯がちゃんと出ます。スタッフは親切。ロッカーキーとバスタオルは有料。朝食あります。この宿は毎日独自のオプショナルツアーがあるみたい。アウトドアしたりみんなで夕食会したりするみたい。チャイナタウンのすぐ近くです。

Prima locatie als je een paar nachten door wil brengen in Chinatown. Schone bedden en behulpzaam personeel. Een prima ontbijt ‘s morgens. Er zijn wat weinig toiletten/douches aanwezig, daarnaast zijn deze door het vele gebruik niet altijd even schoon. Vanwege het feit dat de kamers in een grote ruimte gebouwd zijn ontstaat er erg veel lawaai door deuren en trappen.

パサールセミ駅 ( チャイナタウン ) より近く、美味しいレストランもたくさんあり、観光にも便利な場所にあります。 お部屋は4人部屋のドミトリーに泊まりましたが、古いながらもキレイにしてあります。タオルは言わないと貸してくれませんが、言うと毎日新しいものを貸してくれます。 お風呂とトイレもたくさんあるので、待つことはありませんでした。 ただ1つだけ気になるのは、到着時受付にて、デジポットを20RM預けたのですが、それと同時に、エクスペディアがあなたからTAXをもらってないから、今15RM払ってくださいと言われました。 そのときは、そうかと思って払ったのですが、後で確認したらTAXもサービス料も払っていました。 デジポットを受け取るときに伝えようと思いましたが受付の人も違うし、受け取ったデジポットの領収書にもその旨は載っておらず、エクスペディアの領収書も日本語のみだったので諦めました。 そこだけがもやもやしましたが、滞在自体は何も問題なく良かったです。
