Wow! Where do I start.
Hotel Keyforest HOKUTO is a relatively new hotel, created by an esteemed Japanese artist inspired by the regions culture and history. The images on the site really don't do the place justice despite them also being beautiful the rooms are incredibly spacious, and well equipped. The hotel went above and beyond my expectations of a hotel room by including fancy teacups, a hotel guide and FAQ presented in a wooden binder (gorgeous), the most precious coffee cups for in-suite coffee and yoga mats! Everything looked larger in the room than in the picture. I imagine it would be a great place to visit with friends on an outdoor adventure. The hotel property itself is quite extensive and offers many activities, has their own museum (with is free with hotel admission) restaurant and bar.
The staff at the hotel would undeniably the most lovely people. At the moment they are in the process of hiring more staff but that did not affect the attentiveness and helpfulness of the employees there. I felt I connected with each one of them as they left a lasting impression on me. The hotel provides hotel cars to nearby locations (which is incredibly helpful in Hokuto since everything is far away and there is not a lot of convenient in-city transportation). The staff are happy and willing to pick you and drop you off at the hotel and answer any of your questions in English or Japanese (and others I'm sure). I'm extremely happy with my stay - I recommend this hotel!
