Great family getaway
We have a big family and the house accommodated all of us comfortably. The house was clean. It is an older home that needs some touch up paint and the carpet on the 3rd floor stairs needs to be replaced. Despite the home's age and a few cosmetic things, she is a beautiful home! The kitchen was a perfect gathering spot with all the essentials. Comfy couches, lots of chairs to gather to visit and enjoy laughter. We didn't turn on the tv's but they were available. The hot tub was waiting on a part so it was not in working order but the TX August weather was so hot, I don't think we would have used it anyway. The pool was great and had shade in the mornings and evenings. The listing didn't explicitly say that one of the bedrooms is only accessible through a bedroom. We found out only after the booking was made. The listing also shows only one king bed when there are actually 3 king beds. Our hostess, Sylvia, met us at check-in. She was on time and very helpful, making sure we knew all about the house, where the thermostats were located, where light switches were located, how to lock and unlock the front door, etc. Our family had a good time. Overall a great experience!

A Must Stay!
We had an amazing stay. The house was everything that was described in the listing! Sylvia made the checking in and out process a breeze and was always prompt on answering any questions throughout our stay. The house was very roomy for the 3 families that occupied it!

South Texas Escape
We and our friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lake front house. The neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. The backyard lake front was amazing with numerous interesting birds visiting daily. The house is spacious and well designed with a big kitchen and lots of room to enjoy the scenery and entertain friends. The house managers were readily available and helpful. If we ever return, we will certainly consider this house again.

The property met our needs of having a lot of space. Loved having the pool and hot tub for the kids. Property was clean. Close to a lot of restaurants a short drive away. Easy drive to South Padre Island for a day trip.

Beautiful House
This beautiful home was a perfect fit for us. We had some family from out of state visiting and this home was able to accommodate all of us. There was 3 families of 5 staying. The pool's temperature was set in advance for us before we checked in, so we were able to use it right away. The point of contact Sylvia did a great job helping us with all the necessary details. We will definitely be back, we loved this home.

Took a short vacation to get away and relax with friends and absolutely have no regrets. The house was absolutely stunning actually even better than the pictures with great hospitality as far as greetings and check ins during the trip with COVID respectful rules👍. Overall would recommend this to anyone.

Great property!
Overall, great experience. We traveled to the Valley for my dad's funeral - they accommodated our last minute booking and made the check in process very easy. The property is as advertised - tons of great space - plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms - the pool table and spa/pool were an added bonus! My only "heads up" is that you will encounter some flies/bugs due to the proximity of the Resaca. The house has three levels, but really not an issue if you have someone in your group with mobility issues as there is a bedroom/bath on the first level.

Great for Birds!! And great for relaxing after the birding with more birds.
The property is great. The rooms are nice and can be quite separate so you can be alone or join in with others. The kitchen layout is fun and very socially set up! The pool is a perfect hot tub pool, you get heated up and then swim from one end to the other steps on both ends of the pool and the deep part is in the middle; it makes a perfect cool dip! The towels are thick the hairdryers are quality! If the reverse osmosis water system worked it would be absolutely perfect. It was a fabulous stay.

My family vacation
This property was beautiful!!!! It was enough space to accommodate all my family. Everything was wonderful yhe property manager was very helpful & communicate with us well. I was happy to get to meet the owner of the property as well during our stay. Everyone was nice & friendly during our stay. While out visiting the area a lady asked where we were from because she knew we were visitors due to the town being 1% black. We didnt take offense but it did explain the stairs so dont get offened if natives looking at you unusually. If i had to suggest anything i would suggest to increase the # of pillows on the bed to 4 per bed instead of 2 for your guest, i would also tell the guest to bring DVD's or an Amazon Firestick if you plan to watch TV because channels were limited... other than that everything was great!!! If we come back that way this will be our home to stay in during our Harlingen visit.

Definitely our home away from home with everything you need for a week stay!
This is a first class property in a beautiful location. It is quiet and peaceful yet close to everything you might enjoy. Our five senior couples have come back for four years while participating in a local golf tournament. The house provides privacy for each couple and wonderful group space to be together. This year there was a new hot tub to enjoy. The property manager Sylvia is very accommodating and quick to respond to you.

Mini family vacation in this beautiful Harlingen home...
We got in a little early but we’re able to meet Sylvia at the home. We were greeted by her and were informed the AC was not working. They worked tirelessly to get it done for us and we were very grateful. We had 9 adults and 5 kids who were more than comfortable. The kids were occupied the entire time; didn’t have to hear we are bored and/or watch kids on devices once! It was perfect! Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful House
My family from California visited me in the end of March to celebrate a social event. 9 adults and 2 kids stay in the house. There was enough room for all of them. It's a beautiful home overlooking the arroyo in a peaceful neighborhood. My family took advantage of the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. The house was clean and ready upon arrival. The kitchen was full of plates, silverware, glasses and many cooking pots and pans, everything you need to prepare meals and the gas grill in the back patio was very useful. If you are coffee drinker, a regular coffee pot and a Keurig were available also. Overall, my family a great stay, I would recommend to stay in this place. My point of contact with any issues with the home was very professional and attentive to our needs. She always responded to my phone calls or txt messages. Minor issues are the following: Not enough towels to go around, but the home does have washer and dryer. Most of the bedrooms are upstairs. There were 2 bedrooms downstairs, 1 of the bedrooms has a pull out bed not very comfortable, and the other has a regular bed, comfortable for 1 person. I mention the downstairs area because if you have people that are elderly or have a hard time going up the stairs, they will have to remain downstairs and there is no elevator. The inside temperature of the home was comfortable throughout the stay in the end of March early April. I believe the thermostat was set at 76F degrees throughout their stay.I cannot rate of how the inside temperature would be in the summer in our Texas heat, maybe something to consider. Overall, I do recommend this house for large parties that want ample space.

The home was beautiful and very well kept and clean.
We were met promptly and given our instructions without any confusion. When we had issues with the refrigerator, action was taken within a few hours. While we were gone, the caretakers brought in a dorm type refrig for our perishables and a cooler with 2 bags of ice. They met the repairman and actually had the refrig repaired by that evening. The heated pool was enjoyed by all since it was a little cooler than we expected. Thanks - we enjoyed our stay!

Best Thanksgiving Ever!!!
I had my entire family under one roof for Thanksgiving and it was just amazing. This home was the perfect setting. Everyone had their own room. The pool and hot tub were nice and warm upon our arrival and the kids loved it. The staff were very flexible with our schedule and kindly & promptly responded to text/email. Shopping and food is within minutes. Would recommend to every family out there wanting quality time together!!!

The House was clean and well kept. The view is devine. We had our whole office come together to work a show in town and we all fit perfectly. The steam shower was a delight. I recommend this house highly. The caretaker was kind and available to help. It was a great place to stay.

Great Big Beautiful Home!
This big beautiful home is so spacious for a big family and great gathering place. It is equipped with all needed essentials. It literally does have 8 bedrooms plus so much more room! The pool was a great addition as we enjoyed 90+ temps! My family truly had a great time!

Spacious, fancy and functional for a gathering
This house is way more impressive in person than what the photos show! We came to the area for a memorial service and used the house to host a meal with the extended family. The house was perfectly suitable for a range of ages including infants to the elderly. The floor plan allowed plenty of room for people to sit and visit and the pool was great to entertain the kids although adults will be tempted to jump in! By the way, the steam shower was amazing! The beds were comfortable and the house was overall very clean. Sylvia was extremely helpful in showing us all the features of the house and answered all our questions. We gave it 4 out of 5 stars because there are a few a little items that need to be replaced/updated to make this a 5 out of 5 star rental. Overall, we had a wonderful time enjoying the house which was amplified by Sylvia's awesomeness. If we happen to go to Texas again, we would certainly rent this place each time.

Perfect for our annual family reunion
We really enjoyed our stay in this home. Our extended family came in from all over the US for 5 days (we also rented a second equally accommodating home around the corner, owned by the same property owner). The home is beautiful, clean, comfortable and perfectly accommodated our group of 12, with plenty of room for us to gather in the common areas and pool deck. Sylvia, our property manager, was WONDERFUL to work with - thorough and attentive to the few small issues that came up during our stay. We will definitely rent this home again if we travel to Harlingen/Padre Island in the future.

Great getaway for a big family
Beautiful and amazing home! Very spacious and welcoming. We were spending 5 days at this home attempting to reccinect as a family after losing our father. We enjoyed it very much. My brothers spent their time fishing in the man-made lake, while their kids played in the pool. The kitchen was big enough to feed all 12 of us. Everything was in perfect working order. We are in the talks about renting this place again.

HUGE and beautiful property!
Our family of six had a wonderful time at the property. We were down to visit family and the backyard and pool area was perfect for hosting a family BBQ. The home was beautiful we enjoyed the large kitchen and the massive master bathroom. Sylvia was always available for any questions and very helpful. Excellent Property, Wonderful Owners and Staff
Several of us travelled to Harlingen to do some bird watching along the Rio Grande Valley. We used this BEAUTIFUL home as our base. The home is everything shown in the photos and more. As birding nerds, we were thrilled to find the home sits on a beautiful lake that has a tremendous amount of wildlife to watch as we enjoyed a beverage or two, or three while sitting in the hot tub or just relaxing next to the pool. We even found a few rare birds as we relaxed after a hard day of birding in the valley. I would recommend this home to anyone who has a large group or family. Thanks for a wonderful experience Sylvia, Doug and the entire crew that makes this house so wonderful.

Beautiful home with many amenities and beautiful area.
This was our second uear for couples to rent the house for a week while in town for a golf tournament. The house is lovely, clean, and spacious. However, we need 6 bedrooms with 6 baths with them, and the house actually has only 5 usable bedrooms and 4 useable bathrooms for us. The other baths are attached to a gameroom on the third floor and a unusable pool room and bathroom off the garage and pool (no furniture and broken shower). One bedroom is entered through the master bedroom and you have to go through the master bedroom to get to the master bath if you are sharing it with the master. Not acceptable to our guys!!! Would be fine for children if you want them in your bedroom, too. Everything worked well, and the local contact was very helpful. We will stay there again, but with fewer couples.

Fantastic house and location!
Nine friends from British Columbia, Washington State and Wyoming stayed for a week during a birding festival. The house was exactly as advertised and a wonderful place to end the day for all of us. Sylvia was fantastic and responsive when we had a little problem with a bathtub drain. The games room futon was adequate, as was the sofa bed, but future renters who will use all eight bedrooms might want to settle who gets the "lesser" beds ahead of time! Thank heavens for air conditioning in the games room! We will definitely do this again.

More than we could ask for
Wonderful stay! 9 of us came in from out of state for a wedding and had a terrific stay. Aside from a few minor wear and tear items the house itself was clean, beautiful and incredibly spacious. We all had plenty of privacy from each when needed. Close to the airport, no issues with neighbors, and the property manager Sylvia was incredibly sweet to us. Would highly recommend this property for a group even as large as 15+

Amazing property and location
We stayed a week at this awesome property. Initially, we had an issue with the air conditioning on the second floor not working, but one call to Silvia, the property manager, and she had someone there that day to fix it. The property was clean and well stocked, with very few areas that were respectfully requested as private. There were a few areas that weren't kid friendly, meaning there are expensive furniture items or breakables, but we just made them off-limits for our children. We didn't have the pleasure of socializing with any of the neighbors, but there were absolutely no issues on that front either. The neighborhood is very quiet. I would highly recommend this property to anyone with a large family or multiple families looking for a great location, an incredible property, and a property manager who goes above and beyond.

My family enjoyed the stay at this house. There was an issue with a couple of snakes in the house and a really big snake on the back patio. Additionally, being close to a resaca and having a lot of palm trees in the area, there were a couple of large roaches we killed--it's a Valley thing. The contact we had in Harlingen, Sylvia, was a very nice person to be in touch with throughout our stay. She made sure we were well taken care of throughout the week we were there. I would stay at this house again.

We really enjoyed our stay . The home has a very nice set up ,very comfortable for having family stop by.We really enjoyed the outdoors with such a beautiful view. Love having enough bathrooms . Small bedroom downstairs was perfect for my sister-law .Parking was great since we rented 3 cars. Very convenient to the airport. Hoping we will do it again soon.
