Modern convenience plus quiet and a good rest.
Waterview cottage is comfortable and very clean. The accommodations look new and we had good sleep. The kitchen has most of the necessary equipment for meal preparation. A baking sheet pan is needed. WiFi and Roku TV was excellent. The primary bedroom bed was so tall/high my wife could not get in or out of it. That necessitated sleeping in the 2 twins. Plus, one of the twins was missing the top mini mattress. The view is mostly of the neighborhood street, nearby homes and their roofs and a small section of the Bay from the back deck and down the street view from the front deck. Nice deck furniture. Also, although warned by the website details, pay attention that there are no major or even smaller grocery stores closer than Cecilton (7.3 miles) and that is a large Dollar General.

Come for the view, stay for the neighbors
Nicely redone two BR cottage, lots of space in LR for pull out couch (my son found it was decent quality 👍). Wonderful to have a water view from both the front and back decks - short walk to the water (6 houses back?). Treats on arrival were a kind bonus. Even though it rained a few days, found things to do (wineries, Amish Market, Chesapeake City). No stores very close, so bring food - but also ate at the local Beach Bar — Fun group of neighbors around the bar (like Cheers!). Next door neighbor was nice - but be a good visitor and be respectful and keep the cars off the edge of the lawn. Chris helped us out with a small issue late evening - she was there right away . Wonderful place near the water! 👍👍

Great Thanksgiving weekend!
We used this cozy cottage as overflow for a Thanksgiving get-together at relatives in the area. It was wonderful having our own place where we could relax and recharge. We loved the cute, updated, well-planned rooms. We walked along the water every morning, enjoying the peace and views. Our favorite activity was a 12 mile bike ride on the paved trail starting in nearby Chesapeake City. Will definitely book here again when in the Earleville area!

Communication with the host was excellent and check-in was easy. The size of the cabin was just perfect for us, cozy and comfortable and very clean. The living room was spacious for us to play board games and lounge. We found everything we needed to use in the kitchen and there was enough space to prepare and cook. The beds were comfortable, and we had a restful sleep. The location was awesome, and we found the neighborhood quiet and safe. It was a short walk to the beach, and we were able to watch the beautiful sunset and gorgeous view of the bay. We visited nearby state parks and saw picturesque towns along the way that added to our delight.

Had a great day Saturday, weather was wonderful !! Saw 2 bald eagles Sunday morning. Weather wasn’t great Sunday so we went to Chesapeake city and had a great time at the Chesapeake inn. Nice drive there!!loved the beach grill, sat outside , chatted with other folk sitting next to us. Everyone very friendly!!!

Beautiful Cottage
Cottage was immaculate! Neat, clean & well equipped! Owner was quick to respond. Problem for us was the location. Area was a bit sketchy, beach was not swimmable. Sunset, however, was gorgeous. This home is perfect if you just want to relax & enjoy the view. In terms of restaurants, things to do- not much there.

Chesapeake City(10 min) and Middletown(20 mins) are loaded with great restaurants and activities...shopping, movies, golf and axe throwing. Unfortunately, you did not visit our designated beach which is open to the public and is kept clean and most swimmable. Being apart of rural Maryland there are million $ properties among not so expensive properties. This is small America town living. Simple and relaxing. Thank you for visiting.

Summer fun at the cottage
Check in was super easy. The cottage was cute and clean. It had everything we needed to enjoy our time near friends. The community is quiet during the week and a bit busier on the weekends. The beach and the water were exactly what we expected. Looking forward to returning in the future.

Perfect Spot for our Team Retreat!
One of the best experiences we've had at a STR! The cottage was the perfect size and decor for our team retreat. It was clean, airy and bright; the kitchen was fully stocked with nice pots and pans, utensils, and even some common seasoning items; everything was in terrific condition and clean! The neighbors were also very nice, and it's so close to the water. We thoroughly enjoyed our walks around the neighborhood. I would highly recommend this STR for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Charming beach cottage
We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was so cute and charming. Owner very accessible and responsive. We had dinner at a local bar/restaurant down the street. Food was excellent and the staff and local patrons were super friendly.

Great place!
The house was bright and welcoming. Great little neighborhood. We spent most of our time on the back deck which was very nice with a view of the water. The freezer was well stocked with ice, which was nice. There are beach chairs and inner tubes available. I would highly recommend this rental. I hope to go back again next year.

Cute cottage with everything you need for a relaxing bay vacation
I couldn't have asked for anything more from this property and its owners. It was perfectly suited and sized to our family of 5: my husband, myself, my MIL, and our two toddlers (we even had a day visitor for two of the days and the home still didn't feel crowded). The house is well maintained and updated and we especially loved the outdoor shower and view of the bay from the back deck. The home was equipped with all the necessary kitchen utensils and cooking tools, extra towels and a few welcome treats. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

Secluded beach but a ton of sketchy stais
The house is very stylish & has a great view. The owners dropped in to make sure we got in ok. There was no phone service, so I didn't have access to the code to get into the house which was very hectic since I had instacart on the way, luckily the people at the convienience store were very helpful. The '3' blocks to the beach involves a few flights of very hairy stairs, which was impossible with a stroller and the way back is a heck of an uphill workout & you can't drive due to no parking. This leads to a beautiful secluded beach, with nice swimming. Wear water shoes, the entry is rocky & we noticed some broken glass on the beach. Optionally there is another beach within a few blocks that costs $6/person/day+$6parking (no discounts). This had a small crowd and a sandy bottom all the way out. The boat ramp here costs around $20, but has no dock. There were also alot of wasps in the yard & back deck. The owners left a bottle of wine. Evidently checkout is at 10am, although our VRBO confirmation clearly stated 11am. We got kicked out at 10:20, without being able to feed my baby, finish getting ready, and dumping my toilitries and baby things into bags. All in all, we had a nice stay and enjoyed the beach. I wish I had known about the phone service & had downloaded the code from vrbo messages.

Great vacation spot!
If you are looking for the best getaway near water look no further. This cottage was absolutely gorgeous! The pictures do not give it Justice. The details the owners put in this rental for guest was amazing, they thought of everything ! Water is amazing for a place to swim, all neighbors are super friendly. This is a must stay for vacation in my opinion :)

Perfect weekend cottage
Phenomenal host and very clean. From the moment we walked in we felt welcomed and comfortable. The host went the extra mile to leave snacks and even a bottle of wine. It was the perfect size for us and our two boys (both under 3). Will definitely return when in the area.

We loved our stay! It was such a nice, clean, and unique place! We went down to the open beach and watched the sun go down, just beautiful. Since we were there visiting family our family came by and we were able to relax on the back deck and hang out. Would definitely stay there again!!

From reviews this is a very new place. It's located in a friendly bayside community with walkable restaurants and beaches. The owners have gone to some effort to provide some touches like snacks and wine to guests, and there is plenty of ice in the freezer. The presence of a grill, ready to go, is a nice touch, and the kitchen was equipped to prepare a meal when we found all the nearby restaurants had already closed for the evening while we were picking groceries up for the next day. We didn't make use of the back deck but it certainly looked good for dining, and the flags on the fence around the front sitting area made it easy to find the place at different times of day.. That said, as a new place some things might need revision - at least for folks as short as my wife and I (5'2"&5'7"). The queen-size bed was so tall my wife decided she would just grab a bed in the child-oriented room with the two twin beds instead, though only one of those had a nightstand which she thought was strange since there was room for a second one. The bathtub was tall and curved outwards, and the bathmat offered no friction - a wall handle would have been appreciated. Also, most people use a cell phone these days, but it's worth noting that the master bedroom had no alarm clock. The owner was responsive to questions, and the check-in process was a breeze.

Easy weekend getaway on the Chesapeake
We were one of the first to stay at this recently renovated cabin in Crystal Beach on the Chesapeake. Owners did a good job renovating and newly furnishing the unit, which now looks very nice inside and out, and has all you need for a good stay. New appliances and grill work well, there's enough cookware/dishes for modest meals, tap water tasted fine, the beds and furniture were comfortable, shower had decent water pressure and enough hot water, central AC was able to keep the house cool despite 90 deg temps outside, and WiFi was strong and fast enough for streaming movies, etc. The owners were easy to contact and responsive any questions or needs that came up. Our only "complaint" is that the $200 non-refundable pet fee seemed excessive for a well-behaved 20lb dog, but it was listed up-front so we knew about it before booking. Location is a lively "middle-class" vacation neighborhood with lots of small cabins packed within walking distance of the beach. One of the immediate neighbors had a party one night while we were there and were a bit loud until midnight or so, but not so bad as the sound of the dishwasher drowned out their voices while we went to bed.... just FYI in case you definitely wanted super quiet nights. Nearby Crystal Beach (only a 3-5 min walk from this cabin) isn't in the same caliber as any of the ocean-side beaches in the Mid-Atlantic, but was nicely maintained by the neighborhood, had shallow 5-6ft water for ~100yds from shore, and got a nice breeze off the bay. All-in-all you should have a pleasant stay here, and is a super easy trip from anywhere in the DC-Baltimore-Philly area. Hope you enjoy as we did!
