It was a pleasure staying in this friendly hotel for a few days! A quick walk from the main railway station, and a convenient location for visiting the main sights of the city. There is a large grocery store also in the area. Perfect for my needs, I would definitely stay there again!

Very convenient hotel
Good hotel very close to railway station and convenient for everything. The rooms overlook the station but there is absolutely no noise from the railway. Excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat

The room was small, but it was next to central station which was very convenient. I appreciated the fact that a room situated so close to the train was very quiet. The shower also had great water pressure

Does the trick!
Right at the train station, but you cannot hear the trains at all, which was a pleasant surprise. Small rooms, but good for a quick overnight or two. Standard breakfast, but no complaints.

There was no air conditioning since start of stay (although paid for an airconditioned room).not informed until you tell them its not working in the room.requested fan but not available.didnt even offer any complimentary drinks/refreshments or even a free breakfast.we have to always ask for a glass of water.pillows was so soft and flattens quickly.could have done wih a coffee/tea facilities in the room.though reception was helpful.just lack communication towards paying guests.

This is a very basic property with small rooms. However, that is all we needed for this part of our travels. It was clean, the staff were really good, and it was a great option for an economical stay when you're not spending a lot of time in the room. We really liked that it was a short walk to the train station.

It was very cheap and had a good breakfast It is close to the hbf so handy for trains The only negative was that the air conditioning in my room was not very effective On a day when 29?was the top temperature it was still 27 in the room at 20 pm despite having temp turned down to 5 degrees and fan on max since mid afternoon Hotel is fine if weather is not hot I would not book if expecting hot weather Maybe other rooms are cooler but mine on second floor was too hot

Surprisingly good!
Decent hotel for the price, usually Ibis hotels are really basic budget hotels, but this one is nice. Room was modern with a nice sized TV. the bathroom was a bit small, but serviceable and clean. Bed was comfy and clean. Breakfast was good, they had a nice selection of food, fruits, and even a waffle maker. Would stay here again if in the area.

Relaxing and convenient
Warm and friendly check-in. Spotless and spacious adjoining rooms worked well for family of four. DIY waffle station at breakfast a huge hit with kids. Three minute walk to main train station and zoo.

Quite stopover in Karlsruhe
This was just a quick stopover to break a journey. Just a very standard Ibis with really no character to speak of. It’s very conveniently located close to the railway station, and an easy walk from the city centre. The breakfast was not included (unusual for an Ibis I think). Room was quite spacious enough for overnight, the internet worked, it was clean and fairly quiet. Probably not somewhere you’d want to spend a week’s holiday but for the odd night a bit of bland is ok.

everything was lovely except parking in the hotel, there's only 8 free parking spots, one night there was no place to park so we parked in the back where is plenty of "free" parking spots, in the morning they told us that we need to pay 8€ for parking, it's not much but still..Also housekeeping knocking at our doors at 9:30 am, and again around 10:15 am, and when she saw us in the room she was annoyed and rolled her eyes which is not really professional, other then that all good

The hotel is located close to the main station. The location was one of the main reasons I chose it, and it turned out to be a good choice. The windows provide good sound insulation, the bed was comfortable and I had a good nights sleep. In case you cannot sleep, there is a big flat screen TV that can be turned towards the bed with many channels to chose from. I was travelling alone and was surprised to find a double and a single bed to chose from in my room, but I guess better too many beds than no bed. Despite the extra bed, the room did not feel cramped. Staff at reception was friendly and helpful. To avoid confusion, the main station is not in the city centre, so if you are looking for a hotel in the city centre, keep looking. If you want easy access to high speed trains, local trams or even the zoo, you've found the right hotel.

Great location for Hockenheim

Disappointed with Expedia and Ibis Hotel Karlsruhe. I made early check in request right after booking the hotel but nowhere it was mentioned to be chargeable. I had to pay Eur 15 extra at the time of check in due to early check in. I will never book any hotel through Expedia for hiding this important information.

Enjoyed my six days at this hotel. Virtually everything was perfect and the breast fest was quite tasty. The small downside was no plug next to the bed so it was next to me and charging during the night.

Conveniently located near the train station
Location adjacent to train station is this hotel's best feature. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast is reasonable. Biggest negative for me was the awkwardness of using the smallish shower.

Spent 4 days here for business. Room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast had a good choice, along with a fresh waffle maker. A great place to stay especially if you're arriving/leaving by train.

Perfect weekend stay with good friends.
Perfect in every way. Had a great weekend with excellent friends, what could be better. The tram stop opposite takes you into town, where numerous bars and restaurants are all within the same small area. Will definitely return to the town and the hotel
