It was a nice stay but there was stains on the carpet entering the elevator and there wasn’t toilet tissue in hotel lobby restroom.

Although the staff was very nice and attentive, it was not cool that they allowed people from to come from the other 2 hotels and hang out all day and night. The pool is a designated bring your own weed bar after 5 and I'm guessing if you can't afford the room then the lobby couches are there for you. I do understand that we have to choose our battles with people, but it gives the hotel a bad look, its already tough being between 2 sketchy motels.

Nice Stay
Stayed here for the week while my wife was attending her mortuary college embalming labs. The room was clean and for the most part it was pretty quiet. The only odd thing was a strange smell in the hallway that was pretty strong, but once we notified the front desk it got better but it didn’t go away. The staff was very friendly and check in/out was easy. Other than the odd smell the stay here was very nice. It’s also located near a lot of places to eat and shop at which made it convenient.

When we arrived there were cops at the front door. I asked the desk clerk(very nice lady!) what was going on. She said this hotel housed kids for Texas CPS and the cops made rounds at intervals to keep them in line. As I’m talking to her, my husband calls me from outside and says don’t check in, we are leaving. He saw about a 14 year old boy going car to car in the parking lot checking them all out. The kid kept a threatening look at my husband the whole time. I’m glad we left. We went to motel 6 and it was a really nice place, very unusual shape and not typical for them with a gazebo. I think Candlewood is a dangerous place.

The police came at that time just to check with the CPS Texas employees. It did not involve any criminals' activities. We have a security guard every night. The room me and my husband stayed in only came with a spoon. No other silverware. I requested extra silverware or plastics as we had nothing to eat with and I was told housekeeping would bring it they never came. I was given one room key and one parking pass I sent my husband to request a key from the front desk and they treated him poorly. I have been staying in this hotel the past few months due to insurance fixing my home. This most recent stay I wouldn’t recommend.

The living room tv didnt work and we had asked about a crib or playpen hours before we arrived and they said theyd have one put in the room for us and there was not one in there.

I did not have hot water during my entire stay at this hotel. They then very rudely told me “well we’ll just come check it ourselves”. They came to my room on 3 separate occasions and there was no hot water. They never once fixed it. However, they assured me it wasn’t an issue because the guest next to me had hot water. I was on a business trip for the military and I’d never stay here again or allow my Soldiers to stay here.

The parking was super easy and the site was clean. The fact I had to put a $75.00 deposit down for the key was very upsetting for me. I didn't see it when I booked the room. That messed up some events that I had planned. In rm 327 there was a missing curtain and I inform the desk a young lady came up but no one came back or even put the curtain up the next day. I came in from New Orleans. I couldn't access the wi-fi until I was checked in. I have never been to Hotel where I had to wait until I was checked in first. I will never stay at Candlewood Suites again.
