Nice boathouse at the water
Very nice and cozy house, well equipped with a beautiful terrace at the water. A lot of seating options - very enjoyable - we loved it! Surprise! There is a restaurant nearby with great food!

Daughters Senior Graduation Family Celebration stay!
We had an amazing time at this cabin! Check in process to checking out! No issues what do ever & the place is even better than the pictures ❤️ Will definitely come back again! We live 30 min away & would highly recommend to locals & friends/family from out of town!

No complaints, house is on the water and very quite neighborhood . The decks over the water are extremely nice to sit and relax, screen is torn on the screened in side but still kept majority of the bugs out. We had a relaxing stay, the only thing that would have made it better was if the fish were biting.

Jet Boat Trip
We traveled to Caddo with at least 25 other people to run our jet boats all weekend. Our stay was amazing! The house right on the river was beautiful and convenient. The dock and boat slips (with lifts) were incredibly handy since we we could keep our boats right there. We would love to stay again the next time we visit!

Great Low Key Getaway
This cabin served our family of 5 needs. The beds were all comfortable. We spent a lot of time at the outdoor fire pit and loved that. We had a lamp not working and went to a convenience store to get a lightbulb and they happened to know where we were staying and gave us a light bulb. Turns out it was just unplugged, but the people were so nice and helpful. We took a swamp tour with Captain Ron just down the road. It's a must! We also discovered the town of Jefferson which we enjoyed. We would like to come back another time. The only downside was I thought it was overall a bit pricey.

Says tv and Wifi we would have been ok if the tv wasnt old and not where we could stream. its winter thats what we do . If it would have been summer outside is where we would have been not an issue . Fire pit a no chairs around unless you carried from upstairs in the dark .. light switches for outside difficult to find… we will more for an updated place clean but neede updating

Thank you for your review Vickie. Sorry to hear the tv was an issue. Yes it is an older tv (not a smart tv). We ended up w/it after my husbands grand mother passed years ago, so we utilized it so we could get local channels as we didn't used to have a tv a all. We will take in consideration purchasing an updated tv . As for the chairs around the fire pit. We lost them in one of the floods.We were one of the lucky ones, many others lost more. Every Spring we look at what we can do to keep our little cabin cute and cozy. We value every review where we can make improvements where needed. Thank you for staying with us.

Wonderful weekend getaway
Was able to get together with friends to kayak, enjoy the beautiful and serene nature close to the state park and national refuge. Launching kayaks was a little difficult but it’s just a short paddle away from Carter Lake and Pine Island Pond. Wi-Fi is a little slow but it was able to get some work done and enjoy some streaming. Covered deck kept us dry during a storm. Beds were comfy and place was clean! Would rent again.

Beautiful location
Enjoyed our stay and would stay again. I do have a couple of suggestions. We traveled in after dark pulling a boat and a house # at the road would be helpful. When I stepped in the front door, there is a step down that I didn't see because it was dark. I did fall (uninjured) and had my hands full. I could see this being a safety concern if I'd been a few years older. Maybe a light in that doorway would be good. We were able to use one of the boat slips with our bass boat. The second one with a lift was not working. The one not working is actually set up for a bass boat where the one we used is set up for a smaller boat. We were able to lift up enough to keep the boat from hitting the dock when others came down the river but it could be better if the other side were working. Again, suggestions, not complaints. We would stay again regardless!

We left a day early because of the pending rain. The neighbors were very loud on one side. The front door doesn't lock. I will remember to bring paper towels next time. We only used one bedroom - left the dirty linens in the wash as we didn't have the right soap. Outstanding place.

Sorry the weather was not cooperative, and the neighbors were loud. That house is a bigger one and they do rent it out to larger parties. We usually provide paper towels and laundry soap and I apologize for those details being over looked. My husband will be there in a week and will look at the lock on the door. It has been adjusted once as the house does shift. Despite the weather we hope you were able to enjoy some outside time on the dock. We look forward to your next stay with us.

This was a great house for my husband and 3 grown kids to stay for Mother’s Day weekend. There was plenty of room for us all. The deck was very relaxing and perfect for enjoying my morning coffee.

Great Location and Beautiful Dock!
We enjoyed our time. The location was great with just short drives to Jefferson and Marshall. Boats slips were a great positive and we were able to hit the river at a moments notice. The deck was a great place to enjoy a meal and drinks. The only negatives is that the kitchen is tiny, but we adjusted our menu to not include a ton of prep. In addition the upgraded thermostat is on a schedule, we all found ourselves waking up in the middle of the night sweating because it would reset in the middle of the night. Other than those issues the house was great for our needs.

On the Bayou!
Great location for peace and quite. Deck is a large one and is right on the water. If you’re looking for a place to kickback with friends or family, this is it.Inside the home is clean and comfortable, outside and the boat deck both need a little TLC. Overall for the money it’s a nice place.

This is the best property for our annual 4th of July fishing trip. We have stayed at this place multiple times and it's always clean. Easy access to good fishing areas. A nice boat ride for the family to watch the fireworks over the lake. A/C is excellent, water hot, well stocked with dishes,towels, blankets. Nice deck with great overlook onto the river. The staff are the best of any vrbo type place I've ever rented. Value for my money.

Great location on the bayou and close to Big Pine Lodge. Lots of outdoor living space. Inside and out could benefit fro some TLC in cleaning and repairs. Property Mgr was prompt in response to concerns about tv not working and trash overturned in front yard.

Lake was beautiful, Property was not clean.
First of all, we were not given a code or key for the door which meant someone had to stay at the property at all times. We had no way to lock the door. We were greater by very large spiders hanging in almost every corner. Brush had to be burned down in fire pit before it could even be used, not talking about a small amount of brush, took several hours! Overall cleanliness of the property was poor, window seals hadn't been cleaned in months! Cobwebs everywhere. Had to wash/dry our own towels and put them away which was not a big deal, glad we limited ourselves to one towel each or we would have had to supply our own laundry detergent, there was only 1 tide pod left in the supplied bag. Towels were left in the washer from previous tenants or owner and washed with our towels, by the way your welcome! If you're going to charge someone a cleaning fee actually clean your home. The extra person charge was a complete joke considering we did everything for you. Only plus..... the lake was beautiful everyday.

I was a little disappointed with what the pictures look like and what it actually looks like in person! Decks were dirty and not anything like it shows! We had to clean outside chairs on the deck just to sit down! It was nice right on the water but a little pricey for the looks of the place!

exactly what we needed!
we needed a “home away from home” for our whole family. this property was great. description didn’t prepare us for ALL of the outdoor decking. nice surprise! we settled in quickly and enjoyed the property for the week. the property location was perfect for the Caddo/Uncertain area sights.

Simple and sweet
The property was perfect for what we needed it for and our amount of people. The deck was my favorite part of the house. The only thing that lacked was cleanliness of the property inside. If it would have been super clean I would have given it 5 stars. Not a deal breaker but I sort of wish I would have known so I could have cleaned it myself.

Fantastic outdoor space
Found house to be very clean, lots of comfy beds to sleep in. Deck is incredible...we watched swamp (fan) boats, pleasure crafts, kayaks go by. Liked the abundance of board games available. Good WiFi. Only drawback is the one bathroom ratio to the amount of beds; and tv channels were not abundant. Thought nice touch would be to add a DVD player with a small library of dvds to choose from. Another con was the request to get towels washed and dried and put away before we left (per instructions)...but we did it👊😊! Overall loved the lake house and wish we would have been able to stay longer. The price is affordable. Kim was great to work with. Would recommend 😊.

Questionable practices and cleanliness, but decent enough
The large sprawling deck was the saving grace of the place. There seemed to be sewage seeping up in the front yard and the place looked like it had been abandoned for some time. The inside of the house had gritty, dirty floors and the outside had been completely overrun by bugs and spiders. We spent the first hour shaking out the outdoor furniture cushions, wiping down tables, and picking up board game pieces that had been left behind. The place had obviously not been cleaned before our arrival. We were never given keys after several requests. The property manager kept repeating that the house was open. Which meant we had to leave the place unlocked anytime we left, which was very uncomfortable. One of the bedrooms did not have a closeable door, which was also a concern. And a second bedroom had a mattress that was practically unusable. We also had to wash and dry towels before we left, which is very annoying after paying a cleaning fee. But the worst part is that the dryer didn't work. We restarted it 3 times before we finally gave up. Plus, there was a load left in the dryer that we didn't know what to do with. Overall, it wasn't the worst place, but we did expect it to be better cleaned and maintained. Again, the deck was very nice, just wish it had been better maintained.

Good for our fishing trip.
Pros: Owner was very accommodating when we had guests arrive early, and again when there was an issue with the water meter. Plenty of beds for a large group and a great view of the bayou from the deck. Plenty of parking for boat & trailers (we had 7 vehicles). Good water pressure, nice TV, cold refrigerator, plenty of towels and laundry supplies. Good heat & air. Cons: Some of the blankets smelled weird. Was a bit surprised to find we were expected to wash, dry, fold and replace towels (according to the checkout instructions on the table) when we paid a cleaning fee. Not a deal breaker, though. Plumbing was suspect. Septic seepage from the ground in front yard and back flow into the sink when the toilet flushed. Probably just needs a regular septic tank pump-out service. Overall: Again, just fine for a group of guys on a fishing trip. Nothing fancy, but it had everything we needed at a reasonable price. The owner was very responsive whenever we needed anything.

Beautiful area and peaceful
We loved the home, it sits right on the Bayou. It is an older home, but they have it fixed up really cute. Very comfortable. Nice pots and pans. The most beautiful deck, right over the Bayou. If it had any drawback at all, it was that the Direct TV did not work. But we really did not go to watch TV. A place that beautiful , is meant to spend outside.
