"Its a bit out of the way for visitors without a car using public transport, but with a car it was fantastic as plenty of free parking in front. Quiet and safe area 24 hours manned reception - Receptionist was helpful checking me in, giving wifi instructions, recommendations for restaurants in the centre, etc. Fully self contained airconditioned flat with stocked kitchen, separate lounge, bed, bath areas. Coffee, toiletries towels washer dryer iron brooms mops etc provided. Blinds for hot sunny days. Limited dining options (variety) nearby but only accessible by car. I wanted to leave the car and use public transport to go into the centre one day but the nearest tobacco shop to buy the tourist pass was 20 mins away and they are only open in am or pm (siesta). Limited public transport was the only negative but everyone else is 10/10 definite recommend using a car"

"Another great little break at Costa Ballena. Despite the long queues at check in, the staff worked through the lines promptly. Food at the buffet was ok, has been better in the past, same with the pool restaurant. There was plenty of entertainment for the kids during the day and in the evening which was appreciated. Grounds and pool were clean at all times. Don't understand why small inflatables are not allowed in the main pool. I understand big ones, but small rubber rings should be considered in my opinion. Thank you for a nice few days (think its our fourth visit), will come again soon!"

"I sttayed here for convenience, space and the fact I could park a car. So it fits my needs. Without a car it would be maybe fro someone staying a long time in the city or so. The area is a little run down but the super market around the corner is perfectly stocked. For certain travelers it is perfect. "
