The location of this property relative to the park is why we chose to stay here. It's a nice property, well maintained, and clean. The rooms are a nice size and have everything you need. The outdoor area with tables and chairs for relaxing is very nice. The only thing that created a problem is that using their mailing address in your GPS will get you to a location 13 miles away! That's a lot on a 2 lane winding road after a long day of traveling! The description should say it's in Buck Meadows even if the mailing address is different. That would at least keep people from driving right past it.

We stayed here after visiting Yosemite for two days. This place was very homey and beautiful. The room was up-to-date and very clean and we enjoyed our stay. We liked the swimming pool and hot tub as well as the diner next-door. Staff were friendly and kind and informative.

Room maintenance issues, coffee maker did not work, air conditioning unit tripped regularly after less than a minute of operation ( tried different temp setting), toilet flushing issues, had to use the first floor guest restroom first day.

We had very clean, comfortable accomodations! The beds were great for getting a good night sleep….or was it walking around Yosemite all day that assured good sleep!!!???😉 Very noisy group of kid# above our room ( not the property’s fault and lots of noisy birds . An hour from Yosemite Valley. Good restaurant next door.

We had a great stay. Enjoyed Yosemite National Park - so easy to get to the entrance. Property was great. Had picnic meals a couple of times. Enjoyed wine on Adirondack chairs a couple of nights. Nice to walk to restaurant next door. Good food, wonderful staff. Cleaning staff was very efficient and did a good job supplying us with what we needed. Jennifer at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Front desk staff over weekend and when we checked out was rude.

The reason I don’t give your property a five star is because how thin the walls are I actually felt like the person in the room next to me was in my room talking and they weren’t yelling. I could understand every word I could hear when they got a text I was in room 504. Not sure if something can be done about that. It was truly crazy how well I could hear them. Also the night we got in I was having trouble with the remote the gentleman that came and helped us was incredibly rude. He did come back a couple minutes later and was very nice. However, he did not apologize for his behavior. I just attribute it to him having a bad day, I work with the general public so I know how hard it can be. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and kind. I did love how clean my room and the property was.

Yosemite Westgate Lodge is a 20-minute drive from the Big Oak Flat gate - Hwy 120. Did not see anything nearer. It is nicely furnished and property is pristine. Our room seemed like good hotel. The more rustic restaurant and bar next door has a full menu for every meal and is open from 7 am to 9 pm. Had 4 meals there and would have liked to try more from the dinner menu.

We liked the hotel location; it was safe, and parking was easy. Shopping was in Groveland, and you had to drive to get there. Dining options was limited. Uncle Buck's was good and convenient but got crowded at times. The next dining location was several miles away. The hotel was located outside the National Park, but convenient to access the park. We visited Yosemite Park several times and also visited Big Trees State Park, Arnold, CA and 1897 Rail Town, Jamestown, CA.

Very close to Yosemite for a very good price. Everything was beautiful and clean. My only critique was that the pool was dirty, and didn't seem like a priority to get cleaned.

Only 1.5hrs from either Hetch Hetchy or Yosemite Valley. Nice facility, the mattresses could use an upgrade, overall pretty good place. I’d come back for sure! Cafe next door was really good, service was good but understaffed which seems to be the normal these days so be prepared to wait.

Property is nice enough, but service was horrendous. Walked into the room and discovered thermostat handing from the wall and reading 54 degrees F. I tried my best to adjust it but had no idea how to do so. I called reception and asked for help and she said she couldn’t assist. I then asked if she could send maintenance, but she told me that they had all left for the day. Please bear in mind that check-in as at 3:00 and I arrived at 5:00. So apparently maintenance staff all leave before the guests arrive. I was offered a space heater but had paid almost $300 CDN/night for the hotel, so I expected heating that worked. Someone eventually arrives who was able to address the thermostat issue, but just a horrible experience to begin our stay

Very quiet place to stay, and the restaurant is right next door, and this hotel is usually just for tourists going in or out of Yosemite National Park. The quality of this place is great compares to Yosemite Cedar Lodge.

We are here at the beginning of April 2024. Our room was on the second floor of building one. Room was very clean, very quiet, in a very good condition. Two minor drawbacks: Coffee from the in-room coffee maker was horrible. Front desk lady was, to my great amazement, completely unaware of a nearby landmark called the Dead Giant Tunnel Tree at Tuolumne Grove. Otherwise, everything else was great.

We had a wonderful stay at the Westgate Lodge the night before heading into Yosemite. There’s one restaurant onsite and it has limited hours post-pandemic. I suggest check their hours and plan ahead. There’s the little town Groveland that has food options not too far away. It was as clean as it gets. Maybe the office chair needs an upgrade as it was worn. The kids playground is a plus if you have children.
