The location within the Cornell campus is ideal and the reason to stay at the Statler. The staff very nice. The facilities are basic and tired.

Liked that it was within the university vicinity. The washroom experience was great - hot water, faucet pressure was nice and powerful, toilet flush was also powerful, nice toiletries provided. The negatives: bed could be more firm, and the decor was a bit out dated, breakfast could be provided as most hotels at this price range are all included. Also, upon check-in staff did not mention if there were additional facilities like a gym or a pool at the hotel.

Staffs were wonderful and it’s nice to have complimentary pick up and drop off service to and from the Ithaca airport. Limited eating venues but the main restaurant’s buffet breakfast and dinner offerings and quality of food are impressive. We stayed in the tower suite and the bathroom was new and very nice but the hotel lobby could use freshening up. The nightly rate is way too expensive ($750 plus $150tax) for admitted students weekend. It’s price gauging when normal weekend rate is half of that. Our flight home was at 4pm and we requested a late checkout and was told that they will charge $60 for an extra 2 hours. It’s a bit much given the fact that it’s a Monday and most guests have already checked out. All in all a good experience but I would think twice before staying here again.

The perfect choice if you have meetings or research on Cornell campus. Friendly employees and good facilities (although pulling a roll-away bed into a king room made for rather cramped quarters). Less convenient for access to Ithaca town center, as would be difficult to get to restaurants and shops without a car.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Statler Hotel, and it was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, providing a cozy retreat after a long day of exploring the Cornell campus. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, including a well-equipped fitness center. What truly set this hotel apart, though, was the impeccable service provided by the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfect.
