1st Hotel stay after COVID-19 Lockdown...
Staff and Service really nice and helpful, considering the challenging circumstances after the COVID-19 lockdown, however..., The rooms are in real need for a facelift to appeal and provide the comfort to meet todays standards. The breakfast area/bar could also get a more 'homely' feel and touch as it new looks more like a corporate canteen. The whole experience especially the breakfast procedures felt more like a hospital visit than having a nice 'breakfast with the family'... but we do understand the challenges the hotel faces keeping all guests healthy and safe and those procedures completely spoils the feeling of a 'nice weekend out with the family'. Suggestion: Don't let all guests put on latex gloves, all food in plastic wrappers etc. but switch from buffet style to breakfast being served by only one or two staff members who are wearing gloves and de-contaminate everything etc. This way, you also don't need a 'one-way' traffic system in a space which really can't handle that when you also try to accommodate a bus-load of Germans, so all other guests had to be allocated a ridiculous early breakfast time... I know, challenging times and the staff were lovely and helpful to try to hide all unpleasant procedures, but I can imagine it to be done differently, more pleasantly whilst adhering to the health and safety guidelines. One set of procedures for all your hotels, regardless of space and size won't work. Let the hotels independently decide what works.
