Quiet little spot
This was a nice little place and overall, a great stay. Unfortunately, I was unable to access my Vrbo app (technical issues with the app, nothing wrong with the wifi here) and so did not receive the stay instructions that the homeowner did kindly provide via the app. They were not able to provide us with all the information over text but were responsive with the essentials-There were not a lot of asks- take out the trash, put towels in a laundry basket- really very reasonable and we were happy to do as instructed. The home is a lovely space in an extremely quiet location- Seems like a sweet neighborhood--The local residents who treated us to an enthusiastic duet of "Oh, what a beautiful morning" and then a lot of Edith Piaf and Patsy Cline music on our final morning which we didn't mind a bit. There were a few small misses- damp towels that had become musty in the dryer, moldy coffee grounds left in the coffee pot, but overall, this was a really clean, well-kept space and these small oversights were easy for us to rectify on our own. We appreciated the chance to stay and explore this lovely little area of Texas for the eclipse and found the folks at Ingram's grocery and Stonehenge II to be fantastic. The HEB in Kerrville was fabulous for supplies and the house was well stocked for us to be able to cook meals here. April was a wonderful time for wildflowers. Would recommend to others.

Camp pick up stay
Amazing location- super close to Camp Waldemar and Camp Stewart. Spacious house, comfy beds and all the things you need to cook and entertain. We loved the back porch views and the private Guadalupe oasis. Already booked for next year!

This place is a hidden gem!
This place was a great spot to getaway for an extended weekend. There was great communication, detailed instructions for arrivals and departures, and everything was made seamless. The place has plenty of equipment and utensils for cooking. There are basics like coffee, sugar and creamers. I’d suggest stopping in kerrville to make a grocery run before checking in. The river is less than a 5 minute walk away, and they provide all of the water amenities. One thing to note, is that the internet is not that strong.

A fantastic cottage in Hunt, Texas!

Spring Break with family of 4
Our family of 4 totally enjoyed this house for our Spring Break trip! Brent was so helpful from the very beginning, even before I booked the house, answering questions!! The location of the house on the river was excellent! My son, especially, and our whole family enjoyed walking down to the river to hang out and fish, chill, and take a little dip in the water. The patio was very enjoyable in the evenings for dinner and smores! We look forward to possibly booking in the summer! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Wonderful location and well appointed hiuse
We chose this location to spend some family holiday time together. You have the river and associated activities right out the back door, and you also have a great location to both garner and lost maples state parks. Everything was great, this house is a wonderful place.

Weekend Retreat
We had a wonderful time exploring Hunt. The accommodations had two masters which was perfect for our family of four and another couple. We are dinner at home the first night and grilled outdoors and ate on the back porch enjoying our view of the river valley and sunset. Day two we explored Hunt and ate at the Hunt Store for lunch. As Crider’s was closed due to rain, we went into Kerville for a fabulous meal. Rails - a Cafe at the Depot was excellent local food and rhe service was great! We took several homemade deserts home to enjoy by the fire. Sunday we tools out the tubes and kayak and floated for hours in the cool, but not cold water. All equipment was in great shape. That night we grilled again and sat in the back shairing stories sitting around the fire. Our teenage girls, 13 and 15, had a great time exploring and also enjoyed the WiFi hook up. The landscaping, flowers and butterflies were amazing. A lovely destination for a weekend getaway.

Great Getaway!
Our family just returned from a long weekend at this property and had the best time. The house was clean and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. We loved the front and back patio and enjoyed eating all of our meals out there. The location on the river was perfect. Although it was a bit of a walk down from the house, it was worth it to have the river all to ourselves. Perfect place for our little ones to play safely for hours while my husband and I lounged in the water. We will be back!

Hill Country Gem
Property is lovely and was immaculate when we arrived. Instructions and information on the property were very thorough. Very well-appointed with all the linens, dishes, and cooking items you could want/need. We loved relaxing on the back deck and enjoying the view, and the heaters were a great addition during a spring cold snap. The kayaks were perfect for exploring, and the kids loved paddling and playing in the waterfall areas even though the forecast was a little chilly. The grill and outdoor fireplace were wonderful spots for family time. Everything was as described and we would (and will) return in the future!

AMAZING Place!!!
We were blown away by the location and property! Everything was perfect. We honestly couldn't stop saying how glad we were we chose this property. The house is super clean, comfortable, uber-relaxing due to the great back and front porch areas. You basically have a private river to access. We did not see one person on the river all week. The owners provide so many extras to make your stay better. I would love to come back to this spot!! You will not be disappointed if you choose this rental, I promise!!

We went here as a family vacation / getaway with our children. The cabin is located in the beautiful hill country and it was a scenic drive to get there. Perfect spot on the river with a waterfall. We had a most amazing stay at Cedar Cliff Cottage. Everything is just perfect. We have stayed at numerous locations in Hunt, but this one is our new favorite. It is quiet and peaceful, and the owners truly thought of everything. You don’t even need to buy ice…they have an extra ice maker! The appliances are all new. Everything is so well thought out. We have zero complaints and can’t wait to be able to stay here in the future. The river area is beautiful, and so is the walk to and from. The floating dock was fun as well. I could go on and on! You have to see for yourselves! I am such a planner and any question I had, the owner was so quick to respond….best river stay EVER!

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. plenty of room, beautiful views, comfortable all around. The only thing I would suggest is to maybe put a TV in the master bedroom so that we could get away from the rest of the family and chill and watch what we wanted to watch. :).

Fantastic cabin on river!
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cute river cabin. Brent's descriptions and photos are accurate, but don't do it justice. I was surprised at how big the rental lived and the incredibly well stocked the kitchen! We didn't need ANYTHING for meal prep... just our food. The house has plenty of linens for our whole crew as well as super comfy beds. Despite the TX heat, we at all of our meals on the back porch. The shade and fans were great! Just wished it was cool enough for the wonderful outdoor fireplace. There are plenty of tubes and kayaks for us to enjoy on the river. Be prepared, it's a trek down with your gear, but no too difficult. All of the neighbors/residents in the Cedar Cliff community we met were very friendly!

My husband, my daughter and I stayed at this house for a camp pick up/drop off, and the location was fantastic. Brent was very responsive with a few questions we had, and the check in/out was very simple. It was very clean. The bonus is being able eat all our meals on the porch table, and enjoy the porch swing. What a beautiful view!

One of the best....
Having stayed at various Airbnbs' , I have to say that this was set up perfectly. All aspects of the information were spot on and it is obvious that every detail has been thought out and provided for. The information and instructions were clear. The host was immediately responsive with no wait time whatsoever. The location is beautiful, the home is spacious and delightful with everything you might need supplied. If bringing small kids, suggest bringing more toys. Hope to return. A most enjoyable time was had by all.

Found our little piece of heaven-will return!
We were looking for a beautiful and peaceful vacation spot-We found it here! The pics, although great, do not give you the total experience of this natural setting, amongst beautiful blooming plants, trees, and nature (deer, birds, ferral cats) FYI: yes, the cats all have names now! The instructions, although many, were very useful. We shopped at the Walmart in Kerrville before arrival and the Hunt store between. We did not feel the need to go out to eat, so we enjoyed our meals together outside on the covered balcony facing the beautiful canyon and Guadalupe river. The trails were an unexpected delight! Bring your camera, if you like photography. The left side takes you to the river access area for cayaking, tubing, or swimming. The little floating island in the middle of the river was used often. The right side of the trails takes you to the beautiful waterfall area, with shallow waters for exploring. The cottage is close enough to take day trips to Lost Maples and Frio River! Does not feel like you are still in Texas-amazing. Please do the 337 Road-high but scenic! One of my favorite things was sharing time together around the outdoor fireplace-lots of wood provided- with beverage-of-choice in hand and making Smores. The grill was also very useful, so buy charcoal and lighter fluid at Walmart. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking. If you like to watch movies/TV-the screen in huge and couches comfy. We found this little piece of heaven, and hope to return every year with the family. If you are a nature lover, you will love this cottage.

The location was a really beautiful representation of TX Hill country but only recommended for those that can get around easily. The only downfall was the dogs across the street did not like our husbands. 🤣

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I've never had any problems with the neighbors dog before and I have never even seen it roam free. I know that it is just a lab or retriever so I assume nothing major happened. The wife is the HOA President and they are very nice people.

Definitely a clean property with a GORGEOUS view! Tons of kitchen items to use so we didn’t have to bring anything other than food. Situated in a cute little neighborhood off the Guadeloupe. The outside amenities were awesome! Both an outdoor fire place and fire pit on the front patio and a stellar sitting area on the back patio with gorgeous views. Darling ambiance and lighting in both areas. Nice and quiet and private. Everything we could’ve thought we needed was provided. Tube and kayaks use provided for which was awesome! The landing to the river access was awesome and we were able to catch some small fish and the water was super calm and the perfect depth for the kids to safely play without needing life vests. They loved swimming out to the dock in the middle of the river. The owner was awesome and super responsive and helpful! Definitely loved staying here and would totally come back! Things I wish I’d been more aware of (not the property owners fault just thing I noticed while we were there): the river access is fairly steep and it’s a lot of work to get kayaks back and forth each day. The hight lends to the Stellar views though which make up for the hike. There is also a bit of bad smell that wafts through on occasion. It’s not constant but it smells like a poor septic system possibly a neighbors. It wasn’t bad enough to keep us from being outside though. Lastly, the river is dammed off in this part of the Guadeloupe every 300 yards or so. We had hoped to have a kayaking day trip but due to the frequent dams we weren’t able to get very far. It worked nicely for the kids to kayak around though because there was no where unsafe for them to end up out of our sight. But maybe a good thing for future guests to be aware of if that’s something they are looking to do. It did make the water placid enough to just hang out in tubes though so it was a good trade off. Read through the owners instructions ahead of time also! Super helpful info in there. All in all a 5 star stay and would definitely do it again!

Thank you for the great review. Pretty much everyone out in this part of the hill country is on septic systems. There usually isn't an issue with smell but it probably happens sometimes. The house is up and away from the water and the kayaks have to be kept at the homes, so it can be a little bit of a pain to carry them down the steps to the water. Yes, the Guadalupe is dammed throughout both forks of the river and up all the way past Kerrville before you get to a more continuous river. The trade off is that you have very nice bodies of water for swimming and recreation.
