Beautiful farmhouse B&B!!

Amazing stay! My husband and I only stayed one night, but we loved it! Scott and Matt are the ultimate hosts and we will be going back every year, if not more for quick getaways! Highly recommended!

Amazing bed and breakfast farm - Scott the owner is fantastic and he is an amazing chef! Food was delicious served with warm hospitality- all local produce, with chickens, ducks, turkeys, cows and lots of kitty's and 3 dogs to keep you company would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Great bed and breakfast a short drive from Kansas City

This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast. I cannot imagine one being much better! I stayed there for 2 nights midweek and had a wonderfully relaxing time. The food is great (most of it is made from scratch), the views are beautiful, the whole place is relaxing and clean, and the animals are amusing. This is a great place to unwind and rest. I read books, did some yoga, went on walks/hikes, ate some great food, and just sat around relaxing. You could also do things like swim in the pool or fish. You'll want to bring comfy shoes so you can explore, and I strongly recommend adding the dinners to your stay.

Best B&B Experience Ever

This was the most relaxing time spent at any B&B I have ever been to. The presence of the animals was delightful during my outside time with lots of shade for relaxing even in the summer. Several well maintained walking trails to enjoy daily. Beautiful well kept pool to enjoy. Amazing food! Scott is the best cook. He and Matt were great hosts, they made us feel right at home. Would go again!

Best B&B EVER!

Best B & B ever! Whatever you're looking for you'll find it here! Great food (everything from scratch), swimming, reading, hiking, scenic views, and that's not to mention the animals! Matt and Scott are wonderful. We were spoiled rotten! Just what we needed.

Bliss in the Country

How wonderful to stay at a B&B with full use of the kitchen for evening dinner prep. Scott & Mitch made us feel like their home was ours. Working farm with fresh, made from scratch breakfast (including yard eggs). House is fully restored and most likely decorated better than it ever has been in it's 100+ year history. Highly recommended for anyone travelling on US-169.

Fun and relaxing for the whole family

Great experience for the whole family. Fresh breakfast cooked in the morning was delicious. The kids loved playing with the dogs and kittens outside. The little one loved the cows and chickens!

Charming Country Getaway

This was just a short getaway to check out the bands at the Paola Roots Festival. But Netherfield Natural Farm turned out to be a really pleasant surprise. This bed and breakfast is situated on an original Kansas farmstead established in the mid-19th century and kept in the same family until the 1940s. The original house and barn, beautifully and lovingly preserved by the hosts, Scott and Matt, have amazing character, enjoyable views of the surrounding countryside, and just a very comfortable feel. And it turns out that Scott is a gourmet cook, so the breakfast we had was wonderful. If we had a regret about our stay it was that we were not able to have dinner at Netherfield Natural Farm. So if you visit, absolutely have dinner at the farm at least one night.

Perfection

Scott and Matt are lovely hosts. I came here midweek for a few days to unwind and had the place to myself. Chickens, turkeys and dogs roam freely. Simple and well kept trails run through the property and there is a pond for fishing. Ellie and Adele, their Great Pyrenees and sometimes Cocoa, the neighbor's Chocolate Lab will accompany you on a walk. Breakfast was homemade biscuits. Scott was kind enough to give me the recipe. For a few dollars more lunch and dinner are provided and it is well worth it. Scott made stuffed sandwiches for lunch, again from scratch. He is quite the bread baker. Matt grilled up some fresh squash from their garden along with grass fed steaks. The house is clean, comfortable and well decorated. I stayed in the Jesse & Rhoda Vance room. It has an eastward facing balcony, which was lovely for watching the sunrise. The best part is the private bathroom with a deep Jacuzzi tub with room for two. Perfect for soaking after a hard day of doing absolutely nothing besides wandering from the pool to the shaded hammock for a nap. There are a couple of towns about 20-30 minutes away but I never left the farm. There is a separate barn with a charming bar available. I suggest you bring your own adult beverages as those are not provided. Its a great alternative with a unique atmosphere. Scott and Matt will entertain you as much or as little as you want. While I am regretful to leave I look forward to coming back. I had a fantastic time. I wanted to relax and decompress for a couple of days and thats exactly what I got. My expectations were exceeded.

Best idea yet!

This was our first B & B experience. We loved the home cooked delicious meals, all the farm life (they even let you help if you ask!) and especially loved the super comfortable beds. We will definitely be back! Also, if you have children, any age, I think they'd have a blast with all the fun things to do at the house!
