Somebody is playing a practical joke on hotels.com. There’s no way the reviews that earned this a 9.4 rating are genuine. This is a previous oilfield “man camp” that has been turned into a hotel. And let me say they were well used by the oilfield guys.
The entry door was so caked with oilfield fingerprints that I didn’t even want to touch it. The bathroom smelled like urine and the toilet was not well cleaned, the shower bottom was cracked and dirty, the light switches were dirty, the privacy/security deadbolt would not lock, the light bulbs in the lamp and half of the overhead light fixture were burnt out, the wash rags were stained and dingy, the floor was uneven a felt weak in many areas. The chair in the room was one of those super crappy $20 computer chairs. The front “office” was cluttered and dirty, and again the door was so dirty I didn’t want to touch it. Definitely no breakfast.
I’m not a super picky person, but come on!?!?!
I stayed because the AC worked fine and the sheets seemed clean and I had a funeral early the next day. Main surfaces (table, nightstand) did appear to have been wiped. It was nice to park right in front of my door. I didn’t see any bugs except a couple crickets.
