Great location in an area with very few options for accommodation. I was working at the Elmore events centre and needed somewhere with internet access so I could continue working at night. The bed was comfortable and we loved our good old fashioned pub meals. The chips were the best we’d had in ages but the vegetables were very garlicky which I use to love but can no longer tolerate. The atmosphere was great. Bed was fine, I can be very picky as I have trouble sleeping but I wasn’t uncomfortable. Heater worked well, we weren’t prepared for how cold it would be so this was appropriated.
I believe the hotel should get in touch with visitors with check in information prior to their stay. It shouldn’t be up to guests to contact the hotel. There was no information in the room about the hotel, rules, visitor information or how to connect to their wifi. I had to go into the bar to ask for the wifi password. I wasn’t able to connect and had to tether to my phone which was a pain.
I couldn’t locate a hairdryer but that’s not essential for an overnight stay.
There were small yappy dogs barking all night, this should be reported to council as I believe they were in the property behind the room and that kind of noise is never acceptable in town.
