Great place to spend Thanksgiving

We booked the house for our family to spend Thanksgiving at the beach. It did not disappoint! Check in was smooth, the house was really nice, and was exactly as described. We will definitely be back!

Great location perfect spot

Place stayed cool despite baking in the sun all day. Access to the beach was private and very nice. We ate inside and outside on the picnic table. This was a perfect spot with gorgeous views, great beds, nice sheets and plenty of kitchen gadgets and cookware for everything. We made all our meals while there and it was perfect. The house is now blue though!

Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful time. The home was clean and looked just like the photos posted. The sliding glass door needs to be repaired, it was very difficult to open and close. We spent most of our time on the porch. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook as a family. We are planning another trip here in the future.

Good value and ON THE BEACH

Right on the beach, huge deck overlooking ocean. House was clean. If you want a clean no frills house on the beach this is a good one. The yard has way too much garbage blown in from the beach they don’t clean up, but otherwise no complaints.

The house is a cool house with large windows and a large deck overlooking the ocean so the property is in a good location. The condition of everything was just OK - a lot of wear and tear with the main issue being that the sliding door to the deck needs to be fixed/replaced as it's almost unusable as is.The sleeping arrangements are nice and comfortable as is the family/living area.It's priced less than many others with a similar location and you get a little less in the quality of the house and limited kitchen amenities.

Beautiful view!

All in all this was a great place to stay. It was well stocked with everything needed. Very clean and the view can’t be beat. You can walk to the beach in 2 minutes - amazing! The property does need work, however. The sliding door to the porch is very, very difficult to open and has not been fixed (other reviews say the same). Some of the chairs inside and outside literally fell apart at the first touch. Hope it can get some love, because it’s in the best location.

Perfect house

Loved the location, and closness of the beach. Only problem i had was the sliding door needed fixed but i could still pick it up to open it. Listing said all bedrooms were upstairs. Technically yes because the house is on stilts but when inside, you have 2 bedrooms downstairs and the master upstairs. I had a great time and will rent again.

Cold AC and great location

The property is pretty run down. The sub floors are soft and the kitchen tiles are broken. The walls are bubbled and appear to be water damaged. However, the location is perfect and had all the amenities we needed. We did have to purchase some supplies like paper towels, oven mitts, and cook wear. The teflon is very scratched and dangerous to cook on. So I recommend bringing your own or purchasing before cooking. We left everything accpet the cook wear.

Location is great, right on the beach, and wonderful views of the gulf. The house is run down. The front door does not stay shut unless it is dead bolted. It does not properly seal so you can see daylight even when the door is locked. The floor has soft spots in it and feels like it’s going to give away when you step on them. In general, the house needs some Maintenance and repair.

Beautiful view

When we first got there it was about a week after they had a Hurricane. So when we got there the driveway was built up with sand and we spun getting in. Got the key and there was sand build up on the floors. The WiFi didn’t work so we had no tv till the day before we left. We couldn’t use the outside shower because of the sand and trash cans was filled with sand in front of it. I did talk to the woman over the house and she got confused and said she thought I had canceled my trip. But it was someone else at another house that canceled. She did offer to make us a care package but I told her there was no need to do that. The beach was beautiful and you can find so many beautiful shells. But I will say I highly recommend you take bug repellent because the mosquitoes outside are vicious. But I would definitely stay here again. We loved it.

Location, location, location

Overall, location was the best thing going for this property. It is very dated. It needs some serious structural attention. The perimeter walls and floors are severely water damaged and spongy, to the point that the entire house sways anytime someone walked on the stairs or the wind gusted. The smell of mildew/mold was pretty extreme. If you have mold allergies, I would recommend staying somewhere else. However, the beachfront location is really nice, and the large deck outside was great as well. The public access road right next to the house is pretty busy, so watch your kids and pets if you are outside. Also had 3 rattlesnakes in the yards, so be aware.

Good home-horrible bed.

The house and location are really nice but the master bed is shameful. It’s got a deep cavern down the center of it that unusable. We had to sleep in bedroom #2, just so we wouldn’t both be trapped in the sinkhole. 2 earlier reviews mention the master bed to which the property management company replied “the owner has replaced furniture” but they left the junk mattress behind. So that isn’t an accurate statement. I haven’t seen a bed look this bad in fifty years. Also, there’s fence down and all the locals go zipping back and forth to the beach-thru the property driveway.

some things missing

Good location. A few things to improve: 1. Not timely feedback on questions. Listing says there is a grill, the manager said there was not so we did not bring charcoal (there is a nonfunctional one there). 2. Listing shows a lounge chair, but it wasn't there. 3. The front storm window cover wouldn't open and blocked the view of the ocean. Manager didn't reply when I texted/emailed. 4. Front door should have had instructions on how to lock. 5. They use a service which wasn't very timely with answers.

Great Stay but Affordability Does Reflect

Lovely home with a cool floor plan and isolated master and bath (with a king!) upstairs. Great location, but only if you don’t mind a busier beach. It’s directly on the public drive-up point so the weekend was slammed. Constant traffic and fishers. The broken storm door SIGNIFICANTLY reduced quality of the stay- I thought after all the winter and spring complaints it would be resolved. We arrived, and the entire bottom of the door track was filled with water and we had to immediately start cleaning. None of us could physically open the door, only my husband. So the beautiful balcony view- didn’t happen. You’d have to go outside and go around and climb stairs (to ANOTHER broken gate that didn’t latch.) Despite the view, there was a sad picnic table, one wobbly chair, and the other chair was dismantled in the corner. Things to know: 1. Washer gets stuck on spin cycle, maybe plan on using a laundry mat. 2. Ask about the status of that back door first! 3. Balcony isn’t pet friendly because gate doesn’t latch and is broken. 4. Very well stocked amenities! Couldn’t be happier. Lots of towels! 5. Wear shoes in the kitchen or broken tile will cut you. 6. Plan a taking the public beach access turn BEFORE your GPS turn to access the house. Overall it was a great stay, just really wish we had been able to step out on the balcony since we booked a front row beach home.

As Long As You Know What to Expect...

We have stayed in many rentals and our expectations might be a little high on what the average property provides but we were somewhat disappointed in this one. The biggest complaint is that this house is located on the small public beach access along the private beaches of sea isle. The only access to the beach is this busy public road. I think we wouldnt have been as perturbed if this had been disclosed in the description. Every afternoon the same group of people would arrive for their daily get together. Not to mention the traffic going by the house and the only path to the beach where our kids could not safely walk back by themselves. Add to this the lack of towels. The house sleeps 10 but we only had 6 bath towels (no beach towels and only 1 kitchen towel). Also most homes have basic supplies like salt and pepper, sugar, spices, leftover necessities but this one does not. Just be prepared to pack EVERYTHING you think you need because this rental is bare bones. It also needs some maintaince and attention: master shower doesnt close so water gets on the floor, outlet exposed in master, deck boards loose, only 2 butter knives and poorly stocked kitchen etc.). As long as you are aware of all this and are ok with it then this would be a sufficient rental.

Cute house

Our family had a great time on our trip here! Cozy beds and nice open floorplan. Stairs had some nails that need to be hammered down more and were missing the bottom step. Other than that things were nice.

Wouldnt recommend

The good: the location is a front row house right in the water with an incredible view. Its dog friendly It was very well-stocked with plenty of linens and soaps- basically everything we needed except trash bags. The inside of the house has a nice open layout for the common areas and private bedrooms The bad: like another review said, the sand is way too deep in front of the driveway that you cannot park in the driveway. We had to park off to the side of the public access road. I did not feel my car was very secure this way. I attenpted to contact the management company twice with no response. The upstairs toilet did not flush. The house has not been kept up and taken care of the way one would expect. The upstairs closet door literally fell on me. Overall, the parking situation, upstairs toilet and lack of communication from the management company,are the reasons I wouldnt stay there again.
