Nice but very noisy!
Everything in this hotel is perfect… other than the location. You’ll see in the description and most reviews that this hotel is located on a busy bar street. But the bars are more like night clubs which are open until 5AM. The music WILL keep you awake, even with the ear plugs provided. I had to sleep with earphones playing white noise all night and even then I woke up several times from the music and people shouting on the street. The hotel itself is chic, the vegan breakfast is lovely although it is a small selection.

Overall I love this place and would stay there again. I really enjoyed having access to laundry and full kitchen! Downsides were that it was a bit noisy from the pub across the alley that closes at 5am. Also the value of the breakfast did not match the price.

This hotel is super cute, just like the pictures. It is in a very popular, busy partying area, which is part of the reason we booked there. It didn't affect our sleep whatsoever. We thought the windows did a great job sealing out the noise. It is so close to about anything you would want to do in downtown Frankfurt. We had a great time staying here. The checkin was slightly confusing because it is automated, but there were staff around who were very nice and welcoming who can help out if you have trouble. I would stay here again!

A very stylish, contemporary and chic, fashionable hotel in the perfect district for dinning in Frankfurt! The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in anywhere in the World! A perfect location for the Traveller whether they are staying for one night or a week. The self-service theme was a bit daunting to an older Traveller like myself but once I got over the “surprise” that there was no attendant at a front desk to check in; I go through it with my iPhone. I would suggest that you make your guests more aware of this “virtual” check-in style so the are not “surprised” by it as we were. I did meet two of the staff and they were very charming and attentive as well as informative about their contemporary “virtual” hotel!

We had a great time staying here! It was the first night of our honeymoon and the pretty decorations and aesthetic couldn’t have been better. Very clean, friendly staff, and great location. Restaurants surrounding were delicious and we were able to see some live music in a basement bar a few blocks away. We will definitely be staying here again next time we are in Frankfurt.

Double-Charged For A Horrible Hostel-Style Stay
Horrible hotel experience, it one can even call this a hotel. It is really more of a hostel, with no hotel amenities and no staff to assist you. I could not even buy a cup of coffee in the morning. Not only was it a terrible stay, but I was double charged for it! The check-in machine charged me 60 Euros after I had already paid for the reservation in full on Hotels.com. There were no staff members onsite to assist me and when I contacted the hotel via the Hotels.com dispute process they refused to refund the extra money and I was forced to do a chargeback.

Great place to stay. The maisonettes are a great size for two people. Delicious breakfast and interesting concept with community kitchen. There could be better communication in room about the kitchen and how it works as well as check out. 8 is also a bit late for breakfast when most hotels serve at 6:30/7.

The hotel was very elegant and artsy in the middle of party central Alt-Sachsenhausen. The room had good noise- canceling windows- which was beneficial because music was going until 0400. Good earplugs are a must. This was a beautifully appointed hotel with great service. Highly recommend. Breakfast is vegan and gluten-free.

Great location next to a lot of bars and restaurants, on both sides of the river. Short walking distance to the river, bridges and old town. Fun, modern decor and well priced for the location. Bathroom was big, bed was comfortable. As other reviews have said (as has the property), there is a lot of street noise from the bars, but we didn't have any issues with the window closed and turned the fan in the room on. Friendly staff, no issues checking in. Our favourite neighbourhood to stay in. Definitely will be back some day and wouldn't hesitate to stay in their other properties. Thank you!

The staff was amazing. The extra amenities like the kitchen and common areas were nice but unnecessary for my trip. The room had a little loft for the bed area and the stairs were a little annoying when you wanted to use the bed or desk area. Good idea but not useful especially more than one person in the room.

I arrived at the property a bit early and very jet-lagged. Friendly staff was there to greet me and get me into my room as quickly as they could accommodate which was much appreciated! While staff isn’t physically available around the clock, an easy key code system, daily housekeeping, as well as a 24hr mini snack bar were all super convenient. The room was the perfect size and very cute and cozy and I felt very safe as a solo traveler. It should be noted that the hotel is situated in a very popular area of town where the nightlife tends to be pretty loud and rages on until 3am most nights. There is also no central air in the rooms so the only way to cool the room down is by opening a window. Luckily, I stayed during a chilly time of year and I have no trouble sleeping through noise so my stay was super comfortable!

This property is clean and neat and the bed is very comfortable. Room although not large is ample. Unusual hotel in that there are no staff on most of the time as everything is by code to enter hotel and rooms and there is a phone number to contact staff if needed. This worked fine for me. The area around the hotel is great.

Overall my stay was great, but the bikes they had for free use pretty much all had flat tires and the bike pump didn’t work. The little gym was cute and the common kitchen area was awesome, though. Would stay again.

Definitely a unique place with pleasant and welcoming staff. The concept of a shared “community” is different and took a bit of adjusting (on my part). Room was large and very comfortable. The neighborhood is fun and funky and certainly more interesting than the Altstadt. Free laundry facilities in the basement, which was a godsend after 2 weeks of travel.

Wonderful stay. Friendly, helpful staff. The 5th floor kitchen and shop is such a nice amenity ! The area is walkable and easily accessible to sights, public transport and restaurants. My room was comfortable and cozy with a boutique hotel feel. Thanks for making my first visit to Germany so welcoming

Checkin process after hours was a little daunting as it all electronic. Also, we had the hardest time finding our room as there were no directions posted. Room was clean, but bed and room were overall uncomfortable. The comforter was scratchy, the pillows were flat, and there is no central air. We were aware of this, and had looked forward to a sufficient fan being provided. However, only a very small table fan was available. This hotel is in a bar scene and said bars do not close until 0430-0500!!!! Ear buds are not enough!!! Just a few things to be mindful before booking here.

Nice hotel, but in a very noisy part of town, no advance warning of that, so very poor sleep even with windows closed. So what should have been a good stay was not great if I am honest. Disappointing.

This place is beautiful, clean, newly remodeled, and in a great location. The free gym, free laundry, and shared kitchen are really great. No hot water when I took my shower on day 2, which was pretty inconvenient. Also, I was never able to get ahold of any staff when I sent them multiple messages on Expedia; so I think they could improve on this front. They say to download WhatsApp to send them messages, but it would just be nice if they responded to the Expedia messages like other lodging. The tel # they provided did work to reach someone, though. The self-check-in process went well except it asked for a pin when using my credit card. I don’t have a credit car pin so I ended up using my debit card, which is undesirable due to not earning the airline miles (just a minor inconvenience). The room was unbearably hot (Sept 5-7), as there’s no AC. The only way to cool the room down to make it comfortable enough to sleep was to open both windows all the way at night, which precludes shutting the curtains and let’s in all the very loud noise from the bars surrounding all sides of the intersection/plaza at the base of the hotel. Monday was noisy, but Tuesday was really bad. Earplugs and a sleeping mask did the trick, but you won’t get any sleep without these. We were on the 3rd floor in a corner room, closest to the bar intersection. It would also be nice if they explicitly told you that you could put stuff in the shared fridge. Overall, we recommend it and would stay here again.

Too hot and loud
Great service but the lack of AC and very loud area made it an extremely uncomfortable stay. You cannot sleep with the windows closed as the room gets really hot, but can't leave the windows open either Bernstein the bars on the street stay open and crowded (and very noisy) until 3 am every night
