The hotel room was like an old apartment flat. All furnitures were very old! Heater makes a lot of noise and makes almost impossible to sleep. Extra bed in the closet was so smelly that we couldn’t use it, even though we needed one. Only positive side was the view was so great that sees the lake beautifully and the staff was so helpful over the phone helping instructions opening the room door.

It felt abandoned. They have numerous rooms, but only a couple had occupants. No one worked there in the evening. I had to call a number to get the combination for the key lock. So it was a little eerie. Really small TV. A little dirty. I was there solo, so it was ok but I had no desire to stay in my room. I went to a bar and then to the casino which was fun.

Don’t be confused by the word “resort” in the name. It’s a bare bones place to sleep and forget about it. The lake view is nice and the staff is very friendly.

They need to replace the floor in the bathroom and put non slip strips in the shower to earn a higher score under property condition. The room is not fancy but was large and comfortable. I slept well which is not always true when I stay at motels.

It seemed clean. The cons were the lamp did not work so could not plug in phone or have a light by the bed. Mosquitoes were hovering by the door at night so coming or going you let them in. I wound up killing at least 30. A terrible smell outside like a skunk which made me nauseous in the morning when we were leaving.

The pictures do not do this place justice. This is a really gorgeous view that was a safe, functional place for me and my dogs. We were just looking for somewhere to stay for a few nights and this place was perfect. When I go back, I'll definitely be booking here again

What an absolutely incredible place! It's truly enchanting! The staff here is beyond amazing, treating you like beloved family members. The cabin we stayed in has such a charming rustic feel, giving us the ultimate cozy camping experience. And let me tell you, the view of the lapping lake right outside our window is simply breathtaking! It's as if the beauty of the lake hits you the moment you step out the door and gaze through those picture windows in the cabin. Surrounded by majestic tall trees and an abundance of lively birds and adorable critters, this place is an absolute paradise for nature lovers! There's never a dull moment with so much natural beauty to explore. The best part is that it's conveniently close to Lakeport, a delightful small town that radiates charm without any of the hustle and bustle of a big city. We couldn't even find a souvenir store! That's how delightfully "hidden" this gem of a place is! We happened to visit during the July 4th celebration, and let me tell you, it was pure bliss. The locals were out in full force, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. No judgmental "oh, tourists!" looks here! It felt like stepping right into the vibrant world of the Virgin River show on Netflix! This place truly exceeded our wildest expectations and left us with memories that will last a lifetime. If you're seeking an energetic and unforgettable getaway, this hidden paradise is an absolute must-visit!

We understand that being right on a lake comes with certain issues (bugs, bugs, bugs, dampness). So we were happy that none of these affected the inside of our room. The lake is very pretty. 1. No one on site the whole 12 hours we were there (7:30pm to 7:30am) 2. No ice machine for our waters. Maybe there is one in the office? 3. We had to leave our windows open and run the air to get out the overwhelming smell of the bleach-based cleaner (the room was clean). 4. Again, the lake, but the spider webs have to be swept off the building daily...it was too much too close to the room.

Idyllic Lake Setting
This is an old building but decently maintained. Our room was spacious even with 2 queen beds. There was a mini fridge, microwave, and Keurig machine in the room. The beds were too springy and the pillows were too soft for my taste. My daughter didn’t mind the bed, but she and my husband agreed that the pillows were too soft and went flat. The A/C is an old unit and very loud even when the fan is set on low but it works well. The separate heater unit was conveniently labeled which was nice. The water in the shower had good pressure and heated up quickly. One of the best things about our experience was how friendly the front desk person Rubi is. I called the morning of my check-in to let her know we’d be arriving late, and she was so helpful about it. She texted me the information I’d need for a late self check-in. I also told her we’d be leaving really early. So she tried to help me find local cafes that might be open at that time and offered to put extra coffee pods for the Keurig in our room. So sweet! The other best thing about our experience was when we opened our door early the next morning, we were greeted by an amazing sunrise across the lake. Absolutely stunning and such an idyllic serene setting with the sounds of the boats gently swaying in the water! There was even a local with his dog on the dock fishing. It was like a postcard. If you don’t mind springy beds and soft pillows, then I would recommend this place.
