The bridge cottage was adequate as far as kitchenware. Plenty of dishes pots pans etc…The area was quiet and peaceful but I have to comment about the musty dank odor that we experienced for three days. I believe the majority of it was coming from the couch which we refused to sit on. This really put a damper on our stay. Recommend a thorough cleaning or new furniture.

Received nothing for my money.
Stayed here for the holiday weekend. The staff were nice and helpful. The cottage was in need of extreme updating and cleaning. The windows would not stay open they just kept falling down when I tried to open them. The water pressure sucked. The cottage was not well cleaned upon my arrival, although each guest is required to pay a cleaning fee as part of their stay. Which mentioning the cleaning fee, I was charged a cleaning fee even though no one did any cleaning during my stay or before my stay. Also, I was required to take my own garbage out to the garbage bin and also, I was required to remove my bedding and leave it in the middle of the bed upon my exit of the property. They don't offer any housekeeping, so I am confused why I was charged a cleaning fee for my stay, even though I was required to do my own cleaning. They also had nerve enough to leave an envelope for maid service tip, even though I was the maid of my own cottage. They also charge you for linens and don't provide fresh ones. The only thing you get with your room that is complimentary is flat pillows and unwashed blanket, dishes that are really old and look like they were purchased from lawn sales, which reminds me you have to wash your own dishes before you leave even though I paid a cleaning fee. The staff were nice but eveything else was not good. Would not stay here again because, you get overcharged and don't receive anything for your money. If I wanted to be my own maid I would have stayed home.

A very pleasant stay. I would describe the condition of our cottage as well lived in, but reasonably so. We enjoyed the water view from our screened in porch and wish we had time to also enjoy the firepit next to our cottage. We will surely consider staying here again in the future 🙂

It was very clean! It was an older cottage but it appeared they were updating it. There is a kitchen but there was no dish detergent. But, yes. I would stay there again.

Overall it was great time close to all things we wanted to do and there is a wawa about 2 miles up the road... my only gripe is soon as it got dark all the loud muffler cars came out and seemed to race back and forth down the roads...

We are pretty easy going people, but unfortunately our stay just fell short all the way around. When we arrived, there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and items leftover from the previous person under the beds. One of the windows wouldn’t shut all the way in the bedroom, the back door would not close all the way, which made for a freezing night. One space heater was provided. When I informed the owner about these, his response was to “come back in the spring.” Also for the price, bed linens and towels should be included.

Fantastic place
I had a great time at Echo Valley. My cabin was clean and quiet. I love the amenities in the property as well. The place is conveniently located near shops, and restaurants. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to relax.

Terribly dirty
We were very disappointed with our stay. We booked here because it was dog friendly. However when we arrived and the owner saw a dog he said there was an additional $25 fee. After booking we also received an email saying that there was an additional $25 fee for towels and linens. Thank goodness we decided to bring our own towels and linens. The cottage was absolutely filthy.There were literally mouse droppings around the cottage and ants in the bathroom and kitchen. I sat down at the kitchen table and stuck to the chair.The grounds Outside of the cottage were very nice and the pool area also looked very nice although we didn’t have a chance to go swimming. It really is a shame that the cottage itself was so filthy Because this could’ve been a very nice stay.

I too am disappointed that we failed to provide you with a pleasant experience. I will share your concerns with my housekeeping staff, and I will do a better job ensuring cottages are inspected after housekeeping and prior to check-in. With regards to fees.. in an effort to set expectations for guest booking thru third parties, I included in the confirmation that guest should contact us so there are no suprises. As a guest traveling with a pet i suggest visiting the establishment's website to review their policies.

The furniture was really old and dirty. I felt very uncomfortable sleeping on the bed (and I brought my own sheets/pillows). I wouldn’t use any of the tableware as it look like it was never washed. There’s no lake as advertised. I’d never go back.

This property was a horrible disappointment. Infested with mice and droppings and the entire cabin smelled like mold. I opened a drawer in the kitchen looking for utensils and found a nest of baby mice, which I took outside and threw into the woods. There were dropping everywhere in the kitchen area and near the fridge. I was afraid to leave any food we brought out because I didn't want to attract more mice, so I locked everything we brought in the fridge. Over the next day, we saw and photographed multiple mice wandering freely around the kitchen and all over the countertop. The house also stunk like mold and was musty. We needed to wash everything we brought with us because it all ended up stinking like mold and must. Ill be contacting the local township to have them inspect this place to make sure its not infested with dangerous mold.

Towels and bedsheets were not included. They cost an additional 25$. They were not put on the bed, we had to make the bed ourselves. The sheets had a stain on them. Then we used some extra blankets from the closet and they had stains as well

Third year I’ve been here, some upgrades occurred. Now there’s a sofa bed in the living room so you can invite more guests if you wish. There were also some paddle boats for use as well, along with the usual rowboat. I love this place but more importantly so did my family and friends. My 4 year old is still talking about it, saying she can’t wait to go back and make s’mores and swim in the pool. You honestly cannot beat the price and the amount of amenities included (playground, volleyball, mini golf, row boats/paddle boats, grill, fire pit, pool with pool toys and floaters). Plus the cabins are clean, it’s super quiet and beautiful scenery and the stores are only a 5 minute drive away if you need something.

2nd time around
What can I tell you guys that I didn’t say the first time I visited? Not sure but I’ll just “echo” (pun intended!) my last review. I LOVE this place, I love getting away to a nice, quiet, charming, and clean place. The owners are super friendly, I mean if you don’t find what you’re looking for in the area not sure why. Hiram hooks you up all the way, after teaching us how to make a fire, he made our fire (ok don’t judge us cause we couldn’t get it). Because of him we knew where to go to see some fireworks and there’s just nothing to complain about. If you want family friendly, peace and quiet, with a little bit of swimming then this is the place to visit!!!

Location... Location..... :)
Location! Location!! We went with my family to explore the Delaware water gap National Park, and we were not disappointed!! The cabin is close to supermarkets, cvs, gas stations, etc., and at the same time is hidden around trees. Beautiful location. It was easy for us to go hiking all day, and have our cabin near to rest after a long day. The cabin is old, but it gives you the feeling that you are in the country side away from city life. We had some issues with some appliances, but management resolved those quickly. I will definitely recommend this place. This is the place to stay if you want to explore the beauties of nature in Pennsylvania.. away from technology and city life. The only thing I have to ask management is to add a toaster.

Nice quiet cottage
The cottage was a little rustic but was fine, everything in the cabin worked well. Very convenient to have your own fire pit BBQ .Pool in walking distance and property very clean , would def visit again.

nice private location
we were looking for a restful couple of days and Hiram delivered just that. The screened in porch, outdoor picnic table and firepit were perfect. The entire grounds are well maintained and mini golf and pool looked great for kids. Not far off rt 209 so close to food and activities but completely secluded from the hustle and bustle. We were greeted upon arrival and assured that all our requests and questions were answered and given phone #s in case we needed them then left alone to rest, relax and enjoy our surroundings. We booked a stay for the fall as soon as we got home !

Best Family Trip
This place was great. My family wanted some place quite and relaxing yet with activities to do around the area for the kids.Thank you Hiram (owner).The service was great the pool was very clean and the place we stayed was perfect. All well maintained and most importantly clean.Hiram was very accommodating and made us feel like family. If you're looking for a relaxing get away this is a place to check out. Going forward to going back there again.
