The property's proximity to Efteling is great! Perfect to spend a day at the park then unwind at the hotel's various lounges and restaurants with excellent staff! It's easy to get to and from Hotel de Kroon and the GuestHouse hotel. Overall we had a great stay!

3 night stay in a twin room. Pros: Free ample parking, genuinely a 10 min walk to Efteling, great supermarket on site, nice staff at reception / restaurant, clean bedding, hot shower etc. Cons: This hotel is an offshoot of the larger hotel opposite, which presents itself much better. My room (14) was in what felt like a youth hostel and the windows overlooked various flat roofs. Didn’t look like the photos. Doors slam shut and noise could be heard from the boiler all night. Unfortunately we came back after a long day to find our room door wide open after the cleaner had been in. They’d turned the lock to avoid it shutting (I assume) and didn’t reverse this before leaving. A scary moment! I’d stay here again, but not in this old building. The bigger hotel opposite looked much nicer. This place reminded me of a school trip situation! I saw some signage downstairs that said ‘budget hotel’ or similar and this wasn’t clear when I booked.

Great budget hotel close to the Efteling. Clean and renovated rooms. We did not use the added breakfast which you get in the hotel next door but instead went to get some things in the Albert Heijn which is next door.

Good location, nice restaurant , room is so hot its unbearable . No fan provided in the middle of summer and there is only a back door for ventilation which unless you open fully you can’t get enough air in. There is an an option to have it on a slight slant leaving the door then locked however in the middle of the summer it isn’t enough. We had no choice but to leave the door fully open which is not safe and secure. Each room leads onto a small patio which is over gown and you are able to walk to each property. By this being in place and our door open to Cool the room down we had one of the other guests coming into the patio area and approach our door. Completely unsafe and by having something simple like a fab provided in the room this could’ve been avoided. When asked if there was a fan staff declined. Unfortunately between 4 of us we got about 2 hrs sleep which isn’t ideal when you have a long journey ahead of you. Other than being ridiculously hot in the room it was clean, beds were comfortable and overall a nice place to stay. One added benefit would be a drinks vending machine as nearest place is the other hotel bar/ restaurant across the car park.

Beds are really thin and bed linnen made from sweaty material. No airco. Heating far too hot. The guest house looks nice but they have not invested in proper beds.

Great location for Efteling visit
We stayed at Hotel De Kroon for one night whilst in the area to visit Efteling Theme Park. As we arrived by public transport into Efteling Bus Station, we made short five minute walk by foot to the hotel. We stayed in a corner room with a balcony over the entrance to the hotel, which we utilised in the evening after buying some drinks from the nearby Albert Heijn supermarket. Our only criticism of our stay was that as the weather was hot and the room didn’t have any air-conditioning (only a ceiling fan) we didn’t have the best night’s sleep with it being warm. We didn’t use the bar and restaurant facilities at the hotel choosing to eat out in Kaatsheuvel.

Lovely little hotel, with very friendly staff that I would say is made for families with young children as it closes down at 10pm and you're moved into the darkened breakfast room. On more than one occasion kids would come down after 10pm wondering why everything was in darkness. As we weren't getting back from Efteling until 8,30pm (late opening times) we ate across the road or via Lidl. If you're a little on the large size you'll find the single beds very narrow.

Pefrect place for family going to Efteling.
Perfect spot for a family vacation at Efteling park. Easy walking distance to the park and also to the restaurants in town. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Room was cosy and comfortable. Playroom for the kids was a bonus so parents can have a coffee or a beer in peace.

Great hotel for Efteling
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while taking the children to Efteling, which is a 10 minute walk away. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, full of recommendations of where to go and practical tips. The family room was comfortable with two single beds and a bunk bed for the children. Downstairs, there is a coffee machine offering complimentary drinks, and a play room with table football and air hockey. Breakfast was continental, and there was a good choice of food. There is plenty of parking, and the hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the smallish town centre which had a few places to eat.

Upon arrival at Hotel de Kroon, the staff was welcoming and incredibly helpful in showing us around the hotel, and giving us advice on dinner locations. Most of the staff we interacted with had some connection to Efteling, and gave us their thoughts on how to organize our day in the park. The hotel seems to have something for every age group, and is particularly family-oriented, but has a bar and free coffee and tea in the lobby, which we definitely took advantage of during our rainy stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering an alternative to the costly Efteling hotels.

Lovely friendly hotel near Efteling!
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights due to the proximity to Efteling. It was a perfect location, being only 5 minutes walk from the theme park and bus stops. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome due to the friendly English speaking staff who were super helpful. The room was basic but had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The beds were softer than I prefer but only a minor point, as it was still comfortable. The buffet breakfast included was the usual continental style with plenty to fill us up before a day in the park! The hotel had excellent WiFi in the rooms. There was a supermarket around the corner and several restaurants nearby. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay near Efteling.

Great Little Hotel, Great Location Near Efteling
From Amsterdam we took the train to s-Hertogenbosch, which took about 50 minutes, then switched to the 300 bus directly to the Efteling parking entrance (another 30 minutes). Getting to Hotel De Kroon was a 7 minute walk in the opposite direction from Efteling. We had a corner room that was very nice and included a private balcony. What really set this hotel apart from others we've been to was the staff. In particular, Ruud and Vieveke, who we feel really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Hotel De Kroon is located in the town of Kaatsheuvel - It has a wonderful combination of old-world charm and modern conveniences. Much less hectic than Amsterdam.

The only reason I would give this less than full marks is because there was no air conditioning and the wind never made it into our room and the bathroom was boiling hot!!! The location to the Efteling was PERFECT! The staff was AMAZING! I would recommend, but bring a fan or stay in the cooler months!

Prima verblijf, lekker diner en ontbijt. De kamer was volgens verwachting, misschien alleen een keer de kitrand in de douche vervangen. Verder was het wel schoon en oogde alles vrij recent opgeknapt.

Veel geluidsoverlast van deuren die dicht slaan en pratende mensen op de gang. De verwarming tikte aan een stuk door. Badkamer erg klein, geen raam en moest een flinke opstap maken. Kamer erg warm ondanks dat we verwarming hadden uitgezet en geen raam dat veilig open kon. Matrassen veel te zacht.

Basic hotel in Kaatsheuvel naast allerhande winkels. Parkeergelegnheid ruim aanwezig. Late incheck mogelijkheid ook ideaal icm bezoek Efteling. Voor de prijs kan je soebatten of er ook een ontbijt bij zou moeten zitten. Kamer was overigens zeer ruim.

Prima kamer, goede matrassen. Alleen een opmerking over het inchecken, daarin staat beschreven dat je dat kan doen vanaf 1500. Dit is pas om 1600, onze kamer was al klaar dus geen probleem.
