I love the chairs around the fire pit behind the motel that atmosphere was wonderful. I will be back again. I do travel frequently. A couple of things that need to be improved trim the hedges along the backside of the motel for the sidewalk. And in my room need to replace the plastic covering on the lights very very dim lighting in the bathrooms. The light in the ceiling was burnt out but the LED lights next to the mirror we’re fine it was just a plastic covering that was yellow really bad from the recent lightbulbs the incandescent burn the plastic turn them yellow.

We have stayed at this property multiple times and it’s always been fantastic. However after this stay we won’t be returning. Upon checking in our room smelled musty. Noticed mildew marks in the ceiling. It was two of us sharing a bed. One night my husband didn’t feel well so I went to lay in the other bed. The bedding was filthy, The air conditioning made a horrible sound that would wake me up. One ice machine didn’t work so the others were often empty. The coffee maker in my room didn’t work. They told me is was most likely operator error. I’ve stayed there before with no issue making coffee. One day the pool was closed. Chemistry was off. I get it that happens. The next day it opened and it was disgusting. Full of dead bugs and dirt. When you went to the office no one would be there. You would call and no one would answer. I killed a cockroach on my wall. The shower makes strange sounds. They built a new restaurant to replace the old bar. It totally kills the view. The Hoiiday Inn we so much loved is definitely a thing of the past.

We booked a full ocean view room, but the room that we received was a partial ocean view. We did ask the staff about this, but were told that it was ocean view. Having been to the property previously, we were aware of which rooms were full view, and that was not the case here, where a separate building blocked our view to the beach. We also had to go to the front desk to get a linen/towel replacement for the second night. I don't know if they do not change out linens automatically anymore if you only stay 2-3 days, or if they had forgotten our room. We called, and were told that towels were on the way, but 45-50 minutes later we had to go get them ourselves. The bed was a king, but not very comfortable. On the positive side, the property is convenient and walkable, and it is pet-friendly. As noted above, we have been this property in the past, and had a good experience. It's possible that this was just a one-off, but we came away very disappointed this trip.

Entire place needs TLC and a deep clean. Pool tiles very dirty and pump not working so there’s a film on the water. Room smells, rug needs shampoo, furniture dirty. Door seal not working properly. Doors need to be slammed shut. Rust on tub, peeling paint, sink coming off sides, AC coming off and filter not changed in long time. Door lock coming off, dirt stains on walls and tub faucet not working properly. One outlet either had mold or appeared to have had a fire before. Location is beautiful and this place really could be amazing. Been here three times over the years and it’s worse each time. Embarrassed to bring family or friends. Please clean up.

The hotel has made excellent upgrades to the pool area with a new bar/restaurant. It's really quite lovely, as is the hotel as a whole. The property is not perfect, but the staff is responsive and kind about everything.

This was the best place to stay now it is very run down. Dogs directly below us barked extremely loud and did not allow us to sleep our first night there. We had to change room which took away from our family time. Our room was in need of repairs. The doors were very hard to open and close. The doors looked like they have been kicked in before and repaired poorly. We will never be back

We love staying here for the ocean view from our room. This was our fourth time staying and the first time we paid for an "ocean view" room with no view of the ocean (due to trees/bushes directly in front of our room). The new restaurant on property is great as well.

The shower had hair in it. The toilet ran, off and on, throughout the night. Our room was next door to the hotel laundry room. Couldn't sleep in; sounded like someone was doing construction.

Is was kinda a cluttered; boxes in many public places. There was no sense of available staff, except when you went to the front desk. Our room had evident water damage to the carpet and on the walls and ceiling. the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling, and there were dark water stains on the carpet room. You could tell it was an old room, it needed a deer clean and come upgrades. The soda machine next to our room was beeping our entire 3 day stay

(1) The room I was given was smaller than what I reserved & seen online at a lower rate than the larger room. (2) The room was dirty, smelled like urine, & had furnishings which were ripped/torn. Because the frame on the door leading to the outside was warped, the door had to be slammed to get it to close, after which there were still gaps around the door with bugs crawling through. We did not even feel comfortable enough to unpack, use the bathroom, or sit on the bed or sofa. (3) Instead of putting a small "credit hold" on the card I used to make the reservation, shortly after we had gone to try to occupy the room, the property immediately charged my card for the full 3-day stay at the higher rate for the larger room they didn't even give us. When I went back to the lobby to ask about this, I was told that they knew they were going to have to move us to the larger room the next day. But this was not mentioned to me at check-in. I was advised that the matter could only be sorted out with the manager in the morning. So we refused the room, asked for a refund, got our bags & left. I don't even know if those charges are really going to be reversed.

Had a roach in my bathroom and sand in the sheets…the beach house restaurant was really good and you can’t beat being steps away from beach..if I had to stay on the island again it would stay at the westin for a little more money…the pictures don’t really show that it is a motel

It started out with the front desk woman not being very nice for being in customer service. The hotel itself was cute, comfortable and great location. The cleaning staff were great and so kind. The lady in the coffee shop was probably my favorite person! So so sweet! I came with friends and we tried to use the gym and only one of two treadmills worked, but other than some minor inconveniences, we had a wonderful stay!

When we arrived, there was a wedding going on in the lobby. There was barely room to check in much less hear. There were no parking spaces and we were told to ask next door if we could park there! We finally got to our room and it was moldy. There was visible mold in the bathroom/ shower. Floors were stained and carpet was gross. It was pouring rain so we didn’t want to go back and try to get another room. The lamp on the desk was broken and fell off the desk almost crushing a toe. Every time the air cut on you could smell must and mold. We were on the parking lot side so the noise continued late into the night. We walked outside to go down to the beach but weren’t allowed back in the lobby door because of the wedding. This place is not big enough for weddings. We stay at Jekyll often but couldn’t get into our regular place. We won’t go back to this hotel, as it call itself a resort, which is certainly not the case.
