Great camping pods with clean, modern facilities and at the door parking. Scenic spot in a quiet location, but with easy access to Dunkeld for great food options & shopping.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kennacoil. Accommodation absolutely spotless and very comfortable with everything that you could possibly need. Bottle of wine and milk in the fridge on arrival so thoughtful and very much appreciated! Dog friendly, also perfect base for exploring numerous walks in the area (comprehensive pack with walking suggestions ) Host made us feel very welcome on arrival and easily contactable if needed. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable stay, we hope to return soon!

Cant say enough about this place. What a wonderful evening we shared there. Nothing glamorous. Just a night with 3 of us playing cards and a few beverages. We were traveling Scotland without any pre-booked accommodations when I came across this gem. Owners were promp and professional. Woke up to a beautiful view! Thank you!

Was nothing like the picture that was advertised infact couldn’t have been anymore of the opposite! Walked into a shed with what could only be described as a jail mat in it and that was it!

I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with your stay. I don't know which picture you're referring to, but our website and communications are pretty clear about what the pods and facilities are like, including pictures of pods with "jail mats" inside. We will try to make some further clarifications.

Nice views but very basic.
As I’m new to pod type accommodation. I didn’t realise how basic they were. I appreciated being told we needed linen and towels. But I did expect beds. Also could you please put on your website that there are no dishes etc. We brought our own tea coffee breakfast etc but couldn’t eat or drink as there were no plates or cups. I found that very disappointing and must say I would not have booked a pod if I’d known the above.

I'm sorry that our accommodation was not what you were expecting. Pods 1-3 are from the original maker's first generation and it's true that some newer ones are more furnished and equipped.Our website does recommend that you bring everything you would bring on a camping trip except for a tent, and the photos show the futon mattresses inside the pod. We would have happily lent you some cups etc. had we known you were lacking them.Still, it seems our pods are a bad fit for Expedia's websites, so we will probably be withdrawing them soon.Thank you very much for the review and feedback.

Lovely 2 night break
Had a lovely stay in one of the apartment/lodges. Highly recommend and would definitely be back. In the middle of nowhere with lots of lovely walks with the dog. Still a short drive to Dunkeld if you need supplies. Outstanding views and hosts were brilliant, leaving us with well stocked utensils as well as milk, tea and coffee etc - not forgetting the bottle of wine.

Pod was nice, clean and quiet with beautiful surroundings, host was helpful and communication was easy, lovely toilets and kitchen area, we stayed in November so after the sun went down lighting wasn’t as good as I hoped only for the children getting up and down to the toilets but manageable and safe, we would definitely stay again, thank you 😊 x

This was our second time staying here - both times have been amazing! So close to beautiful walks and the view from the camping pods is absolutely beautiful. Temperature was below freezing one of the nights we were staying but still felt really cosy in the pod!

The owner met us on arrival. The pod was clean and equipped with a heater and lamp. The location was good and the view we woke up to was amazing. Toilets and showers were spotless. The pod had a box outside that contained everything to start the fire in the firepit. Wood available on request. Would definitely come back.

A Great Weekend Getaway
This is a very basic but very good pod. Be aware it has *nothing* in it. But the views, the area and the ambience are fantastic. The owners are kind and attentive and the facilities are nearby and clean, modern and tidy.

A true gem of a place - very relaxing and quiet. A great view to wake up to in the morning from the glamping pods. Second time I have stayed here and will most definitely be back at some point. Ideal for a short break. Toilets and kitchen always immediately clean.

Kennacoil is a fantastic location, peaceful, beautiful and just a few minutes walk from the wonderful Braan river path network . The apartment ( Craiglaggan ) that we were in was great , well equipped with a fantastic outlook

The apartment is very thoughtfully made and has every facility you would need for your stay. We were travelling with our 4 year old kid who only eats home cooked food. The kitchen was fully equipped with full range of utensils and cutleries that we ever needed. There was this small issue of power outage for couple of hours to which the hosts were quite prompt in following up and restoring. Top notch hospitality, will visit again if we get a chance.

We got a very warm welcome from Gemma. Our pod was very clean. The utilities room and toilets/showers were very clean also The site is small but wrll spaced out. Couple of miles away from village of Dunkeld. Perfect place for a total chillout.

Kennacoil was a lovely place. We stayed in one of the pet-friendly self-catering apartments. Plenty space, whilst remaining cosy. Decking was great to sit outside on and admire the scenery, whilst our dogs could relax in their beds next to the fire pit. Beds comfortable and the apartment had everything that we needed. Will be back at some point to stay in one of the Pods.

Beautiful country location. Very peaceful and quiet. Lots of local trails for hiking. Good central location to explore the surrounding area. We stayed two nights, and wished we could stay longer.
